Performance Tip - Almight - p0l1w4g06 - Dec. 22, 2021

Almight (オールマイト, Ōrumaito) is a Performance Tip released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-191 Overdrive Special Starter Set on October 2nd, 2021.
==Description==
Almight is a Performance Tip with a built in disc, like Hybrid, Ignition', Generate and Shot before it. It features a wide base and a shaft-esque structured tip that resembles Kick's plate and Xceed/Zone. Its built in forge disc resembles its predecessor Nexus, albeit with smaller wings, that still don't help with down/upward force. Like Nexus and Venture before it, it can use the S and V Gears.

Furthermore, Almight has multiple gimmicks:
Firstly, the disc esque section can be flipped, akin to MFB's BD145, having a mode where that the disc has a raised platform and can only use High Mode on Layers, and one where it can use Low Mode, though unlike BD145 the mode change doesn't have a profound impact on performance.

Secondly, the disc section has a bound gimmick, akin to Sting, mean to parry attacks, though the rarity of Layer-Disc contact makes it rare and rather useless.

Lastly, and most importantly, depending on how hard Almight is launched, the shaft tip will change: when launched hard, the shaft becomes fixed, akin to the X chip, with a hole-flat design, like Zephyr; while when launched more softly the tip retains its free-spin and becomes a Flat/semi-Flat.

In theory the launching gimmick would make Almight a versatile part, but in truth the Fixed mode makes Almight faster and more aggressive at the cost of control, while the Free-Spin mode is more docile and is better for stamina. Of the 2 modes, the latter is prefered, especially considering the extreme spin speeds needed for the former to activate. Furthermore, much like Sword and Evolution, Almight is too tall for attack combinations due to lowered Blade-to-Blade contact.

Adding the V Gear causes Almight to become smooth, akin to the Original Series' Spiral Change Base, but the best it can do is cause a tie, and is basically an inferior version of Drift, with poorer same-spin matchups and being too risky.
==Overall==
Almight's assortment of gimmicks, while interesting, have only 1 standout one, being a weak launch Free-spin mode. However, it is outclassed by Drift due to being less reliable than it for spin-equalisation.
As such, Almight is for collection purposes only.
