Yes they are. They're Sonokong and which produce real beyblades. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Pikachao - Aug. 13, 2014 Am I correct in thinking this is fake? It states that it's made by Takara Tomy, so I assume it isn't. I was also looking at the other Beyblade-related items okinawam1978 has up for listing, and they all look to all be legitimate ones. ![]() EDIT: Dranzer King posted before me. Hyped to finally get a new-in-box bey that I've wanted since I was a little kid. That seller has a ton of legit rare plastics, it's pretty insane. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Neo - Aug. 26, 2014 So..are there any HMS fakes ? Never seen one. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Poseidon - Aug. 26, 2014 Yeah there's been quite few; I remember a wave of gold plated Beys hit the market a few wards back. Any pictures? RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Poseidon - Aug. 27, 2014 It was quite a few years a go, I daresay Ultra or someone else into HMS and Plastics from Britain can remember them. Basically the metal frame was cheaply painted in gold. No pictures sorry. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kidd Ragnarok - Oct. 15, 2014 Also the Hms fake boxes had a sign called "TT" but it doesn't stand for takara tomy plus obviously the plastic was cheap... Hence why I always type the whole "TAKARA-TOMY" name out instead of using "TT" that originally refers to the fake company TT Hongli ... Also never heard of rapidity before. I have heard of Peg-top and TT Hongli when it comes to fake beys. On the flip side though I have an unusual habit of collecting fake things just because. Yes, they are, hence the low quality of the Beyblades and their shine. Not to mention the low price of the lot, too. From my experience, both Johnmiller and Plaything-Good generally sell fake Beyblades, as well. They are also top-rated sellers, although others have bought off of them, not knowing about the non-authentic items. Who knows, maybe they don't even know about what they're selling to others! Those are definately fake, especially the Vulcan Horuseus one. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - #Mr. Awesome# - Oct. 31, 2014 So I was on eBay searching for older series Metal Fight Beyblades, and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAKARA-TOMY-BEYBLADE-WBBA-LIMITED-EDITION-SILVER-Quetzalcoatl-90WF-RARE-/230903286726?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash=item35c2e88bc6 It looks very epic, especially as a collector item, but I'm not too sure a prize bey such as Quatzelcoatl would be sold for so little. Plus, the seller has it listed in a cardboard box. So, is it fake? ![]() Thanks in advance RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Driger_Guy - Oct. 31, 2014 (Oct. 31, 2014 4:03 AM)Andrios77 Wrote: So I was on eBay searching for older series Metal Fight Beyblades, and found this: Judging by the Takara Tomy on the box, i would be inclined to say it is real. I have seen several Quetzalcoatl on Ebay just like it going for the same price and sometimes even cheaper. I guess it's just not very popular amongst collectors or something. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - #Mr. Awesome# - Nov. 18, 2014 So I was on eBay looking for a good stock amount of Beyblades to buy (as a gift), and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-8PCS-OFFICIAL-TAKARA-TOMY-METAL-FIGHT-BEYBLADE-STICKER-TOOL-2JSET-/141084401884?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash=item20d94920dc The seller says that the tops are pure Takara Tomy, and the tops come with the sticker sheet and tool. The tops all are from Random Booster 4. I just wanted to make sure these are legit before buying them RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kai-V - Nov. 18, 2014 (Nov. 18, 2014 9:50 PM)Andrios77 Wrote: So I was on eBay looking for a good stock amount of Beyblades to buy (as a gift), and found this: buzztoy is certified legitimate as far as I can remember. The packages with the instruction sheets is something that sellers of fakes usually do not have, also. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kidd Ragnarok - Nov. 18, 2014 Johnmiller is from eBay right? If he is I was atually going to buy a Diablo nemesis but when I saw the sticker of the bey I knew it was fake... but whould it be a bright side if fake brands give you more part. Any fake part is illegal in any beyblade tournament, so you really shouldn't buy it. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kidd Ragnarok - Nov. 19, 2014 I didn't buy it because I knew it was fake. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - #Mr. Awesome# - Nov. 19, 2014 Johnmiller sells carp. Trust me, don't buy from him. RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Leone19 - Nov. 24, 2014 I almost forgot to post this- the most hilarious thing happened. About last month at the local fair, there were some vendors with a bunch of bootleg junk. Aside from getting a knock-off Transfomers Animated Activator Set (the molds were nice, haha) I picked up a "5D Beyblade XTS Top".... because obviously 4D<5D Beyblade on motorcycles. It came with a Flame Pegasus with a Destroyer Dome track based off of the "Rampage" BeyWheel part. If you launch it on the side, it actually works better than most Wheelz, haha. It was actually pretty cool- I'll try to post a picture soon. |
