My fav Sonic game is by far Sonic Unleasshed because it not only had really fun gameplay and was oen of the fastest paced Sonic games ever made, but it had a really captivating and emotional story as well. Besides I'm one of the few who DIDN'T hate the Werehog levels.

The Werehog levels aren't bad, the only main problems for me is that they're too long and the music of Sonic beating up enemies keeps playing. I think the speed stages are pretty fun since they're really fast and challenging. I think it was the game for me to get Sonic out of the dark ages, if not Sonic Colors.
I still think Sonic Generations is my favourite 3D sonic game but Colors and Unleashed are great too.

That's why I'm not counting Sonic Genesis GBA, as bad as it was, it's still just a port. I haven't played Sonic Riders but it looks meh, and Sonic Chronicles looks carp TBH.

It's not running on an emulator, and it's not a port. It's rebuilt on the Advance engine.

It's still technically Sonic 1, unlike the Sonic games from the Master System, this actually reassembles Sonic 1, it just has serious flaws.

I know, but it's just in case you actually compare the Master System to Sonic Genesis for being different to their counterpart because Sonic Master System games are completely different.

Sonic Genesis is a poor mans port, a port so bad it's remembered for being a terrible examples.
Also, it had to be recreated mainly because the Spindash wasn't in the original game.

favourite sonic game has to Sonic and knuckles 3 (lock-in) that game was sooo huge and provided the foundation for soo many latter games

The real pain is that Genesis and 06 butchered the original in name as well as gameplay.

Eh, not really... Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was definitely a clunky game but at least it had really amazing soundtracks and decent graphics for an early Xbox 360 game released in 2006 (obviously released in 2006).
I still think Sonic Chronicles is my personal least favourite because of the terrible battle system, controls, a rather boring story (although not the worst story), bad game graphics for a DS game and god awful music. The sad thing is, it was made by an amazing game developing company (BioWare).

Meh, Sonic and the Secret Rings is still my least favourite Sonic game, at least Sonic 2006 to me had better music, better visuals for it's console and time and the control was better.

Sonic blast is pretty bad because the coloring is terrible not to mention the level of sprite work is actually of that of disgusting a failed attempt at being like Sonic 3D blast without the Blast processing to back it up making it a miserable piece of work and that music is like 8 bit ugliness gmmmmhhh! Ain't no phantasty star 1 , get outta here. Just everything bout it is pretty trash tier and honestly that's what it'll be.
