RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - BeyCenter - Sep. 14, 2011 These Labels, are just a dumb way for kids to make fun of others. I'm not too interested in dating, and thats just due to religion. Some kids make fun of me for it, but they just need to grow up and learn everyone is different. Just don't fret about it. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Temporal - Sep. 14, 2011 Me! *raises hand* Frankly, it's dumb. Why is being "gay" seen as an insult? Frankly, if you could use the stereotype of the straight person as an indicator, frankly, THEY'RE the one who should be jeered for being so damn CLOSED MINDED. Jeebus, it's so annoying. But I'm jeered for a bunch of stuff. Being a "geek", religion (Godless Freak? Can you get any LESS creative, thank you?), and some other things. And it's DUMB. I see no purpose in maing others feel like crud over something that they really shouldn't need to change? Anyway, I'm done venting. My elementary school friends were about thirteen when they considered dating and when I (obviously) was the one to know better- someone just had to be political and label me (thus anyone else) for not being interested in dating. This is why so many fear Americas current society now. I grew up in the Deep South of the US - a place where deferring from any social norm whatsoever got a label slapped on you instantaneously. The number of things I got called growing up - and got called purely because of a few health problems beyond my own control - is far too high(and explicit - I may as well just post a picture of a fish) to count. Children will grow up being influenced by their parents, surroundings, and traditions of their area. The best possible thing to do - in any walk of life, but most especially school/teenage years - is to turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to negative response from other students, unless you are doing something that is blatantly wrong from a logical and moral standpoint. School is, as a social situation, entirely meaningless on the grand scale of life. It's immediately evident the very day you're done with it. The opportunities to make friends are potent, but the "enemies", social stigmas, and titles assigned or acquired in those years are just refuse piling up on the back porch of your life. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Deikailo - Sep. 14, 2011 If one of your male peers calls you gay, you should tell them to stop hitting on you. If they ask why you would think that way, retort with "Why else would you want me to be gay?" "I'm not the one waddling around in a pack of other guys dressed the same." usually evoked comical responses, as well... but, I would not really suggest taunting people who could potentially hurt you. There's standing up for yourself, and then there's just being a big silly. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Wizard - Sep. 14, 2011 Ok, I was talking to this girl I'm friends with, and I couldn't resist saying this, so I'm telling you guys what I said. "I really like you, and I don't know any other way to ask this, but I was wondering... Can I eat your first born child?" Oh my god, this was hilarious. XD Although me and her are just friends, I'm just posting this here because I kinda like her. EDIT: Btw, she said I could eat her first born child. I was very much excited XD RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - ElevatorMadness - Sep. 14, 2011 (Sep. 14, 2011 8:39 PM)Bey-Heart Wrote: Ok, I was talking to this girl I'm friends with, and I couldn't resist saying this, so I'm telling you guys what I said.Lol. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - BeyCenter - Sep. 14, 2011 I honestly just laughed my lungs out when I heard that. Lol, she will definitely remember you know. You may have just made her "like" you. But ya, I was not expecting that, RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - TITAN - Sep. 14, 2011 Well, 5 weeks into school and they're already holding the first dance. My mom says I should go, and eventually I won't be the creepy fat kid without a date to the dance. The thing is, the only two girls I like already have dates. So, should I cough up the 5 bucks and pray, or should I spend next Friday at home, ranting on this thread? RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Captain Caprii - Sep. 14, 2011 -cry- Ugh stupid girls...You tell one that you like such and such then give them a dollar to keep there mouth shut...But they tell anyway the girl then asked my "friend" (Aka me )If he wanted to go out for a day..A stupid day that was almost over....Then the other guys sitting next to me was like aah u got excited..Im like what deh carp?I wasn't even smileing or anything and i really didn't care since it was a day...........Now i have absolutly no chance of even becoming friends with her...All because you tell one girl then she tells the girl next to her then the other girls in her squad line thingie..........Glad i didn't say that i like her RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Ultra - Sep. 14, 2011 So you're complaining about something that was basically your fault... I was the girl who showed up in a hot rod with flame decals without a date and every teacher was like "damn, Danielle, you really know how to make an entry" I had fun with my friends and teachers, did some dancing, etc. I was the one who told the DJ to play OPP. lol! I had EVERYONE on the dance floor with that song. In short, just go. A dance is to be in the company of your friends more than someone you like, or at least I've found it's so much better when you just socialize outside of school. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Hazel - Sep. 14, 2011 Captain Caprii, you shouldn't take things so seriously at your age, bro. It's not healthy for you - emotionally, monetarily, physically, or academically - to be so focused on something so perpetually meaningless at that age. Don't remain embittered about it, either - the girls who did this are no more or less naive than you, and they will eventually likely grow up, too. I am sorry you had a bad experience, however. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Captain Caprii - Sep. 14, 2011 Simply because...I payed them to keep there mouth shut.I thought they would, but obviously it was a lie because they just wanted more money...I didn't have Edit:Thanks hazel That post was def not there before RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - |Joe| - Sep. 15, 2011 Finally got a pic of me and my boyfriend haha. We both look kinda weird cause my friend caught us off guard and he was mid sentence XD RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Chups - Sep. 15, 2011 le link is not working. At the moment. I'm in year 7. No, not at all. I'm firstly at a private school so we usually get into girls at a older age. Keyword: Usually. Also other guys are the same as me. I'm sure it would be different with other guys and probably me as well if the girls were in our class (see It's a boy+girl school but the school is split in half and we dont have classes with them). But yeah at the moment that definitely isn't happening. Hardly anyone even talks about them. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Prince Blaze - Sep. 15, 2011 I have had a couple of girlfriends, but not lately... I just don't feel like having one now (IDK why). I do like a girl I know, but I strongly doubt she likes me.... So you see, I doubt I will have one untill High School... Don't date until you can drive; otherwise parents will drive you everywhere, and it's embarrassing. That, and it just screams "WE'RE TOO YOUNG TO BE DATING!" |
