Im doing something wrong.. i just know it.

Make sure that you're pulling the ripcord straight when you launch. Some people tend to pull at an angle.

And you should also straighten your ripcord.

you have to let them boil in warm water for about 5 minutes before use

But the thing is that there already straight!
i have no clue what else there could be.
i guess there not straight enough.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Hiro Ayami - Nov. 19, 2009

If you're not pulling them straight out, as in pulling them with out with a bit of an angle it could be a reason. I've never had an issue with Winders breaking for MFB though so I can't really say.

Is it possible for you to show either a video or pictures of the breaks?

I dont think that would be very good.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Corey - Nov. 19, 2009

You probably pull out at an angle, thus adding unnecessary friction and stress on the winder.

The thing is my brother was the one to break the last one. so I couldn't have pulled it out at an angel.

there i fixed it now Chocked_2
well i guess i shouldn't be bothered to much about just one winder being broke.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Hiro Ayami - Nov. 20, 2009

Regardless, be it your or your brother, we're saying that pulling it at an awkward angle may have been the cause. There's little point for any of us, except for you, to care who was using it, just that it broke.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Sylph - Nov. 20, 2009

just broke a ripcord as i tried keeping it straight and jacking it back as fast i can.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Corey - Nov. 20, 2009

Maybe it's because you let them boil for five mintues >.<

RE: Whine about your breaks - Hagane Ginga - Nov. 20, 2009

Aww accidently pulled back the holder on one of my dragon winders and it snapped off.
So ticked, was my favorite one...
another 40 or so to break Eee

RE: Whine about your breaks - firelord767 - Nov. 22, 2009

Man, 40 Spares? Lucky....

Sorry. I know how Dragon Winders are upsetting to loose.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Raykon - Nov. 22, 2009

The only breaking I've had in ages is my Dracel V attack ring...broke last night...not much of a big loss tho.

RE: Whine about your breaks - Sylph - Nov. 23, 2009

Because you aren't supposed to boil them...

RE: Whine about your breaks - Guardian Odin - Nov. 23, 2009

I pour boiling water over my winders, but I do not keep them on the boil. I let them cool while inserted into metal tubes in a thermos. That straightens them like nothing else... I don't know. I'd imagine a five minute boil would weaken the plastic.

How do you guys not understand the difference between hot water and BOILING WATER

I have no idea.

I think it was a rhetorical question.
