RE: Gravity Falls - UGottaCetus - Oct. 21, 2012
I have one. Anyone else notice the wierd tattoo on Stan's back? You can see it in Fight Fighters when he reaches up to get that thing on the shelf. Its near his right ribcage and looks very peculiar. So far, no one seems to have noticed it.

I noticed it too. It was weird. You had to really pause it at the right time to see it.

the tatoo may be a reversed image of some kind of seceret. If somebody saw it, they may not know what it is unless they take a photo of it and/or look at it in a mirror. However, because the tatoo is on his back not even he could see it in a mirror. What i'm thinking is: Stan wrote the books with at least 3 copys or parts. he seperated them around gravity falls and keeps a map on his back.

Nice, one thing though, you think STAN wrote the book????? Well it's a huge possibility that he could have. I don't know, it is usually the person you least expect which in this case would be Stan, So maybe your right. Having this thought, we don't even know were the tattoo came from? He couldn't have done it himself sooo, there has to be someone else too, maybe it's a character they haven't shown yet. Who knows.
RE: Gravity Falls - beybladefoever - Oct. 27, 2012
Look at what I found, a strong theory,
Okay so this is gonna be super long, but it’s another perspective at the Mr. Pyramid image with the circle that has symbols in it’s ring. It all started with the question mark…
Everyone has gone about saying the symbols represent people. A strong case of this is the question mark, which everyone has split into two possible choices: The Mystery Shack, and Soos. A lot of people have concluded its Soos since it fits with the idea each symbol represents a specific person in the show. I think we need to think the exact opposite of that, making the question mark the Mystery Shack.
From episode one, question marks are EVERYWHERE in the Mystery Shack. The golf cart, shirts to sell, staff shirts, and various signs in the shack’s gift shop. Soos is also seen wearing shirts without the question mark every now and then, and while I believe he’s a key character (he knows whats going on, since episode one he’s been assisting our protagonists), I don’t believe Soos is the specifically pointed out piece in the circle.
So the other symbols? Well think of it like the game Illuminati, all the symbols represent groups and organizations within Gravity Falls. “He†would know and watch over all the groups that deal with Gravity Falls’ politics and secrets. In the game Illuminati, there are different groups trying to take over the world by empowering lower ranked groups (ex. UFOs trying to take over New York by using Rebellious Punks in New York. It’s also been a long time since I’ve played, so it’s not exactly like that, but its for the sake of examples). It also doesn’t make sense to me that a page that looks to be in the 6 Finger book (same notes, clues, codes) would know about Dipper and Mable and the kinds of clothes they would wear. “He†might know, but for the sake of my theory, it makes sense the Author couldn’t predict younger generations to come.
Well lets look at other symbols to back this up. Since it’s still just a theory, there’s a few holes and pieces that I’ll address as well.
The Sunglasses/Glasses: Everyone has considered them to represent the Sheriff, or the popular younger Grunkled Stan/Older Dipper (so many theories :’D). I believe they are a clue held by Sheriff Blubs since he wears shades, but does not represent Sheriff Blubs. After the Episode Irrational Treasure, we find out there’s some kind of very top secret government watching over Gravity Falls. Not just some kind of group within Gravity Falls, a group strong enough to send 2 kids and a secret President to be locked away in DC forever. This is the group I believe the Sunglasses represent, as this can’t be the only thing they watch Gravity Falls for. “He†knows they watch him and try to find out his secrets, so this is why and how they are represented.
The Heart: Everyone says “No brainer, it’s Robbie†since it’s a symbol on his Jacket. Well if we look at the idea that it’s not about one person, we can’t say it’s /just/ Robbie. So what else could the heart represent? Theories of Robbie being a Zombie complete this symbol. In the first episode, it says to beware since they blend in so easily. Gravity Falls must have a Zombie population, considering they have been around enough to blend in as part of the society. Now whether Robbie is a Zombie, or just part of the community in some way is another story.
Shooting Star: This is one where my theory gets stats to crumble. Mostly because Mable wears this and has it plastered all over her room. I have a few ideas regarding this symbol; 1) It’s a trick, and it’s supposed to be something completely different. No color = Possibility it’s supposed to represent something else. 2) It’s supposed to represent someone specifically, and it ended up being Mable. If their parents have known about Gravity Falls and the secrets the way Stan has, it’s not hard to provide a sweater with a “sign†of who the person is supposed to be. This doesn’t fit as well, but only does because it’s not “This is Mable†so much as “This is so-and-so from the Six Finger chartâ€. 3) This one I’m not so keen on, but maybe the Gomes. They barf rainbow, and chose Mable for their Queen. There are at least 1,000 of them hiding in the forest, and that’s a good amount for a little Gnome population of Gravity Falls.
Llama: This one super thwarts my idea. I’m thinking there will hopefully be an episode to give me an idea to fit this theory, but I don’t know much. I know the Llama has been mentioned by the Manotaurs but I don’t remember what they say, /and/ I know Mabel wears a Llama sweater. I do believe the fact that there’s a Llama /and/ a shooting star might actually prove it’s not Mabel in just that there’s multiple symbols to represent her. I did read the really popular idea with the “Mable vs. Wendy†or “Robbie vs. Dipper†theories, and in this case, that makes the most sense to why there would be two symbols for Mable or Stan; However, this is the one that stumps me the most.
