Wahahaha quite surprised with the results as well, since popular opinion was that gF stock parts are trash. Might run a couple of tests more before my week off is over
Edit: upon checking and further testing, 8Star is the best if using Absorb. I tried using 7 and Eternal and got better LAD (just align the 4point side to the Level Chip hole to balance)

RE: Geist Fafnir Testing Thread - Rouzuke - Mar. 31, 2019
Haven't had too much updates, what with a lot of stuff going on recently. Will edit in this post my results for geist fafnir 1'P Xt+ vs competitive combos in the meta by Monday morning probably.
Will also test for my personal combo for Geist which I'll reveal soon, since Absorb does prove to be quite a problematic Driver to handle. This is also to start looking for good combos in light of the upcoming release for GT Fafnir.
Please look forward to it!

I'll get to this after my work shift today. Hopefully gF 1'P Xt+ will have some nice movements. I'd assume you'd want to see the effects for all 3 modes, or just Stamina?

Will do that later after my work shift. Interesting combo choice. Will try doing gF test both on Et and At, vs bL on Jl and Sw

Will get into this after my work shift. I don't think Hurricane on Absorb is going to be good (since I've used Absorb in hard and moderate launches with varying success of staying in the stadium), but let's see if it'll work. Against what combos of aH and hS specifically?

I do, but unfortunately I have no time to edit videos nor have the internet bandwidth to upload (Philippines internet sucks bad har har) videos. I do have an instagram account (kinghadoukenbeypla) where I try to go live for a few hours testing combos.

