I have heard that Drift is apparently much better that Bearing, is it true though? I don't want to buy Bearing if it's useless.

Drift beats bearing in opposite spin and for same spin bearing in outclassed by extend+ and zone+Z’

The two parts do different things. On a setup that won't burst easily, Bearings same spin stamina is usually better than Drifts. Drift has the best opposite spin of any driver and is pretty hard to KO when not hard launched.
Before DB, Xtend+ with Wheel did pretty much everything any given Bearing combo could do but better. We have Tappered and Giga now tho, the new disks don't work too well with Xtend+.
Something like Vanish Fafnir Tappered Bearing -6 would be very viable rn. It has slightly better same spin stamina and slightly worse opposite spin stamina than it would have with Zone'+Z.
