Limited Ban List Proposal v1.6 - Abellia - Jun. 19, 2022
Thoughts on this as a ban list? Getting HasScythe on there properly and getting DK unbanned, as there are similarly diverse Gravity combos.

Limited Ban List Proposal v1.6 Wrote:CHANGE LIST
Newly Banned
Newly Unbanned
- CRYSTAL/ELEMENT WHEEL: Dark Knight/Ronin
WHEELS- All Synchroms
Synchroms (that is, Zero-G wheel combinations involving two chrome wheels) are simply too heavy for this format. We are looking to use wheels close to or under about 40g, and the 60+g Synchroms would be far too oppressive in this metagame. Note that non-Synchrom Zero-G wheel combinations (that is, one chrome wheel and one crystal wheel) ARE allowed! -=-=-
- All 4D/Hyperblade Metal Wheels EXCEPT Jade
While not as bad as Synchroms, most 4D wheels are far heavier than this format's ideal weight, and as such these metal wheels are banned. Note that this only includes the metal wheels from Takara Tomy/Sonokong's "4D" series and Hasbro's "Hyperblade" series; Hasbro's "Metal Fury" metal wheels ARE legal, as they weigh substatially less. Also note that other parts of 4D beyblades, such as their tracks, tips, clear wheels, etc. ARE legal; only the metal wheels are banned!
NOTE: As of v1.2, Jade is now legal for Limited play! Test results showed that it would not be too powerful in the Limited metagame despite its relatively high weight, and thus is has been unbanned! -=-=-
- Basalt
Compared to the rest of our meta, Basalt is extremely heavy. When it was first released it dominated the metagame, and some argue it should have been banned prior to the release of the 4D series (a series whose weight creep is likely mostly due to Basalt's presence, in fact). If it were legal in this format it would almost certainly dominate, and as such it is banned. -=-=-
- Hell
This might seem like an odd choice, but Hell is very heavy compared to the rest of the Limited meta and is better at just about everything than other Limited wheels. As such, at risk of it becoming a dominant wheel, it finds a spot on the ban list. -=-=-
- Libra
Libra has, and always will be a threat to the metagame due to it's ability to perform well not only as one of the–if not the–best Defense Wheels, but as a Stamina Wheel with a slight offensive upside. As a legal part up until v1.4 of the Limited Format banlist, it has proven itself through competition to be too strong to allow it's continued use. While it was legal, it appeared in close to 20% of all Winning Combinations. It's versatility is why it has been placed on the banlist. -=-=-
- Scythe [Metal Fury]
Similarly to Libra, the Metal Fury Scythe wheel poses a constant threat to the rest of the metagame thanks to its prowess in not just Defense and Stamina, but as an attacker, as well. Tests by @th!nk proved that the wheel could not be allowed to remain in limited. It's overpowering prowess in all three categories is why it has been placed on the banlist.
CRYSTAL/ELEMENT WHEELS- None
Why was Dark Knight unbanned?
Since the previous v1.5 ban list update was announced where both Metal Fury Scythe and Dark Knight were banned and Gravity was unbanned, Gravity has seen prominent use in several different types of customs, making Dark Knight's similar versatility a much diminished threat. As well, the removal of the last two wheels which helped to keep 230 height combos at bay made those combos far too safe of a pick in first stage. Additionally, Dark Knight's versatility is simply not as huge of a threat as it once was, with far fewer targets for it to equalize against and outspin as Bakushin has risen to prominence. As a result of these two matchup interactions, it is now one of the specialized attack types that it once threatened, making it eligible for an unban.
TRACKS- BD145
Ever since BD145's release, tracks with huge plastic disks tended to dominate the metagame. They are not only extremely heavy; they also provide nigh-impenetrable defense against low attackers, and generally shut out any attacker using a wheel that falls within the ideal Limited weight range. Because they would make defense far too dominate in the Limited meta, all of the tracks based on large plastic disks are banned, which obviously includes BD145. -=-=-
- SA165
This is banned simply because it is based on a large plastic disk, which makes it both too heavy and too powerful for the Limited meta. See BD145's explanation for detailed reasons why this is banned. -=-=-
- E230
This is banned simply because it is based on a large plastic disk, which makes it both too heavy and too powerful for the Limited meta. See BD145's explanation for detailed reasons why this is banned. -=-=-
- SP230
This is banned simply because it is based on a large plastic disk, which makes it both too heavy and too powerful for the Limited meta. See BD145's explanation for detailed reasons why this is banned. -=-=-
BOTTOMS- RDF
This bottom has the same ability to stonewall Limited attackers as RS and RB, and it comes with the added bonus of hosing opposite-spin as well. As such, it is far too powerful, and is thus banned from Limited play. -=-=-

I would like this change
RE: Limited Ban List Proposal v1.6 - th!nk - Jun. 20, 2022
DK is IMO fine to unban. It really doesn't present any major issues or significantly outshine Bandid Wyvang or Lightning L Drago. It's good, but far from an overwhelming force.
RE: Limited Ban List Proposal v1.6 - Shoyo - Jun. 20, 2022
I'm looking forward for Dark Knight's performance this year.
