A quick question: the prongs on Zero-G launchers look the exact same as the old MFB ones, judging by the pictures. Does this mean Zero-G beys can be launched with MFB launchers and vice versa? Yes, and all part except the face and metal wheel are interchangeable as well. Consider it an extension to the series, rather than a separate entity (Aug. 02, 2014 1:24 AM)Thumbnail Wrote:(Aug. 02, 2014 1:23 AM)The Mystery Man Wrote: I've been absent for the scene for years. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - MissingNo. - Aug. 02, 2014 Is the long winder from plastic generation is legal if used with a MFB light launcher ? Regular short winder = 45 teeths Long winder (with a dragon head) = 68 teeths I tested it and the power with the long winder is very similar to the Beylauncher. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Jinbee - Aug. 02, 2014 I seriously wonder how people can critisize Battle Strikers for being like beyblade but praise Top Plate for being a filler to Beyblade, since they look more like the HWS, I know that Top Plate and Beyblade(Sono Kong) were made by Sono Kong but isn't that a little "unoriginal" considering it's by the same company, it's like Call Of Duty where it's all copy and paste from Activision(Well it might not be but you get the idea), if anyone could answer or correct me that would be great. I'm not favouring Battle Strikers(Though I actually like them a lot) over Top Plate but I need to know why it's like this. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - 6 God - Aug. 02, 2014 I haven't seen anyone praising them, but I'm sure it's a relief to see something resembling Beyblade going on in Asia. Well, the reason Top Plate is being more praised/appreciated/noticed because for one thing, it's made by an official distributor of Beyblade- it'd be like Hasbro making their own Beyblade (tops) system, in a sense. It's a filler/series that's made by a licensed distributor of Beyblades, so it doesn't come off as much as a knockoff as something like Dracco Spin or Battle Strikers would, since they're completely different and unrelated companies. Like Echizen also said, something resembling Beyblade in Asia with tournaments and prizes, etc., means that Beyblade may have still been fairly popular up until the plug was pulled. Thanks, but here's the thing, why are people viewing Battle Strikers as Beyblades? I know I did the same with Top Plate but as you said it's a filler, so if Battle Strikers is unrelated to Beyblade then people shouldn't view them as Beyblade and as it's own "original" idea, after all it's main gimmick was control, it would be like if a show was compared to another for having a similar trait, it should just count as a single series as a whole as long as it's good with quality, and to me Battle Strikers can do that. As for Swirl Fighters, they have little original ideas but are also unrelated to Beyblade, just similar, just because it's a top with beast motifs etc shouldn't automatically be justified as Beyblade Rip Offs. I never mentioned Swirl Fighter. ![]() As for Dracco Spin, it's obviously a Beyblade copy when the parts/designs are similar and they even use a Plastics launcher. Swirl Fighters did seem to use an HMS launcher, though. People most likely said they we're copies of Beyblade because at the time the only (widely) known battling top game was Beyblade, which everyone had/has nostalgia for. They referred to it as a copy because it was a different companies take on a battling-top game. It's an illogical reason, but kind of the same reason that X card game copied Y cardgame, even if they're completely unrelated (like Yugioh or Pokemon). Oh sorry I didn't mean to structure the sentence to make it like you mentioned Swirl Fighters and out of all those "rip offs" I'd say Battle Striker is the most original since it's battery powered launchers(also winder ones), magnetic controller, new layout, and different way to put a top on launcher, not to say it's 100% original but it does try and that's also why I prefer these over Top Plate, they are also more available. Just to add in really quick, nothing can ever really be "original", because comparisons will always be drawn to what came before. For example, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic, although two totally different and separate card games, I have seen compared. And for me personally, for those of you who know Temporal, I can imagine many would draw similarities between my TCG and Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic. It's simply because one came out before the other, really. Battle Strikers is a radically different thing from Beyblade, but because they're both spinning tops and Beyblade came first, Battle Strikers are seen as "copies." I thought this way at once... RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - LeonTempest - Aug. 03, 2014 Ive been offline for a LONG time 0_o According to my history, over a year it seems. I am currently in Japan, scouring the toy stores for various things. One thing I have noticed is that there is no Beyblade to be found anywhere (there is an absurd amount of Super Sonico though 0_o) I have been out of touch with the game for a long time. But before I continue to search for Japanese Beyblades, I have to know what happened to it? Is beyblade "over" for lack of a better word??? That's why I quoted "original", whilst nothing can ever be too original, what I think is that if their features are distinguished enough and not too recognised then I would say it's a bit original, but people should not refer to them as copies just for one reason, when people view a spinning top game as "Beyblade Only" like someone could say a video game is the same as the other just because it's a shooter or whatnot. I think Beyblade has just saturated any spinning top market extremely badly that anything met with certain similarities are rejected. EDIT: Also unless Beyblade is related to Beigomas, in your logic Beyblade would be a rip off to Beigoma right? Correct me if I'm wrong. I dont even look at many of the non pinned posts in the general section anymore since so many of them are newcommer posts that get moved. The break is probably/partially Transformers related.....it is the 30th year. It has disrupted a lot of their other series as well. Nope, despite Shogun Steel, it's still just zinc-alloy, haha. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Kai-V - Aug. 04, 2014 There are different plastics used depending on what you are referring to. Usually, plastic parts in Metal Fight Beyblade are made of polycarbonate. However, accessories and stadiums are made of other types of plastic.
