I mean, in sparking Aiga lost the battle royale on his blader introduction episode right after he beat Hikaru and Wakiya eventually lost to the twins after they used twin strike on him so a introductory battle and episode should not be counted as the same thing since many characters actually lose during their introductory episodes. The z4 beating Aiga during their introductions is more justified than Lui tieing with Valt simply because they weren’t put in impossible situations. Whether or not Lui could tie with Valt, he definitely shouldn’t have seeing as that set a whole different standard that creates a plot hole. They didn’t pit Lui against Valt because they actually found them to be capable of tieing, they did it because they knew neither could lose. What in effectively trying to say is that particular battle shouldn’t count as evidence in Kui’s favour since it’s a gimmick battle for advertising the beys hence, Aiga defeating Lui even though Valt only managed to tie with him. The z4 on the other hand, or more so Laban has to fight both Suoh and Aiga in a non gimmicky battle and he beat them both on his own. This is done as a show of his power which is why he was pitted in such a way. As for Lui being said to be strong, I don’t think you understand what I was trying to say. First of all, Lui being a consistently powerful character is, in fact an anime trope seeing as his characteristics respond directly to that trope. Second, I was trying to say that “Lui always training to get stronger and getting scaled to Free” is not evidence he is better than the z4, more like opinion or your own statement. If we don’t see it in the animation, then there’s nothing to back up that claim. I was using Phi and Hyde as an example to disprove that point as well. Yes they were said to be strong in casual statements by background characters, but they didn’t need to be portrayed as strong in past season or scaled to characters to be better than Lui, I’m basically trying to tell you why Lui usually being a strong blader isn’t evidence that he’s better than the z4. Aiga being a natural doesn’t change the fact that Hiro introducing Lui first just to lose and never appear again wouldn’t make sense if he really was better than the z4. Even after the introduction battles, the z4 were still beating people and remained tough but Aiga should have had an easy time if Lui was really all that strong compared to them. Also, you said that I was basing his performance only off of his introduction battle but I wasn’t. I mentioned many times that he also best newbie level Aiga and the newbie level trio and I even provided evidence as to why Laban was better (when he beat Xhan and Fubuki). Heck, even Xhan beat Aiga in the episode right after his introduction episode. Aiga didn’t even bother training with Lui when trying to master Achilles, but he gladly visited Xhan, Laban and Kitt, and before you mention Free and Valt, they were doing their own thing. Even when Aiga became the Asian champion, he still lost the the z4 members because they were inherently stronger than most people evident by their rising status. The reason why I brought up Lui’s introduction battle was to prove that his tie with Valt isn’t evidence that he is better than the z4
