RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Bey Brad - Sep. 19, 2009

It makes it so less surface area of Earth is contacted during a hit.

I believe it is, but no photo really shows it ...

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Nuno - Sep. 19, 2009

I'm sure WD will be a good bottom. Not sure about Earth though.

Thanks for the pics Kai-V! Smile

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Kai-V - Sep. 19, 2009

Earth is 30,95 grams heavy, apparently ...

So Flame and Rock are still heavier.

I kind of don't have any beyblades at the moment.

Then you might want to leave the testing to another person, or you could get other beyblades at the same time ...

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - pie - Sep. 19, 2009

Okay but if I have to get two beyblades the other one will have to be Flame Libra but if I don't then I'll let someone else test it becuase I can only get one. Bot, the bottom looks like a useful part for any blader.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - フェルグラント - Sep. 19, 2009

You must be kidding me.

Oh well, good for stamina, much lighter than Virgo.

Definitely needs some testing.

Lighter does not necessarily mean better Stamina ...

Yeah, but by the looks of the wheel, it's weight is evenly distributed although I worry about the spaces in between
the 4 edges of the wheel, they might cause recoil...

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - pie - Sep. 19, 2009

Or they will give more recoil resistance.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - pie - Sep. 19, 2009

I should shut up about this shouldn't I.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Khel - Sep. 19, 2009

Unhappy 31 grams. WTH

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Kei - Sep. 19, 2009

That is without Aquila, right? If so, then it isn't much different than the other HWS Metal Wheels.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - Khel - Sep. 19, 2009

Yeah, but since it is supposed to be a defense type it would have made more sense to be a minimum of 34.

Who knows maybe it will have good stamina properties.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - pie - Sep. 19, 2009

Earth is a stamina metal wheel.

no it's not

also the description said it had "good weight" so we assumed it would be heavier than flame

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - pie - Sep. 19, 2009

Yikes. But I hope it performes well.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - theflightyellz - Sep. 19, 2009

Maybe it is a defense wheel, but works in a different way to what we're used to seeing with defense parts?
I mean, everybody completely disregarded Lightning as a metal wheel, yet when used with CH120 and RF, it could probably be considered as a top tier part.
Call it wishful thinking, but I'm sure we used to have a policy of "wait till it comes out and we get the chance to test it before crucifying the part"?

Defense usually works through friction via weight or grip. We don't really have the latter function yet, and even then, most grip-based Defensive beyblades tend to be heavy.

IDK, I think it's fair to attempt to make judgements. You always have the right to change your mind.

RE: BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD - lil818mvp - Sep. 20, 2009

I think this is going to be some type of stamina wheel, or defense wheel. But just the track and bttom arent too supportive of this idea
