RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

Okay okay, let's turn those frowns upside-down. Tongue_out We've gotta move on from this. No use dwelling on how we all kinda screwed up, we've gotta move on to planning even more amazing stuffs. And uh, plan them well this time. XD

As I see it we now have two choices. Either relocate for the day or reschedule completely. Both have their pros and cons so let's have a look at them shall we?

Relocating would be simpler for the people who were only coming to the Expo for the Spinoff and possibly people that had already made travel arrangements. However, for the people that intended to go to the Expo anyways, this would be awkward as they wouldn't be able to make it. I for one would still be going to the Expo so this isn't my favoured choice but if it turns out that this is the option easiest for the majority of UK bladers then we'll go with that.

Rescheduling would mean we could have the whole thing a little later. This may give people the chance to calm down. We'd have complete choice of when and where to hold it and if we scheduled it later we could stop stressing over whether we're all gonna have Metal Faces and RFs and stuff in time. XD Plus some of the people that couldn't come to the Exop may possibly be able to make this one....

And then a pro for both of them, you no longer have to be worried about being attacked by crazed otaku. Grin (unless you include me XD)

So we need to decide whether to relocate or reschedule. And then we need to decide on a place (there's a lot of scope for this in London so don't worry about that too much). And if we decide to reschedule we need to find when people are free. I think the main options for that are:

- the week following the Expo as school aged peoples will be on half term (could be awkward for workers though)
- the summer holidays
- the weekends and any bank holidays leading up to the summer holidays

Right, get thinking about it then. We're all in this together now. Wink Also, I don't wanna see anyone trying to spread the blame on this thing. There are a load of things that were poorly done but as UK members we're all partly responsible. Plus despite the outcome, people were working really hard towards this and getting pretty stressed out. And even though it didn't work in the end, it got us one step closer right? Now we're serious about having an event and we've gone and bought beyblades and such and I dunno how quickly that would've happened before. So if anything, you should thank them. XD Because being all negative is no fun.

Oh and one more thing, we were hoping Spinoff would be pretty big but we haven't even seen each other before. This is the very first UK event so why don't we make it more like a meet and greet tourney? Take it relaxed, we could have lunch beforehand or something I dunno. But uh, let's leave that side till later. ^^;

Now, how do you guys wanna do this?

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - May. 03, 2009

Rocky, you can take charge of this if you want.

OT, but your sig is sick.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

Well it's looking that way in any case. I hope that Espio, Giga, dieddead and some others can come if we reschedule though.

I had to google what OT meant. =_= I feel dumb now. Thanks though. XD

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Zander Soulwind - May. 03, 2009

Very well said Rocky. *Claps* But the problem for me is that I might not have the money to travel any other day than the expo but I have to say that the expo day should not be the day we do it.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Ash - May. 03, 2009

Wherever it is, i'll try my best to be there. Smile

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Neeek - May. 03, 2009

Summer Holidays?
I still don't know how I could possibly get down there but I can try.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

Well , Rocky i think we should reschedule it to the half term near August but relocate it aswell , so we have plenty of time to get the beyblades we want and stuff that we need whilst relocating , but i don't know where we could relocate it to.
Just an idea.Tongue_out_wink

It's the summer holidays at that time.
And also, I don't know anywhere in London apart from the Expo hall Confused

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

If you're worried about travel and stuff, just think of what the US peoples have to do. We're actually quite lucky to live in such a small country.

Also, forgot to add, if anybody has bought tickets and doesn't want to go anymore, it should be possible to resell them.

And I know the summer holidays is a little far but time goes quicker than you might think. Also, don't forget we can have multiple tourneys. (there was a point behind that but I forgot what it was)

London is actually pretty damn easy to navigate within. Plus I'll help all I can with directions or whatnot. You won't get lost. Plus we can phone each other too.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - May. 03, 2009

If someone bought tickets but now doesn't want to attend, PM me and I'll see if I can get you a refund.

1) It's just the thought of being in a big carpin' scary city alone. :\
2) I certainly does, it's May already!
3) That's easy for you to say, you live there. I'm only a small town boy. Confused

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

Well what area of the UK do you live in?

This is true but that wouldn't change the facted that I might not have the money.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

Yes but if we reschedule it you will have time to save up.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Ash - May. 03, 2009

If its between 25th July - 8th August I can't come D:

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

Well then how about the 20th of August or around that date.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

Well, it seems that you would like to reschedule completely which is easier for me in any case but we should still keep the possibility of relocating open.

Driger, there will be many dates which not everyone can make which is why we need to make them clear now. We'll keep those dates in mind.

Neek, how will you be getting there? Train, car? I know it's hard for you but if you could make it that'd be great. And if you got the train then I'm sure I could meet you at the terminal or something. >.>

Zander, I'm not sure how much these things cost because I always buy a child ticket and it's quite cheap. Do you know how much it'd be? I didn't think you lived too far away. We might be able to sort out something? Confused

It might be a bit early for this but here's a list of all the dates up until like Septemberish. Which ones can everyone make? I guess it'd be nice if we could sort a few possible dates so people can avoid double booking. Also, I tried to filter in any dates when people may be free because it's easier on my brain but obviously not everyone will be free every day. I break up before younger kids do. I don't even know if people who are working ever get holiday but they should be free on the weekends. Etc, etc.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

Well Rocky i think we should do it in August because everyone hopefully on Wbo that want to come to the spinoff will have an MFB so there will be more people coming to the the tournament but i'm still not sure about the relocating.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Aqua - May. 03, 2009

So Rocky it seems your in charge of this now Cute

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

Ahaha. I'm not sure if we even need one person in charge. As long as we all know what we're doing. ^^; But it is seeming that way. I don't mind leading in any case.

Sam, August is a popular holiday time, as is July. We need to see when everyone else is free before we start suggesting too much though it is true that that does give people a bigger opputunity to buy more blades or even recruit others. Relocating is a must though.....

Does anyone particular fave locations they want to go to. A lot of people are saying Hyde Park. St. James' Park also springs to mind but seriously, there are loads. It would be good if we coud find somewhere that had a flat surface so probably a concreted area and that was a little to one side but no totally secluded. And some flowers and such would be nice (unless people have hayfever?). And a bench. Think places similiar to where they hold the New York tourneys.

Basildon is my area so it's not to bad but it is the point that i don't normally get any of the money I get from Jobseekers.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

^ How do you eat?

Parents get the food. Most of the time though, if I go out and get hungry then I have to put up with it since I can't buy anything.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - May. 03, 2009

How about Trafalga Square it's concrete there is places to sit etc.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - May. 03, 2009

^^......that's scary. Find out how much a ticket would cost and we'll see if we can work something out. Though you should try to do odd jobs. Or sell your food or something..........>.>

Trafalgar Square is an idea but it would probably get too crowded, aspecially if there was a parade or something. We don't wanna get our beys stolen or broken. D=