6 Finger Hand: This represents all the people who have come into contact with the book, or the original people the book was passed onto. 6 Fingers, 6 Books, I believe there are 6 people the book was originally given to (If it includes the Author or not, I don’t know). We’ve only seen two books, one being hidden in the forest and the other by Gideon. If Gideon was given a book or not, I don’t know. He’s apparently young enough to date Mable, no questions asked, but has white hair? I wonder if he’s older than he lets on and uses magic to fool everyone, or if he has the book through inheritance, OR if he found it like Dipper.
Star: Gideon’s troup. People have wondered about Gideon’s parents, and I think this is correct to look into. If it’s not Gideon’s real parents, a lot could be revealed by who they really are. I believe Gideon’s story about his connection with the book would reveal more. He has very powerful magic, the question is: Where did he get it? That same question could be answered by finding out who else would wear the Star Symbol Gideon wears and has all over his home. Gideon is part of a group that teaches magic, and have a large influence over Gravity Falls, using Gideon as their “ambassador†to hide themselves.
Pine Tree: Dipper? Maybe. This is the same situation with the question mark in the Mystery Shack, but it’s more subtle. It’s on shirts and hats in the gift shop, and Dipper’s original symbol was a star on a brown hat. I believe it represents forces within the woods/forest around Gravity Falls, perhaps even the trees themselves (Several creepy images implying the trees are more than just trees can be found just on google images). It could even be the innocent forces of Gravity Falls that are represented by the tree just because of their own society or how they keep their distance from the residents of Gravity Falls.
Stan’s Hat Symbol: Just like Gideon’s Symbol, this represents a group Stan was once part of. He was likely kicked out, but keeps the hat as a reminder since all members had to wear it (Think of the Flintstones and the group Barney and Fred were part of, wearing the blue hats). The reason I conclude Stan had to be kicked out OR left is because Stan is part of the Mystery Shack group, and his hat is a minor clue to something greater than just Stan. In “The Legend of the Gobblewonker†many have speculated his statement of “The boys from the lodge†and have made the same connection he was part of something greater. A little off note as well, there is a weird little tapestry that looks like a vertical version of the symbol on his hat. It has a crescent moon on it’s back, with a crown on top, and some weird garment in the middle? It’s a decoration in his living room that might be a small clue that makes no sense now, but could also just be a weird thing in his living room. Who this group is, why Stan isn’t part of it anymore, and if it’s who Stan is talking about in episode 2 are all questions only more episodes could answer.
Bag of Ice: So every episode Wendy is in, she has to deal with Ice. This leads people to believe it must be her, but in this case I believe this is no where near what it represents. I only have one idea, as this is another symbol that I’m iffy on, but not as bad as the Llama. I think this is the most obscure since I have so little to make an idea from, but that’s how Theories work. There is only one other significant thing regarding Ice, and it’s the Cooler Creature. The Cooler Creature is what the Gravity Falls Wiki has labeled the creature in the Ice box from the episode “The Inconveniencing†(Dipper gets Ice for Wendy and a scary brain monster thing shows up). It could be just a thing Pa and Ma made, but it was never explicitly stated this was the case, so I’m going to exploit that :’D I think this one is closer to being similar to the Pine Tree symbol. It represents paranormal creatures, or almost Cthulhu type horrors. Their home is in cold places, and in Gravity Falls, it’s easiest for them to hang out in coolers or freezers. Even though Oregon is probably pretty cold, its not cold enough for them. Why are Ma and Pa not in the freezer? Either because Human Ghosts are their own sub group that are not big enough to play a part of the circle, or because it’s a specific kind of Paranormal group that will be later clarified.
So that’s it! Obviously not 100%, but it’s something I believe makes more sense than representing every main character in Gravity Falls with multiples. This provides a way to see different groups, no repeats, and I believe would create a crazy final battle type episode, where all these groups clash or team up to begin their rule in Gravity Falls. Wow, this is great! I am been studying the symbols too and making conclusion but this takes the cake. Thank you for this. The way I see it is the symbols have a connection with the characters right?
Mabel has most of the Symbols on her shirts. So she is a very important part. Grunkle Stan has a symbol on his hat, Soos on his shirt, Robbie on his shirt, and so on.

It's been a while since Gravity Falls has come on TV. Wander why though, maybe there making a special episode that will be a hour. I hope so, cause that would be awesome. They should make a movie off of Gravity Falls. It would be great! I hope Gravity Falls comes on this week.

Oh okay, that's weird. I wander what was wrong with the channel. It seemed to be fine, maybe it was a technical error that couldn't be seen on regular TV.

Scheduling problems? I don't know what went wrong TBH, all I know is that there is no confirmed replacement date and as such the series is currently on hold indefinitely. Which sucks.

Apparently there have been complaints that the supernatural content of the show is not in keeping with the bible and that exposes kids to death at too early an age so it's continuation is up in the air at the minute.
I really hope we don't lose a good show like this to a bunch of stupid, overprotective american parents.

Alex Hirsch said it wasn't going to end because we don't even know the Triangle guys name yet. Yea ik HE HAS A NAME! I couldn't believe it.

From what I've herd on the GF wiki chatroom, the next episode, Boss Mable, is going to be aired as early as December 21, so there is a huge gab until the next episode, so that sucks.
