first off this has nothing to with what I think. don't assume that is my position (read: it isnt)
i don't have any issues with iran's president (not even going to attempt to spell that). he really has no military power, and has more bark than bite. i feel he is poorly represented in the west
that being said, iran is not in a position to be demanding anything. whether it's fair or not, america is a super power and usually has the ability to bully other countries along. that, along with the fear's newfound fear of "terrorism" is what puts iran in an unfair situation. like it or not, nuclear deterrence is a power not many countries want iran to have
if the UN and iran can get something done, great. i don't see it happening

Of course we have. That event has been scarred into pretty much every American's mind since the day it happened.
I'm not really sure how I feel about it or the motivations behind it, but I do know that it was a disgusting act of terrorism and it was sad to see so many lives lost over something so trivial.

Mangini was ok. Weis is arrogant as carp. Crennel was ok. I just want an offensive guy, Weis did decently with Quinn, although he carp up with Clausen (but then again wtf Clausen didn't look like he had it to begin with). I just want Culter to get more Elway and less Farve in him. =////

and no, you don't want him to be like elway. say what you want about favre and his overratedness (which is true), elway is FAAAAAAAAAAR more overrated. he was terrible for most of his career, and only won his first SB because of TD and the ZBS (something we never practiced against). that second SB was against atlanta, lulz

this all boils down to religion. despite us being founded by deists, we have christian roots (especially in the past 100 years). the whole "promised land" to the jews because of the bible is the stupidest carp i have ever heard. the zionism movement was a joke and an excuse to give the jews some land after the holocaust
i think whoever was there first should have the land. that was the area defined as palestine. if israel--and israel alone--wanted to fight palestine i wouldn't really care. but to have the support israel is frustrating

Well uh, there are a lot of reasons why the American government supports Israel. I want to make it clear that this isn't my position.
1. There is a very strong Israel lobby in American politics.
2. This Christian nation sympathizes with Jews more. American churches have turned increasingly pro-Zionistic. This is because of Christian ideology and Christian beliefs as well as guilt over past anti-Semitic practices. Fundamental Christians that make up the right seem to be the biggest supports of Israel.
3. Ironically, a lot of money and political contributions come from Jewish-supported companies and organizations to American politicains.
4. Israel has the strongest army in the middle east. If Iran were to take that position and go nuclear, it would undermine decades of American foreign policy.
5. Israel was more of an ally than the Arab nations in the cold war.
6. Racism
