RE: TrainiacJ's Beyblade Burst concepts - Jinbee - Dec. 07, 2017
An interesting thing to note about that Gladiator Ares.Z.Qt is that the parts are really close to Spriggan Requirem, having a Zero disk and the same 3 tip driver which has an abbreviated name ending with a T. They're both red and the layer has an element of God Valkyrie's gimmick... well Spriggan Requirem apparently does anyway.

Vulcan Krawb XG. Ju. Concept

Going back and making better versions of earlier concepts has been fun.
vK is based on Wing Attacker (obvs), and I feel like I could have made a better design for said claws, but I couldn't figure one out.
Jump is basically Trygle's blade base with a WSF-type tip. Probably wouldn't be very good, but it would be fun to watch.
Crescent Chaos 2. Iv. Concept
[Image: cNNeWSb.png]
Remember this display template?
C2's design has two big walls that are kinda like big ol' swirly things? Designing this thing was kinda hard, mostly due to the white color of the Colored layer and the color I use for the Clear layer being practically invisible on top of it, and honestly the stickers kinda clash with the Colored layer. Idk, I just feel like this could be better.
Invert is essentially Dranzer V's blade base with more stable tip designs (and is also the reason I decided to type this as Balance lol). Because of the magnetic nature of the driver, I hope we get something like this released with the Infinite Beystadium when it's inevitably given a proper release in October.
I don't think Vulcan Krab is a bad bey idea, but the only thing I didn't like it's that it will probabbly break it''s wings. But the idea is awesome.
Sorry for the bad english. I'm Brazilian so my english isn't that good.

Now then, Chroma. With the advent of Hasbro's burst, I think Choma will use slopes like the Hasbro layers because... consistency?
Also, I kinda sorta began conceptualizing a Chroma fanfic series. I highly doubt I'll ever get around to writing it, (fun fact: i made my first YouTube channel somewhere between 2009 and 2011, made one video in 2013, then made a new channel in 2014, didn't use that until 2015, made what was going to be gaming channel later that year, then realized that was stupid and retooled it into Poison Pegasus. I kinda got off topic but the point is I procrastinate a lot ) but I definitely will post the beys that would belong to the characters. Would anyone be interested in those or should I just stick to box art and burst concepts? DO IIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!! ???????

AYYY I DID A THING
Tigra is meant to be a homage to the Driger line, it that wasn't obvious. Vulcan and the Upper Frame are meant to work together in a Driger V2 style, the Heavy core is there because Driger S had 8 Heavy, and isn't Driger S the best one?
The Release Gear goes from fixed tip to free spinning tip, and the Point Base is a metal change tip.
The render here is very much a prototype, I think I made the BL way too big. If someone wants to try and illustrate their own version, be my guest, because it's hard to get the proportions right in Slides. Can we get a side view so we can see what kind of parts it has?

I don't have much motivation to continue working on this thread. Between my lack of ideas for the system and the people who are reuploading the images from here without permission or credit, I think this thread should be laid to rest for a while.
I haven't given up designing tops as whole; I have been working on an original project involving battle tops (much like the wonderful work @[lowen93] and @[Beylon] have been doing), but I'd rather work on it without broadcasting it loudly like I have with these concepts. I will however leave a teaser of what I'm doing for those interested... and if the two aforementioned people would like to see the rest of my designs, I'd love to collaborate :p

Thanks for all the support you guys have given this thread in the year I've been updating it. Maybe once I have better ideas I'll come back to it, haha.

Oh man, end of an era! Strange how the re-uploading thing is going around - heard a few complaints from a number of different creative peeps on here recently. You'll notice I used to tag all my Formula Bei stuff so that people could trace it back eventually, even if it got stolen. Nature and danger of the internet, I suppose.
Best of luck on the new series!

Maximum Garuda's design is based off of Big Bang Pegasus with the motif in the middle stolen from based on the Garudas face from Shogun Steel. Not much else to it. It'd be good for upper attack I suppose.
Level is a driver i've posted here before, but I still feel it's a viable thing to exist at some point. I also gave this bey Nine so theoretically when it's in it's higher height, it can attack with the disc. Idk

With the global pandemic being a thing, and well as the new Superking series being a thing, I've found I suddenly have a lot more time on my hands, as well as more ideas for stuff like this. I'm not going to revive this thread in full since I want to keep my time art-making time dedicated mostly to my personal projects, but I figured I'd complete this one concept I thought up as a bit of a one-shot revival.
Anyway, here's the Layer of the day: γemini γenesis γD!

