I used to break the faces all the time by screwing them in too much, and broke a CH120 recently too =( I don't really get many breaks though.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 09, 2010

Wow.
Finger tighten + a half turn from the tool is all it takes.

Which part cracked?

I have a good solution to repairing the handles for beylaunchers, its not very expensive but you should probably be in a very well ventilated room for this and have some toothpicks handy. if its a cleaner break that helps too. What you do is you use some epoxy resin. The hold after is pretty strong and you can find it easy in any wal-mart or hardware store. I wouldn't suggest using this to fix beys at all as its probably illegal but I don't think it will be a problem for fixing a shooter and returning it to its original state. For any excess epoxy (shouldn't be an issue if you do it right with the right amount) all you need to do is sand it with a sheet of 600 or 800 grit. I do this to repair some of my other plastic stuff all the time and its less risky than super glue because it is less messy in the long run and keeps a stronger hold.

On another note if its a problem with the launcher prongs don't attempt this, from the way those break it seems more like they tear and there is no way to repair them and make them fit right other than just all out replacing the prongs. I've seen this quite a bit with plastic gen launchers of younger cousins.

Right in the middle of the handle I post some pics

My L beylauncher handle broke. (Yes the L beylauncher handle broke.)
Is it still legal if there's even no handle? Confused

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 12, 2010

Yes.

My second RF tip broke. This is the second time it has happened, and I don't know what is causing it. Very small shavings of the rubber are broken off of the edge, and I have no idea why this keeps happening. I only launch into stadiums, and don't shoot from redicuous heights...

From what I understand, this is normal. If you just keep playing with it, the hollow parts should become even eventually as the rubber wears down more.

RE: Whine about your breaks - gokkar - Aug. 12, 2010

Well that's a relief. Thanks so much. Now I just have to come up with a solution for the loose Wheel on my Rock Bull, and figure out why my Pegasus keeps getting destroyed by stamina types.

RE: Whine about your breaks - TheLVJ - Aug. 12, 2010

Contact with opposing clear wheels also tends to shred rather than dent RF.

Are you using Pegasus Thunder Whip? That would be why.

RE: Whine about your breaks - gokkar - Aug. 12, 2010

Yeah. It is no longer completely circular. Will it be alright in the end though?

And no, I am using Super Vortex.

It should be. If you really hesitate, you could post a picture for us to see the exact state of your RF.

Also, Daegor42 meant "Hasbro Beystadium in general", hah. All of them are just very bad. Go for TAKARA-TOMY instead.

RE: Whine about your breaks - gokkar - Aug. 12, 2010

I will post a pic. It is actually barely noticable, but I think I own the title of most obsessive/paranoid member on the site.

And about the stadiums, I'm just too cheap and lazy to order oneTongue_out

EDIT: Its too small of a dent to even capture. I guess that's my answer

RE: Whine about your breaks - geminiguy2000 - Aug. 13, 2010

no breaks, but i did leave a NASTY dent in the back of our file cabinet after ripping gasher a LOT too hard.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 13, 2010

lol, Please show me any damage dark did.

Aside from blunt impact, assuming you launched it sraight into the cabinet.

And there's no such thing as "Too hard" a launch, only too forward/uncontrolled.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Cpt. Squirrel - Aug. 14, 2010

My BeylauncherL's string unravelled only to reveal a smaller string/cord within. It's now a pain to use because it won't automatically retract and it takes a few minutes to slide the string back. I can't use my favourite custom now Unhappy

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 14, 2010

Put a bey on the prongs and turn it, might help it retract faster.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Cpt. Squirrel - Aug. 14, 2010

I can't. Where the string first started to unravel, the cord is all frayed and so I need to get a pen or something sharp to make it small enough to fit into the hole.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 14, 2010

Ahhh.
Try mixing glue and water, like you'd do for paper mache, and rub it along the string where its frayed, keeping the frays taught and along the string.

Could help, could suck.

RE: Whine about your breaks - TheLVJ - Aug. 15, 2010

There's no fixing that launcher. It should be considered illegal to use.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Mc Frown - Aug. 15, 2010

For personal use.

RE: Whine about your breaks - TheLVJ - Aug. 15, 2010

Same thing happened to one of mine; it didn't last long after...