RE: Geist Fafnir Testing Thread - Rouzuke - Apr. 01, 2019
Ok, starting with the easiest combo gF.Hr.Ab
- Black standard Burst Stadium
-LR Bey Launcher (one launcher per spin direction)
gF always launched moderate slide shoot vs opposite spin; hard launch flat launch against same spin
1st Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs (LC)aH.7.Et
Round 1 (aH first): gF 0 aH 1 (Spin Finish)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 1 aH 1 (SF)
Round 3 (aH first): gF 1 aH 2 (SF)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 1 aH 3 (SF); aH 1 click
Round 5 (aH first): gF 1 aH 4 (SF)
Round 6 (gF first): gF 1 aH 5 (SF)
Round 7 (aH first): gF 1 aH 5 (DRAW)
Round 7 redo: gF 1 aH 6 (SF); aH 1 click
Round 8 (gF first): gF 2 aH 6 (SF); aH 1 click
Round 9 (aH first): gF 2 aH 7 (SF)
Round 10 (gF first): gF 2 aH 7 (DRAW)
Round 10 redo: gF 2 aH 8 (SF)
Round 11 (aH first): gF 2 aH 9 (SF)
Round 12 (gF first): gF 2 aH 10 (SF)
Round 13 (aH first): gF 2 aH 11 (SF)
Round 14 (gF first): gF 2 aH 12 (SF)
Round 15 (aH first): gF 2 aH 13 (SF)
Round 16 (gF first): gF 2 aH 14 (SF)
Round 17 (aH first): gF 2 aH 15 (SF)
Round 18 (gF first): gF 2 aH 16 (SF); aH 1 click
Round 19 (aH first): gF 2 aH 17 (SF)
Round 20 (gF first): gF 2 aH 18 (SF)
Results:
gF: 10%
aH: 90%
Input: The shape of the Layer isn't suitable for pure LAD setup especially against opposite spin on a finnicky Driver like Absorb. Hurricane also impedes the LAD due to the free-spinning ring bringing more friction to the last few rotations. Even with a Level Chip, the Bey is actually very wobbly.
2nd Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs (LC)aH.Outer.Et
Round 1 (aH first): gF 0 aH 1 (SF); aH 1 click
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 aH 2 (SF)
Round 3 (aH first): gF 0 aH 3 (SF)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 0 aH 4 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 5 (aH first): gF 1 aH 4 (SF)
Round 6 (gF first): gF 1 aH 5 (SF)
Round 7 (aH first): gF 1 aH 6 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 1 aH 7 (SF)
Round 9 (aH first): gF 1 aH 8 (SF)
Round 10 (gF first): gF 1 aH 9 (SF)
Results:
gF: 10%
aH: 90%
Input: I only did 10 rounds for this since it looked too painful to watch gF struggle to spin steal and fail miserably. Same observations above, only worsened by putting gF against the best aH LAD beast combo.
3rd Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs (LC)aH.Outer.Xt+ (Stamina mode)
Round 1 (aH first): gF 0 aH 1 (OF)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 aH 2 (Over Finish); aH 2 clicks
Round 3 (aH first): gF 0 aH 3 (SF)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 0 aH 4 (SF)
Round 5 (aH first): gF 0 aH 5 (SF)
Round 6 (gF first): gF 0 aH 6 (SF)
Round 7 (aH first): gF 0 aH 7 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 0 aH 8 (SF)
Round 9 (aH first): gF 0 aH 9 (SF)
Round 10 (gF first): gF 0 aH 10 (SF)
Results:
gF: 0%
aH: 100%
Input: Same with using aH.Outer.Et, only did 10 rounds since it is impossible for gF to spin steal from a LAD beast of a combo.
4th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs (LC)hS(Stamina mode).10P.Xt+
Round 1 (hS first): gF 0 hS 1 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 hS 2 (SF)
Round 3 (hS first): gF 1 hS 2 (OF); hS 1 click
Round 4 (gF first): gF 1 hS 3 (SF)
Round 5 (hS first): gF 1 hS 4 (SF)
Round 6 (gF first): gF 1 hS 5 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 7 (hS first): gF 2 hS 5 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 2 hS 6 (SF)
Round 9 (hS first): gF 3 hS 6 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 10 (gF first): gF 3 hS 7 (SF); both 1 click
Round 11 (hS first): gF 3 hS 8 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 12 (gF first): gF 3 hS 9 (SF)
Round 13 (hS first): gF 3 hS 10 (SF)
Round 14 (gF first): gF 3 hS 11 (SF)
Round 15 (hS first): gF 3 hS 12 (SF); gF 1 click, hS 2 clicks
Round 16 (gF first): gF 3 hS 13 (SF)
Round 17 (hS first): gF 4 hS 13 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 18 (gF first): gF 4 hS 14 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 19 (hS first): gF 4 hS 15 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 20 (gF first): gF 4 hS 16 (SF)
Results:
gF: 20%
hS: 80%
Input: Same observation as above, though was kind of surprised that gF didn't have enough attack to Burst hS unlike my previous testings
5th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs (LC)hS(Stamina mode).0L(Up mode).Br
Round 1 (hS first): gF 0 hS 1 (SF)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 hS 2 (SF); both 1 click
Round 3 (hS first): gF 0 hS 3 (OF); gF 1 click
Round 4 (gF first): gF 0 hS 4 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 5 (hS first): gF 0 hS 5 (SF); gF 2 clicks
Round 6 (gF first): gF 0 hS 6 (SF)
Round 7 (hS first): gF 0 hS 7 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 0 hS 8 (SF)
Round 9 (hS first): gF 0 hS 9 (SF)
Round 10 (gF first): gF 0 hS 10 (SF)
Results:
gF: 0%
hS: 100%
Input: Did only 10 rounds. Another complete loss by gF, despite the anticipated handicap brought by Lift. Maybe hS is just too strong?
6th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs CZA.10G.Ds
Round 1 (CZA first): gF 0 CZA 0 (DRAW)
Round 1 redo gF 0 CZA 0 (DRAW)
Round 1 redo gF 0 CZA 1 (OF); gF 2 clicks
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 CZA 2 (SF); CZA 3 clicks

Round 19 (CZA first): gF 4 CZA 15 (SF)
Round 20 (gF first): gF 4 CZA 16 (OF); both one click
Results:
gF: 20%
CZA: 80%
Input: Not what I really expected of gF, but considering its performance in the other tests, I guess it was still a bad match for a combo that has LAD and Burst stopping mechanism.
7th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs CZA.10C.Ul
Round 1 (CZA first): gF 0 CZA 1 (OF); CZA 2 clicks, gF 1 click

