RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Sparta - Sep. 22, 2011 Think he meant where to take her and stuff, Dei. Uhmm...I would start by talking to her and stuff (No duh), and the first place you should go is over her house. NOT YOURS, hers. This way the parents get to meet you and can trust you taking her anywhere after that. He made his relationship sound very unnatural. Just go to a restaurant with your parents. Have your parents and her parents sit at one table and you and your girl sit at another. That's what I did on my first date. If this relationship gets better and I want to extend it, I'll probably leave this hobby just for her. There is no legitimate reason to put a hold to a hobby for a romantic interest, unless your hobby is dating numerous people or marauding or something similar. (Just realizing he is really mean sometimes to people). My friend tried to tell me, but I didn't listen. But anyways there is a new kid in my school. Sometimes I think he is flirting with me, but I'm not quite sure. I mean he comes over while I'm selling popsicles for our New York trip and ask how I'm doing. But in P.E. class we really do not talk. I'm so confusedYea..never had my dilemma answered XD RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Hazel - Sep. 22, 2011 (Sep. 22, 2011 12:07 PM)hammer hades Wrote: it's life relashionships over hobby hazel Actually, the two never have to really be opposed to one another. Most people worth really being with will give a little with your hobbies, and you will give a little with theirs. Learning to live in harmony with someone else - and their choices, interests, friends, etc. is a mandatory part of any serious relationship. Anyone that waltzes into your life and starts demanding changes is not going to turn out well in the end. Like I said before - unless your hobbies are dangerous, debaucherous, destructive, etc. - there's no legitimate reason to have to give them up for the right person, because the right person will respect your interests. If you're not comfortable with your hobbies, or think you need to be ashamed of them, then that is an issue to take up with yourself, too - if you use a relationship as a scapegoat for ditching a hobby, it will just cause unwanted tension toward the person that will eventually resurface in ugly ways. When my ex told me to quit Beyblade, I told her she can quit me if she really felt that way. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - .:J:. - Sep. 22, 2011 I agree, if they love you for someone else, its not real. my girlfriend likes me for all my good qualities, and the bad ones, if someone doesn't respect what you like, then forget the relationship, it's not real if they can't bear it to be with you. (If she were to find out after we were to get hooked up, that is) XD (I'm joking, btw.) Things seems to be going pretty good for me right now. I'm over my breakup, and I actually like a few other girls right now. Meanwhile, Nano is still looking. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - .:J:. - Sep. 22, 2011 an illness? I thought it was just a stage of madness, you know, the one where you really need help if you eat other people. anyway i'm doing fine, but now i'm faced with the problem of I have to face my GF in a game of football in a tournament, and she really wants to win, but so do I, i'm guessing that I shouldn't go easy on her, because thats what I know from experience, but what would you guys do?