Backstory and explanations of the individual parts are in the spoiler tags so as to not overcrowd the image with my enormous image files and infodumps, lmao
Whenever I come up with a Bey concept, I always take into account what type of release it would be so I can gauge how many new parts would be required. This Bey idea specifically came about when I was thinking about what this year's Rare Bey Get Battle prize would be, and since last year's was just a Layer, I felt like it would be likely this year's would be just a Layer too. However, since TT seems to be putting more... spirit (I guess?) into this year's releases, I think a fully unique Layer seems more likely to happen than a repeat of last year's prize being just a tacky gold Valkyrie with a new Weight. So when I was thinking about what a release like that could be, my mind turned to Genesis, since it already has a greek letter in its name to make it appear more special, as well as a... safety precaution? Since using the Gamma letter in the names of the new parts would make it more possible to divide them from any future parts, as well as not conflict with any future names. I also picked Genesis as the avatar because I highly doubt they're going to be reviving Genesis for another iteration this season, so that means if I'm right, this post will remain timeless, haha.
I based the colors of these parts off of Bigbang Genesis, but the shape is more based on Regalia Genesis, which I think combines the best aspects of both versions of Genesis. The Chip Core in Genesis is a holdover from an unfinished concept I was working on before the system was revealed in full, hence why it looks almost nothing like either the Helios/Hyperion Chip Core or the generic Chip Core that the rest of the Beys that we've seen thus far use.
The Gemini Ring is probably the least interesting part of the Beyblade in terms of function, but its shape holds true to Regalia Genesis. The part description I wrote for it and the other parts was my attempt at creating a TT-like description, since one of the things I've been doing since last year is translating the part descriptions they've put on their website, and I wanted to mimic that style for this, haha. IRL though, it would probably function like Flash's Attack Mode. It has no special gimmick compared to the Chassis, but that's kind of the point, since the intention of this Layer is that you can use any Ring with the Genesis Chip and γD Chassis to essentially create as many Infinite Lock Layers as there are unique Rings. I came up with the name "Gemini" when thinking of cool word that start with G but also fit with Genesis' somewhat mystical nature, and since my brain has been stuck in Mega Man mode this past week due to quarantine-induced gameplay bingeing, my mind instantly came up with Gemini, haha.
The γD Chassis was originally meant to be shaped more like the Bigbang Armor, but after the first drafts came out looking awkward underneath the Ring, I altered the design to be less intrusive. It still retains the Bigbang Armor colors, however, with red plastic and golden plating. Since a standard Superking Chip would not be able to function with the Infinite Lock System, given the entire lock mechanism needs to rotate, I included the stipulation that the Genesis Chip has to be used with it, because it would be designed to not intrude on the mechanism. The logistics of this are somewhat shaky, especially considering that unlike my last concepts I didn't use references to create bases for Superking concepts, but since this is just an artwork and not a blueprint (and I don't plan on making any more after this), I think I can let it slide, lol.
I also noticed a couple errors while working on this post, namely that the Genesis chip doesn't follow the two-letter naming scheme for the Superking Chips, but given that its super unlikely there's going to be any more official Chips with a name starting with a gamma any time soon, that's kind of a non-issue. Another non-issue I noticed is that in the section for the Chassis names, I forgot to put "γD" in the field for the Japanese name, since the Japanese names for chassis use numerals and english letters for their names, and only have katakana as a pronunciation guide. But again, since the name is basically the same in Japanese and English due to the aforementioned numerals and english letters thing, it's also a pretty pedantic inconsistency, so I'm not going to bother fixing it.
I don't really have a full combo in mind for this Layer, mostly because for a while in development γD was a Double Chassis instead of the final Single Chassis design. I think Vanguard for the Disc and Quest for the Driver would be best, mostly because I think it's funny, haha.
That's all I have to say about this. Thanks for reading if you got this far!
If you have feedback feel free to post it, but make sure not to spam the thread with things like "why did you stop, you should make more" or "can you make my bey" and whatnot, since spam like that in the My Creations subforum tends to clog up the Recent Posts tab and I don't want my own thread to become part of the problem, haha.
