RE: Weird Facts u know - Annoying-Fork - Aug. 01, 2011 We all should be lucky, that no possibility of Jupiter catching on fire is present. That would definitely endanger the planets adjacent to it.... RE: Weird Facts u know - Temporal - Aug. 01, 2011 Actually, a bacteria-like cluster was found recently on Mars. Bacteria is life, just not sentient life. Unless it IS bacteria, I can't considered it to be life. For instance some people mistakenly think a virus is bacteria-like, but one major distinction is that a virus is not alive. So unless it is sum form of bacteria it can't be life. It can reproduce, and it can be stored for ages RE: Weird Facts u know - Temporal - Aug. 01, 2011 The genetic make-up is similar, it's just small. Hence the "-like" part. RE: Weird Facts u know - Ninja Crab - Aug. 01, 2011 OK i saw sombody say where do i get my facts, 1001 Cool Freaky FACTS RE: Weird Facts u know - RowDog - Aug. 01, 2011 Jupiter has a giant, invisible magnetic force surrounding it. In fact if this force could be seen from Earth Jupiter would be the size of the moon in the night sky. The weird thing is Jupiter has little to no metal on it. So were does this magnetic force come from. At the core of the planet the gravity is so strong and it is so hot it makes nuclei and electrons disperse from each other making some sort of liquid atoms which creates this magnetic field. [/quote] I Hate you,I'm a lefty, imagine what i could accomplish in 9 years RE: Weird Facts u know - NLGrocket - Aug. 01, 2011 OK. This is a weird fact that I think only I know because I created this theory myself. There is a possibility that the universe is two dimensional, because of the fact that the singularity was not capable of exceeding 1 dimension, as a large amount of energy should have been sucked up by primordial black holes at the time of the explosion. This would cause the black holes's energy to move in a plane, as it is expanding from one dimensional getting infinitly larger every googleplextianth of a second. It would continue being pushed out on a 1 dimemsional plane, if primordial black holes act the same way modern ones do. So, theoreticly, in a flat universe, (or any universe, to an extent,) time doesn't exist at the end of a black hole. So, could a tachyon, a theoretical particle that can exceed the speed of light, might be able not to be crushed by the gravity of a black hole. If so, then in the end of the black hole, when time ceases to exist, the tachyon would exist outside of the singularity traveling infinitely into a "dimension" where time doesn't exist. This could be a possibility on how to time travel. RE: Weird Facts u know - Temporal - Aug. 01, 2011 That second to last part is true. Time is non-existent in a black hole, thus it is referred to as the the space at the "End of Time", even though this in and of itself is a contradiction, seeing as space and time are one and the same entitiy, and cannot be seperated. In relative space to the observer, there IS no space, thus rendering time unable to exist, as all things are relative to something or another. I'm actually doing a bunch of research to develop my own theory, and hopefully, I might figure out if a spontaneous event actually caused the beginning of time, whether it be a "Big Bang", or it's lesser known counterpart, a "Big Crunch". RE: Weird Facts u know - spiritofldrago - Aug. 02, 2011 If you orbit a black hole for a year you will come back, and it will be many years later. RE: Weird Facts u know - Temporal - Aug. 02, 2011 No you won't. You'll be torn to pieces. Besides, time does not exist in a back hole. Everyone who is posting things on the universe that they find on the internet, please pick up a copy of "A Brief History of Time" or "The Universe in a Nutshell" by Stephen Hawking. It explains a lot. RE: Weird Facts u know - bumpyfelon - Aug. 02, 2011 Whoever says that you can only access 10% of your brain is lying. You use ALL of your brain almost every day. we would all be retarded if we could only use 10%. Look at graphs of brain activity. Almost all of it is colorful. I hav seen many studies where that theory has been proven false. Also, if Jupiter became a star, it would have little to no effect. The Earth is much farther away from Jupiter than the Sun, and Jupiter is like comparing a Cocoa Puff to a Large Popcorn ball. There is no comparison, and the energy given off by Jupiter in that state will be too little to effect us. RE: Weird Facts u know - Temporal - Aug. 02, 2011 Dude, talking about for thinking. And frankly, humans aren't that bright, we just think we are. Research shows that the average person uses just that- 10%. This is considered "brain capacity", and it is used for our thoughts, while the other 90% is used to keep us alive. Now, who told you otherwise, seeing as I've had two Biology classes tell me this. It explains a lot. It is important to remember these are theories based on hypotheses, the truth is that we don't actually know. We have never been able to do experiments on anything we haven't brought back to earth with the exception of data gathered from probes. Obviously if a probe were sucked into a black hole we wouldn't get any data back either, so we need to think of ways to study singularities to prove or disprove modern theory. RE: Weird Facts u know - To - Aug. 03, 2011 In a dubious study, it was found out that among internet browsers, users using Internet Explorer have the lowest average IQ, and those using Chrome, and Opera have higher than normal. RE: Weird Facts u know - To - Aug. 03, 2011 It's dubious because it's a selected group of individuals, in a relatively small sample size. RE: Weird Facts u know - Ninja Crab - Aug. 03, 2011 Here is 3 1. A car travelling approximently 160 km ( 100 miles ) per hour would take 29 million years to reach the nearest star beyond the sun 2. Rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, two rats could have 1 million descendants 3. When it comes to a study like that, that is foul play. There is no excuse for a small sample when one is trying to determine the average IQ of a group of consumers. That is also highly insulting to the millions who use IE. |
