Monotone means it must revolve around own color basically. Different shades of that color are fine.

Lost of good work from everyone, Possibly the themes are quite broad as to give us more creative freedom. Not from lack of ideas.
Ok, lets clarify.. your saying that if i want to have any solid black at all in my compositions my chosen monotone color is Black/Grey tones? or black and white no other colors?
I couldn't say, have a Red apple on a Red background outlined in Black. Or would it have to be outlined in another shade of red?

OK, now I'm confused, haha. Just make sure the colors are similer. Like, you would do blue and yellow...
Just make sure your image has one main color. Like my Requaser one. You could tell it was green.

Generally, most art pieces have one main color...
I'm honestly confused... Monotone would be all green, all red, or all blue.. It's like Black and White in a single hue.

I'm gonna try and clear this up... Basicallyy, if you're confused, try and ignore the technical name L's put. He's trying to say you can use one color, but can have different shades/gradients of it. Eg. green - light green, dark green. etc.

OK, look, I'm not sure if this is even monotone. Just make sure it matches colors. I allow B/W for every picture. You can use diffrent shades like Green to Blue.

As you could see, the Rayquaza one, its mostly green. Or am I wrong. The entry I got from Synth was perfect! I'm not gonna say more, but yes, just stick to a major color. Then you can use little highlights.

Sucks how people can commit to a tournament and not follow through with it (not blaming, I'm saying it in a sad kind of way). Even if you have prior commitments you kinda get a whole week to work on it but what can you do?

Actually, The Alchemeist PMed me saying he can no longer do the tournament due to personal reasons.
I'm going to lock it for now, and maybe either me or sarabscientist could finish it. We will see.
