RE: MegaMan general - bb gregandcin - Nov. 09, 2011 http://act.demandprogress.org/sign/pipa_house/?source=fb the devroom will never have a second chance after this. Now when will we prove capcom needs MegaMan fans on their side? RE: MegaMan general - bumpyfelon - Dec. 15, 2011 This is my favorite video game series ever. I love the simpleness of it and how laid-back and non-serious it is. MM10, MM3, MM1 and MMX are my favorites in the franchise. I don't like Battle Network (it's barely MM) and after X4 it all gets too serious. RE: MegaMan general - bb gregandcin - Dec. 18, 2011 But isnt that how the older fanbase got more into it(at least as far as I can remember)? RE: MegaMan general - bumpyfelon - Dec. 21, 2011 Yeah, but like I said, it's too plot-ish and the playing isn't as fun. Don't get me wrong, X1, X2, X4, and X8 are great, but the others aren't the best. All my friends think MM is the stupidest carp, but I like it. RE: MegaMan general - Proto Man - Dec. 26, 2011 Megaman is great! Honestly I think they should make another game on the star force series and and utilize the 3DS :-3 RE: MegaMan general - Rustled Jimmies - Dec. 26, 2011 Started playing Mega Man Zero in my MMZ Collections game for the DS. Had to restart because I forgot a Cyber Elf from the very first mission (intro mission) that you can only get during that mission by killing certain enemies. Been doing my best to maintain an A rating for practice towards the future games (I think it was 3 they introduced the A/S-Class = Zero technique gimmick). Also recently DLed the Remastered Tracks Rockman Zero albums. I recommend the third one, Telos. Read the drama tracks in the Mega Man wiki along with the tracks themselves. And Telos has one of the better vocal songs. RE: MegaMan general - Wizard - Dec. 27, 2011 I suppose this goes here...? This guy can play! I'm truly amazed. I didn't think anybody tried this on Ocarina yet! XD RE: MegaMan general - bb gregandcin - Dec. 29, 2011 uhh. Bey-Heart, where is the link or whatever. I want to see what the guy is playing( hopefully MegaMan related) or else this is just unrelated things RE: MegaMan general - Hazel - Dec. 30, 2011 He has the video embedded in his post... RE: MegaMan general - KaizerMFB - Dec. 31, 2011 yo, there is a MMBN fan made game going on (MMBN 7). over here, a pro trailer made by them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lW8Yjklvio RE: MegaMan general - Hazel - Dec. 31, 2011 MegaMan fangames are almost all cut from the same mold... they start out looking promising, and then the team working on them discovers exactly how difficult and stressful it is building a functioning game from the ground up while trying to imitate one that a professional company made. I think only... what, three? Maybe four? Solid fangames ever finished... there was a site that had a list of all of them, but I can't seem to find it, now. Hopefully one makes it through, though! RE: MegaMan general - Wizard - Jan. 01, 2012 There is a new Mega Man fan game called Rokko Chan. Or something like that... I heard it's really good, but you need a joypad if you want to play seriously. RE: MegaMan general - Rustled Jimmies - Jan. 06, 2012 To any Mega Man fans who have played the old classic games (Jump-n-Shoot Man 1-6, 7, that racing game, 8, some of the old-school Gameboy games, etc.), I HIGHLY recommend you reading a certain manga series called "Mega Man Megamix" and its sequel "Mega Man Gigamix". Written and drawn by Hitoshi Ariga, it is one of the best retelling of the Mega Man series, and even retells a story of Mega Man not everyone may remember (namely, Mega Man V, not 5, for the Game Boy). There are no scanlations of the series. I seriously urge that you buy the books at your local bookstores. Hitoshi Ariga wrote the story with the North American fans in mind (hence the title Megamix, which was what it was called in Japan), so the least you could do is show your support. RE: MegaMan general - Wizard - Jan. 06, 2012 Mega Man Gigamix Volume 1 is currently nominated for the award of "Best manga of 2011". I personally think it will win! I've been wanting to buy the comic and see if I could get it mailed on a regular basis. I saw previews of it and it blew my mind. Now if Capcom could stop trying to bury the poor guy everything would be cool. I personally think it will win! I hope it does. Asteroid Blues by far is one of my most favorite stories in Hitoshi Ariga's "Remix" series (I use Remix to define his works for Megamix and Gigamix). Vols 2 and 3 top it with the most edge-of-your-seat stories as you read through the pages, bringing in characters from Mega Man V (Gameboy) and Mega Man 8 (mostly just one character). Actually, it's because of Gigamix that I'm working on a rendition story of the Mega Man Remix stories, but I need some help. Preferably from people who've played and completed the following: Mega Man and Bass (Gameboy Advance) Mega Man 9 (DL) Mega Man 10 (DL) And have a bit of creative writing experience. If anyone is interested, please PM me. RE: MegaMan general - Wizard - Jan. 10, 2012 Ah, I'm not that far into them yet. I've been reading scanlations. Which character from Mega Man 8? I'm guessing Duo? Or is it one of the Robot Masters? RE: MegaMan general - Rustled Jimmies - Jan. 10, 2012 Do not open if you want to read the manga and not be spoiled. (post above) That's just a stupid statement in its entirety. Before video: Megaman?! After seeing: ... Megaman...? I don't want to see that. At all. That's terrible, and essentially a slap in the face to him. At least he lives though.
