Well, that puts an end to that then and there is good reason why it would be only saturday i am guessing, because there are more people that come on that day, correct?

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - Apr. 16, 2009

Yes.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - ginga - Apr. 16, 2009

man i always wanted a tourney in the uk and now while im in ca their is one. shame you guys have fun though

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - Apr. 16, 2009

Don't fret, there are tournaments in CA too! At the same time even. Grin (CA means Canada, right? >.>)

Also, if Spinoff is only on Saturday, does that mean you can't come dieddead? Also, is there anyone who will be hanging around Sunday anyways (with beyblades)?

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Pich - Apr. 16, 2009

Yeah. Ginga, you know about BWR, right?

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - theflightyellz - Apr. 16, 2009

So there's nothing at all on the Sunday?
Well, unless you want to blade for a bit Rocky?
Great.. Looks like I completely miss Spinoff then.. How comes the dates for it are 23rd - 24th May 2009 at the beginning of the thread?
Kinda pissed now tbh..

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

I don't mind coming up for some battles on Sunday. Some others might too. But can you really not make Saturday at all? Although it was a little ambiguous about which days it would be on I think most people were going to come for Saturday and kinda assumed little would be happening on Sunday............

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Zander Soulwind - Apr. 17, 2009

The only thing I can see that might go wrong is that word might get round from the saturday event which might make it that people will come on Sunday to take part but it won't be there which would be a problem if this is the case.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - theflightyellz - Apr. 17, 2009

I really can't make the Saturday, I've got work.
Even if I could get off work, I'd have to get a Saturday ticket, along with train travel to and from London, which is about £16.
So yeah, and then I'd have the pay that again for the Sunday.
Just isn't an option really Unhappy

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Blitz - Apr. 17, 2009

I'll be there Sunday (with my beyblades) I'll bring the MFB Attack Stadium along with me too.

Oh come on, did you expect us to host an event two days in a row? It says 23-24 because we were unsure of the date. If you can't book a day off work, that's nobody else's problem and you have no right to be pissed off. Most major events of a convention occur on the Saturday ... we want to get the most people we can, so we're doing it on Saturday. If you want to meet up for Beyblade on Sunday, you can do it. We don't have any obligation to run another event for you.

God damn I am getting really sick of all the whining on this board. We're doing the best we can to accommodate everyone and we work hard and put our money into this and are met with some horrible, ungrateful attitudes. Enough.

It's turning into OtC again, where I'm beginning to wonder why the hell we bother.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - theflightyellz - Apr. 17, 2009

Firstly, I wasn't pissed AT anyone, I was pissed because I obviously chose the wrong day to attend the expo, you simply made the assumption that I was annoyed at those running the event.

Sorry if this seemed implied by the previous post, but that was not my intention.

Brad, I get that you'd be massively upset and aggitated by having hard work thrown back at you, and no, I didn't expect a full tournament to be held for 2 days consecutively, but I thought might at least be a few stadiums and free battles on both days, since both dates were put down.

People will always be ungrateful at times since people don't always consider the full implications of their words, or the amount of work that goes in behind the scenes, and you can't expect people to remember that all the time.

Everyone has their bad days, everyone has carp moments.

We're all human believe it or not.

How are we in control of when people show up for free battling? You should've known that the main event would be on the Saturday, or could have at least asked before drawing that conclusion yourself.

So try considering the implications of your word, try remembering that literally countless hours of work have gone into this project. You're not stupid, you're fully capable of understanding what you're saying, so take some responsibility for it instead of making excuses.

Please don't talk to me like I'm an idiot.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - theflightyellz - Apr. 17, 2009

Sorry Brad.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Giga - Apr. 17, 2009

I think that was a bit harsh. I can see all of his points. For family issues, or worry's. He can do what he feels like, and if he brings some stadiums along then he can get people to A) Join the site. Or B) Free battle for points.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Raykon - Apr. 17, 2009

Sorry if this has been said or anything but is someone going to film bits of the tournament? I really wanna see this!

I already knew this, so that is why I am not complaining but then I have nothing to complain about, I would even help in anyway I can. Also, this event would only be done 1-2 times a year or not even that so, no one should be whining, I can understand if you can't make it on that day but in the end that is the way it goes. Also, for the next one I will try to pay for some of the event for you, make it easier for you and the others that put some much effort into this.

So, Thank you everyone that worked to make this happen!

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Ash - Apr. 17, 2009

IF everyones gonna argue like this - IM NOT COMING. Simple as that. Smile

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - Apr. 17, 2009

I'll blade with you Rocky and dieddead.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Ash - Apr. 17, 2009

So your coming on sunday?

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - cutewolfsam - Apr. 17, 2009

Yeah i'm going on both days , with Rocky i think.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

Sam I can take you on Sunday but it might be easier if you and Harry go with Joanne, Jonathan or Caroline on the Saturday. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing that day (yes I'm still coming I'm not bailing now ^^; ).

And wow, I can see both sides and all. Let's just leave it at that. I think everyone's a bit stressed out.
Brad, we appreciate everything you do for this site and I can imagine you're pretty annoyed lately with all the spammers and numerous other things but chin up, okay? Look at all the good members who love it here. Think about the new releases that are gonna be awesome. Smile. Joyful_3
Dieddead, it's a shame you can't come on Saturday but we'll do what we can with the situation. Anyone coming who can make Sunday? Or possibly was thinking of going Sunday anyways? If we can get nine people down then great! If not, we'll just have some free battles. There should be future tourneys anyways.

Giga, do you know if you can come yet? Maybe Sunday instead? We'd love for you to be there.

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - Ash - Apr. 17, 2009

Now Im tempted to come sunday aswell XD

RE: Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - theflightyellz - Apr. 17, 2009

Wow, I never expected people to actually shift their schedules.
To everyone involved with this, I'm sorry again about last night,
It was late, and I was tired leading to an off the cuff remark, that got blown out of proportion.
I can try and bring my attack stadium on the Sunday if anybody wants to battle, but it's my fault, I should have realized it'd all be going on Saturday.
