I think it's those semi moving red spikes which are more like wobbly teeth.

This is exactly the gimmick. Honestly seems silly to have contact points that just move out of the way. At least God Valkyrie had something to make that movement useful somehow with the spring gimmick, but this just has sadness. Really, really beautifully designed sadness perhaps, but still sadness.
