RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - staah - Mar. 27, 2022 I'm sorry to bring this up but this is bothering me. Valt losing to bell in the manga with ultimate Valkyrie defeats the purpose of valts character.. Like ultimate Valkyrie is supposed to be the ultimate bey that has all the Valkyrie combined. its supposed to show how far valt has came from being a noob to being a good blader. Making him lose just tells all that work and all the Valkyries combined didn't pay off. like i know this is bells story and valt isn't the main but still valt has been the mascot and has appeared the most. In the anime they actually handled valt and ultimate well because they actually made him have a goal of beating Rashad and actually going through with it showing how far hes come. IT JUST feels like morita just had valt have ultimate just for advertisement. And this happened in the epilogue. the epilogue i not in bells story arc its for the whole series so you cant make the excuse that this is bells story. And the whole "next generation' thing doesn't apply because valt is still blading and is not that old. If morita was going to do this just make valt have savior and not a bey like ultimate which is supposed to be the ultimate valkrie bey. Like why did he even make ultimate in the first place it savior didn't break. I don't like the manga ending like yeah its cool the ogs came back but valt made ultimate just to lose. But I'm sure hiro morita didn't want to do this and wanted to to something like the anime. This could have been handled better but hiro morita didn't expect to have made an epilogue. But at least both the endings for the manga and the anime display the same ending theme which is that the characters still continue to play beyblade even after the manga and anime. What is wrong with everyone obsessed with Valt? Like seriously. It is ULTIMATE VALKYRIE, not ULTIMATE BEY. It defeats no purpose to Valt’s character. He’s been here 6 years, is a champion, and battled almost every strong Blader out there. Valt isn’t the protagonist, Bell is. The W goes to Bell. That’s how Burst has been going for the last 4 years. For me I think most fans dont even understand the manga ending or the message it says abd most are are to obsessed with. Valt losing to the new generation pass on the torch Valt is 16 he want be beyblading forever while Bell is 10/11although next gen doesnt always apply to age it also means new people that can carry the torch an general theirs also the fact that one may just retired from the big events to just normal stuff it depends, Bell winning is the symbol of how beyblade will still lives on via someone else the future and no matter what it will pass on to other gen as long as we as bladers continue having fun it will never die but go on even if we are not around its a deep mesage thats the. Mesage to us who love beyblade with passion . Hiro wrote the ending he wanted to show to bladers around the World no one force him to do I dont know Where that came from that its not the ending he wanted. Its over both ending are good just choose to one you like its that simple RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Zeutron - Mar. 28, 2022 The idea that Valt must win every major battle and always remain at the top is ridiculous. That's true as well, Valt has embodied almost every beyblade archetype and accomplished most beyblade milestones by now. There is only so much he can get crammed into. In my opinion, Valt wasn't a compelling character because he was the best or because he had all the wisdom ever, but rather because he didn't. Valt wasn't the strongest nor was he the smartest. He did lose and he did have trouble getting better, but what he did have was the drive and heart of a champion. He loved beyblade and cherished it. That is what always made him a great character to me. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Needforspeed - Mar. 28, 2022 (Mar. 27, 2022 11:48 PM)staah Wrote:How is it ruining valt purpose? Valt losing to bell showcases how even if you loses a battle it could still be fun which is literally valt whole ideology fun over the W. the anime tackels this in the most weird way they regress valt as a character just to "evolve" valkyrie and beat rashad i don't see how thats better. This is also bell's story not valt making valt win wouldn't make any sense. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - BurningSands - Mar. 28, 2022 I personally find it ridiculous that Valt has been around for so many real-life years and yet, some of the viewers still fail to see Valt’s purpose. As many people noted above already, Valt’s character revolves around him having fun with Blading. His character arc throughout the series revolved around having fun and being spirited throughout the sport And really, a couple of the points made by staah seems to be taken too literally. Ultimate Valkyrie is literally just the name (and is no indicator of strength in this case), and the term “next generation” doesnt mean just “character grows old and we’ll see their descendants, blah blah.” Valt really is just passing the torch to another character, and age doesnt play its part here RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Admiral W - Mar. 28, 2022 Valt has always valued having fun while blading over the win. That's absolutely true, but we also can't forget that it was always Valt's dream and desire to be the best in world. From the very first episode. That's not immaterial. Winning was important to Valt as well. For many reasons I far prefer how the anime handled Valt's send off. The anime closed the book