Round 19 (CZA first): gF 4 CZA 15 (SF); CZA 2 clicks
Round 20 (gF first): gF 4 CZA 16 (SF)
Results:
gF: 20%
CZA: 80%
Input: A more aggressive opponent actually did make its performance worse. Unless gF gets into the center quickly, the Ultimate Reboot effect will dispatch it soon enough.
8th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs CZV.0C.Ev(Worn down)
Round 1 (CZV first): gF 1 CZV 0 (SF)

Results:
gF: 70%
CZV: 30%
Input: Finally something good shows up. It might just be because Evolution is a bit hard to control on awakened status, but this gF combo seems to handle Ev motions well enough, as long as they don't collide early game.
9th Testing: (LC)gF.Hr.Ab vs CZV.Z.Ul

Round 20 (gF first): gF 16 CZV 4 (SF)
Results:
gF: 80%
CZV: 20%
Input: Quite expected, but I used that CZV combo mainly against same spin matches. This gF combo has the obvious upper hand in terms of stamina and LAD.
Edit: added CZV matchups
Coming up next for testing is gF.1'P.Xt+! Stay tuned!
RE: Geist Fafnir Testing Thread - Rouzuke - Apr. 02, 2019
Same setup as before, here are some of the tests for gF.1'P.Xt+
1st Testing: (LC)gF.1'P.Xt+(Stamina mode) vs (LC)sA.0M.Pw
Round 1 (sA first): gF 1 sA 0 (Spin Finish)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 2 sA 0 (SF)
Round 3 (sA first): gF 3 sA 0 (SF)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 4 sA 0 (SF)
Round 5 (sA first): gF 5 sA 0 (SF)
Round 6 (gF first): gF 6 sA 0 (SF)
Round 7 (sA first): gF 7 sA 0 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 8 sA 0 (SF)
Round 9 (sA first): gF 9 sA 0 (SF)
Round 10 (gF first): gF 10 sA 0 (SF)
Results:
gF: 100%
sA: 0%
Input: Quite nice results, and didn't bother to do 20 rounds since this is a beatdown. Any Disk on a Proof and Xtend+ vs opposite spin might be a sure win. A lot of close calls there, but evidently Xt+ is superior. It might have been much harder to check if Destroy was used instead of Power.
2nd Testing: (LC)gF.1'P.Xt+(Stamina mode) vs (LC)hK.7C.At
Round 1 (hK first): gF 0 hK 0 (DRAW)
Round 1 redo: gF 0 hK 0 (DRAW)

Round 17 redo: gF 13 hK 4 (SF)
Round 18 (gF first): gF 13 hK 5 (SF); both 1 click
Round 19 (hK first): gF 14 hK 5 (SF)
Round 20 (gF first): gF 15 hK 5 (SF)
Results:
gF: 75%
hK: 25%
Input: Another great performance, it seems that gF may have more potential for basic spin stealing so far.
3rd Testing: (LC)gF.1'P.Xt+(Stamina mode) vs (LC)dH.0C.Ds'
Round 1 (dH first): gF 0 dH 1 (SF)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 1 dH 1 (SF)

Round 20 (gF first): gF 7 dH 14 (OF); both 1 click
Results:
gF: 33%
dH: 67%
Input: Unexpected Burst right there, but it was probably a fluke. gF aggressive design prevented it from achieving enough LAD to beat an almost circular dH on Ds'.
4th Testing: (LC)gF.1'P.Xt+(Stamina mode) vs (LC)pP.0P.At
Round 1 (pP first): gF 0 pP 1 (SF)

Round 20 (gF first): gF 3 pP 17 (SF); gF impeded by Dead Armor
Results:
gF: 15%
pP: 85%
Input: Seems that one of my heavier combos has the upper hand despite gF being on Xt+. I guess its main weakness is a high LAD Frame like Proof with Atomic. Another impediment was the Dead Armor, which is also a double-edged sword.
5th Testing: (LC)gF.1'P.Xt+(Stamina mode) vs (LC)pP.Outer.Et

