Quick Questions on MFB/SS - FT-Sprite - Aug. 04, 2022

1. Are Shogun Steel parts compatible with MFB parts? (Namely tracks and bases, I know the faces aren't.)

2. If so, which part(s) should I look out for from Shogun Steel? Starting my collection from basically scratch now, and will be getting some MFBs soon.

Also man, is it ever hard to find a Bull or Aquario HWS variant without needing to pay an arm and a leg for a decent/NIB copy...

RE: Quick Questions on MFB/SS - MagikHorse - Aug. 07, 2022

1: You can't mix and match wheels between Shogun Steel/Zero-G and other MFB releases, and the bolt must match the type of wheels in use. No Ifrit Virgo or anything silly like that.

Shogun Steel/Zero-G tracks and tips are compatible with any other MFB tracks and tips. Circle Flat will work on a 105 or 230 just as easily as the Wing145 it usually comes with.

2: Circle Flat and Gear Circle Flat make for good stallers with far higher LAD than they really should. Elevator 230 is one of Standard's strongest defensive tracks. Free 230 is incredibly powerful when paired with Circle Flat/Gear Circle Flat, but Hasbro's version isn't as strong as TT's and this part in particular tends to cost a lot from either brand.

I don't think Bull or Aquario are that bad price-wise, but if it's the pre-HWS versions than maybe? I dunno, most people don't specify the clear wheels as "HWS" like that, so it feels like you meant pre-HWS instead and that totally changes the meaning.
