I used to love Hardcore music.
But about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago I started getting private guitar lessons.
My teacher got me into heaps of progressive music, which over time I've grown to absolutely love.
I still like most of the metal I used to listen to, except I don't think I could get into stuff I hadn't heard before again.
It just seems as if it doesn't have much depth to it, and there's a limit to the amount of different chugging riffs you can write.

I don't mind some of the metal that is released nowadays like Mastodon but I do listen to some bands and just hear screaming and distortion and wonder what's musical about it. Meh, it's all down to musical taste I guess.

I love rock, all types of rock, mainly alternative and hard rock. My favorite bands are Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park. Bullet for my Valentine, Escape the Fate, Bless the Fall, Saosin, Paramore, and Rise Against. My favorite song right now is by Anberlin though The Feel Good Drag. alot has happened to my music tastes since i last posted, i have become a huge fan of melodic metalcore, with such bands as Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage and Bullet For my Valentine, just wondering if anyone else on this forum has similar tastes.

well if you cant deside listen to all of them but what gets me the most is immedaite music, trailer music, and score. they give you that feelling. absolutly love them.
then there everything from new age-rock-rap-trance-underground gangster beats.......shrugs, no county music.
one of mt fave score songs is "death of the titanic" by James Honer i believe dont have it on me.
my fave trance song is "suberban train" dj tiesto and PPK Resurection. cant deside
anything other in rock or what not changes as much as i change my underwear, all depends on my mood! either way i know its not asking what songs but i'll just throw it out there anyways. XD