Round 19 (pP first): gF 3 pP 17 (SF); pP 1 click
Round 20 (gF first): gF 3 pP 18 (SF); pP 1 click
Results:
gF: 14%
pP: 86%
Input: Another bad run for gF, I thought the wins for the first two rounds were going well, but I guess those were also flukes. Proof and Xtend+ really cannot compare to Outer and Eternal especially if pP flings around the Dead Armor.
RE: Geist Fafnir Testing Thread - Rouzuke - Apr. 03, 2019
Separate comment for another testing. Only able to do gF.00P.Et vs bL.10C.Jl for now since we have an emergency at home. Might get back to this as soon as we are ok. Same setups as above.
1st Testing: (LC)gF.00P.Et vs (LC)bL.10C.Jl
Round 1 (bL): gF 0 bL 2 (Burst Finish); bL 2 clicks
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 bL 4 (BF); bL 1 click
Round 3 (bL first): gF 1 bL 4 (SF); gF 2 clicks
Round 4 (gF first): gF 1 bL 5 (OF); bL 3 clicks, gF 2 clicks
Round 5 (bL first): gF 2 bL 5 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 6 (gF first): gF 2 bL 7 (BF); bL 1 click
Round 7 (bL first): gF 2 bL 9 (BF); bL 2 clicks
Round 8 (gF first): gF 3 bL 9 (SF); both 1 click
Round 9 (bL first): gF 4 bL 9 (SF); gF 2 clicks
Round 10 (gF first): gF 4 bL 10 (OF); bL 1 click, gF 3 clicks
Round 11 (bL first): gF 5 bL 10 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 12 (gF first): gF 6 bL 10 (SF); bL 2 clicks, gF 1 click
Round 13 (bL first): gF 7 bL 10 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 14 (gF first): gF 8 bL 10 (SF); both 2 clicks
Round 15 (bL first): gF 9 bL 10 (SF); both 1 click
Round 16 (gF first): gF 10 bL 10 (SF); both 1 click
Round 17 (bL first): gF 10 bL 12 (BF); bL 1 click
Round 18 (gF first): gF 10 bL 14 (BF); bL 2 clicks
Round 19 (bL first): gF 11 bL 14 (SF); both 1 click
Round 20 (gF first): gF 11 bL 15 (BF); bL 1 click
Results:
gF: 44%
bL: 56%
Input: It seems to be a nice fight, but it was kind of expected that unless gF is able to avoid direct hits early game, it will be over as soonas it started. Jolt is roughly the same height as Eternal hence bL upper attacks hit their mark against gF quite brutally. Mislaunching any attack Bey on a rubber tip is guaranteed a loss against almost any stationary Bey.
2nd Testing: (LC)gF.00P.Et vs (LC)bL.10C.Sw
Round 1 (bL): gF 0 bL 2 (Burst Finish)
Round 2 (gF first): gF 0 bL 4 (BF)
Round 3 (bL first): gF 1 bL 4 (SF); both 1 click
Round 4 (gF first): gF 2 bL 4 (SF); gF 2 clicks, bL 1 click
Round 5 (bL first): gF 3 bL 4 (SF); bL 1 click, gF 2 clicks

Round 8 (gF first): gF 5 bL 5 (SF); both 2 clicks
Round 9 (bL first): gF 6 bL 5 (SF); both 1 click
Round 10 (gF first): gF 7 bL 5 (SF)
Round 11 (bL first): gF 8 bL 5 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 12 (gF first): gF 8 bL 7 (BF)
Round 13 (bL first): gF 9 bL 7 (SF); gF 2 clicks, bL 1 click
Round 14 (gF first): gF 9 bL 8 (SF); both 1 click
Round 15 (bL first): gF 10 bL 8 (SF)
Round 16 (gF first): gF 11 bL 8 (SF)
Round 17 (bL first): gF 12 bL 8 (SF)
Round 18 (gF first): gF 12 bL 9 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 19 (bL first): gF 13 bL 9 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 20 (gF first): gF 13 bL 11 (BF); bL 2 clicks
Results:
gF: 54%
bL: 46%
Input: Quite surprising performance there by bL on Sw, but not impossible to win same spin matches. gF on a heavy stationary combo is somehow susceptible to Bursts especially from well-placed launches by bL. The metal tip of Sw helped a bit on providing more stamina, but the protrusions killed its LAD vs gF.
Edit: added the testing vs bL on Sw

I'll get to this after my work shift today. Hopefully gF 1'P Xt+ will have some nice movements. I'd assume you'd want to see the effects for all 3 modes, or just Stamina? Mostly just attack mode, to test spin steal on light launches. and make sure the 1’ metal is not lined up with the metal weights. The 1’ being unbalanced is supposed to counter Geist fafnir being triangle shaped and make it more balanced.