on Burst with Valt as the World Champion and Number 1 Blader in the World which I think is a great way to honor his legacy, especially with Ultimate Valtryek in hand which is literally a culmination of his journey through the Burst saga. I share some of the frustration with how the manga handled his send off. Given that it was an epilogue rounding off the whole Burst saga there didn't even need to be a battle between Valt and Bell. Ultimately (no pun intended) it's irrelevant because how the story was told is how to the story was told. All in all I far prefer how the anime sent Valt off. They gave him a great send off battle with his match against Rashad where he helped his former student regain his joy of blading while at the same time getting a great victory to go out on, honoring all he did to reach the top of the Blading World. Just as Tyson and Gingka, the respective faces of their gens, ended with them at the top of the blading world, I'm glad the anime gave Valt that as well. Given that Rise is a criminally underrated season as far as I'm concerned, I decided to do a Character Arc Breakdown on a character from that season. Arman is unfortunately a character that doesn't get much love and is rarely spoken about which is a shame for a character as well characterized as he is. Arman is a character that comes up against a roadblock not because of evil power or supernatural forces but for a very human reason; lack of confidence in, and a lack of understanding of his own qualities. Sometimes we can underestimate what we can bring to something, what we can offer. This was something Arman struggled with as he watched Dante and Delta. It was only after he recognized the good qualities he possessed that he was able to truly connect with Ashindra. ![]() He came to truly know and have confidence in the things that made him who he was. Only once he came to really know and embrace the good things about himself and really integrate that, was he able to move forward, not by being stuck comparing himself to others such as Dante and Delta, but by fully using the unique blend of his qualities of perseverance, tenacity and sticking it out, and when you really think about it, it's made even more fullsome in the defense type, his type of choice. ![]() Arman's arc is a good reminder not to underestimate what we can bring to something. To truly know one's self, to recognize the good qualities we possess, is the key that can unlock a great many opportunities and new levels of understanding. ![]() Arman is an underrated character from an underrated season, and both the character and the season are good examples of great work from Burst. Just as Tyson and Gingka, the respective faces of their gens, ended with them at the top of the blading world, I'm glad the anime gave Valt that as well.I dont have a hat on either side as I agree with both sides. Like others have said Valt embodies the enjoyment and love for beyblade and his character is about having fun and enjoying blading with others and its ok that Valt losses here and there as in the final chapter of the manga it just shows him enjoying blading with his friends so winning isnt everything for him as he knows you just have to keep trying and have fun. But at the same time like you said, Valt's dream since the first episode and chapter was to become the worlds Best blader. The anime and manga even show this. As In every season after 2 Valt is always stated/shown as the worlds top blader because that's his goal. That's why i liked the anime send off bit more as it ends off with Valt helping his student regain his joy for blading and keeps Valt as the Number 1 blader in the world and world champion. Just like tyson and Gingka in their respective generations. I also like how the manga ended as well as it represents the rise of a new Generation and respects the older Generations. With Bell representing the rise of the new Generation as "the new generations champion" (The new world champion) and as the New MC. While Valt represents the legacy of the original generation as "The legend of Legends"- The worlds Number 1 blader, The Strongest blader in the World and as the original MC of Burst. The Manga also ends with Valt giving the final message as Valt represents the love and fun for blading AND the legacy of burst as "the Legend of Legends"- the Worlds Number 1 blader, the true world champion, the Strongest blader in the world and as the Character/legend who started who it all. Just as Gingka and Tyson in their generations. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - God Dragruler - Mar. 29, 2022 I'll say this about amane he should've gotten that evo instead of Gwynn who didn’t need it the armor was what6he needed not the bey. Both phi and Gwynn are the 2 antigonist that didn’t need an evo at all both just needed their armor thats it. Their evo could've and should've been for others RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Achilles25 - Mar. 29, 2022 Someone make a Phi breakdown RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Admiral W - Mar. 29, 2022 There's nothing to Phi to do a character arc breakdown for him. Was it because Hearts choose before him or because he took Hades? It seemed as though they didn't even know the names of the beys It’s because Phi wanted Hades to begin with but Hearts took it first then Phi went ahead and took Phoenix for himself. Then in episode 41 Phi told Hearts he would “take everything back” and he literally did as he destroyed Hades and took a shard from it and fused it to create Dead Phoenix. So in a nutshell Phi got salty because Hearts got first pick.