Hmm ok, will try that out soon. I'll assume you'd want gF with a Level Chip on that setup, with what light launches - tilted/flat?
And I didn't really understood the "metal weights" unless you're referring to the rivets underneath gF that holds the mechanism for spin steal and attack mode?

Updated testing batch
1st Testing: (LC)gF.00P.At vs (LC)bL.10C.Jl
Round 1 (bL): gF 1 bL 0 (SF); gF 2 clicks
Round 2 (gF first): gF 2 bL 0 (SF); both 1 click
Round 3 (bL first): gF 2 bL 1 (Over Finish)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 3 bL 1 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 5 (bL first): gF 4 bL 1 (SF); both 1 click
Round 6 (gF first): gF 5 bL 1 (SF); gF 2 clicks
Round 7 (bL first): gF 6 bL 1 (SF)
Round 8 (gF first): gF 7 bL 1 (SF); gF 3 clicks
Round 9 (bL first): gF 8 bL 1 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 10 (gF first): gF 9 bL 1 (SF); bL 1 click
Results:
gF: 90%
bL: 10%
Input: Didn't make it 20 rounds since it'll be a waste of time and effort especially since I'm wearing down my only copy of Jl. gF on At might be viable but not probably too reliable unlike its predecessor on Polish Atomic combo.
2nd Testing: (LC)gF.00P.At vs (LC)bL.10C.Sw
Round 1 (bL): gF 1 bL 0 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 2 (gF first): gF 2 bL 0 (SF); both 1 click
Round 3 (bL first): gF 3 bL 0 (SF)
Round 4 (gF first): gF 4 bL 0 (SF)
Round 5 (bL first): gF 5 bL 0 (SF); both 1 click
Round 6 (gF first): gF 6 bL 0 (Over Finish); bL 2 clicks, gF 1 click

Round 10 (gF first): gF 9 bL 2 (SF); both 1 click

Round 12 (gF first): gF 10 bL 3 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 13 (bL first): gF 11 bL 3 (SF); both 1 click
Round 14 (gF first): gF 11 bL 4 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 15 (bL first): gF 12 bL 4 (SF); bL 1 click, gF Burst after hitting SF'd bL once
Round 16 (gF first): gF 13 bL 4 (SF)
Round 17 (bL first): gF 13 bL 6 (BF); bL 2 clicks
Round 18 (gF first): gF 13 bL 7 (SF); gF 1 click
Round 19 (bL first): gF 14 bL 7 (SF); both 1 click
Round 20 (gF first): gF 15 bL 7 (SF); gF 1 click
Results:
gF: 68%
bL: 32%
Input: At Driver really dominates for gF, but the weaker spring is the bane of the combo. Was about to just let them have 10 rounds but the unexpected Bursts and that one OF made me want to go full 20.
Will do the next tests as soon as I have rested up

Can you try out gF 1' wall hold' when hold' is released(soon)? Wall does not scrape too much in hold combos(sometimes) compared to many other tips.

Might try that, but with Hold only, cuz I don't think I'll be getting the Giants Ver. of Gran Valkyrie due to expenses. My input on Hold though is that it has quite bad Stamina against same spin in Left spin compared to Destroy, which I have noticed when using dF and gF against the Longinus family (but I figure you'd rather see concrete results that prove that conclusion huh)

No,no. I'm not saying that you are wrong because I don't have hold to test and therefore incapable of proving you wrong and besides I think you are right based on what little I have seen of hold action. Besides, I didn't expect anything of its same spin performance. I only wanted to see if it would be like lost longinus heavy or gravity hold from dual layer days ( has nice attack power but also capable of spin stealing).

Ahh I see. If I'm able to get a Hold', I might be able to do same left spin matchups, as Hold might just Burst way too easily on gF. Against opposite spin, I really feel that it may have some fight, but not as efficient and almost OP as hS or CZS.

But if say, you are going to a deck format battle and you really wanna use an interesting attack- zombie beyblade like this, I don't think it would be wise to waste your hS layer on this kind of combo unless, this combo is gonna be your zombie combo.
