"Miles, Cloud, where are you guys???" Devin yelled. Both of them came from the back of the plane.

"There you are!" He said. "What were you guys doing?"

"Oh, um...y'know, just talking about stuff..." Miles said, hesitating...

"Hmmmm....something wrong, guys?" Devin asked

"No, not at all..." Cloud said calmly...

"Alright then..." Devin replied, "Get ready to land. We're almost in the Samoa!"

With in a few minutes, the plane landed. They got off and walked down the terminal. They spotted the Samoans in no time.

The Samoans were wearing gray sleeveless shirts, and brown, somewhat ripped up pants... The team led the four friends outside. The four friends caught a glimpse of a bright, beautiful view of the ocean right beside them...

"Wow! This place is beautiful!" Bri remarked...

"I'll say!" Miles added, "I's definitely visit again!!"

The two teams got into the vehicle and left for the coliseum.

"Thank you for saying all of that stuff about our island." One of the boys said, "It's greatly appreciated!!"

"Your very welcome!" Miles replied. "Allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm Miles Serge, and this is my Pegasis. That's Devin, and he uses Corona. That's Cloud, and he uses Orojya. Lastly, that's our sub, Bri, and she uses L-Drago."

"Nice to meet you! My first name is quite hard to say, so just call me Tambai. That's my nickname. I use MF. Libra DF145BS. That's Devonte Westbrook. He uses Basalt Aquario 230RB. That's my brother, Kumiha. He uses MF Aries 125D, and lastly that's our sub Tyshaun Marawa. He uses Poison Wolf 145FS. He's new to blading."

The two teams pulled up to the coliseum and entered. The roof was down, shining sunlight on the crowd. The Samoan crowd was holding up US flags and cheering for both sides as the teams entered. The DJ entered and was prepared to speak.

"Welcome, everyone, to our match between the East Coast US and Samoa!!! Let's this this started, shall we? Captains, who's sitting out?"

"Bri Crawford..." Miles said, and she stepped back...

"Tyshaun will sit out for us..." Tambai said, and Tyshaun stepped back...

"Alright then!" said the DJ, "Who will battle first?"

"Cloud Starcutter!" Miles said.

"Kumiha!" Tambai said.

"Alright!" DJ announced, "Our first battle is between Cloud and Kumiha!!"

Both bladers walked up to the coliseum. Cloud readied Orojya, while Kumiha readied Aries.

"Alright bladers, on my count! 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Orojya and Aries hit the stadium and both started circling

"Special Move, Aries!! Stampede Tackle!!!" Kumiha immediately yelled.

Aries started charging several times towards Orojya. Orojya was able to dodge all of the attacks except one, and the one sent Orojya sliding into the barrier. Aries kept stampeding until Cloud came up with an idea.

Orojya moved to one of the gaps and stood still. Aries charged.

"NOW!" Cloud yelled.

Orojya dodged at the last second, and Aries flew up into the air.

"Let's finish him! Special Move, Orojya Spear!!!"

Orojya took its Spear form and charged upwards to Aries. A Direct hit. The shot threw Aries up into the DJ's hands.

The crowd, impressed, clapped and cheered for Cloud...

"Wow! Now that's a first for Samoa!! Cloud wins, sending the beyblade all the way up here!!" DJ yelled.

Cloud ran back to his team and high-fived all of his team mates.

"Alright, so our next Battle is Devin VS Devonte!!" DJ announced.

As he walked to the stadium, Devin thought. "Devonte's bey is similar to R-Dev's Impaler, only with an RB and a different Clear Wheel. I need to watch out. He might use similar tactics..."

With that, he attached Corona to his launcher, and readied for launch.

"Alright bladers! 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Corona and Aquario landed right into each other, and a big clash ensued.

Miles then froze. It was then that he realized that this battle might a have a similar result from the past...

Corona started circling Aquario, who was now stationary after their first clash.

"Go Corona, smash him!!" Devin exclaimed.

Corona tackled into Aquario, but Aquario held its ground...

"Just try and stay still, Aquario! We'll wear him out!" Devonte yelled.

After many more attenpts, Corona was finally wiggling Aquartio unstable...

"Dang, he shook Aquario loose..." Devonte mumbled...

"Now, let's do this!! Corona, Dazzling Crown!!!"

Corona jumped and landed a perfect hit. A dust cloud formed. Everyone was looking to spot the beys. When the dust cleared, they saw Corona spinning, and Aquario...also spinning!

"What the?" Devin said. "You stood up to that?!"

"Yep..." replied Devonte. "I've been training Aquario to do that. Now Aquario, Special Move, Tsunami Tirade!!!"

A giant wave erupted from Aquario, and engulfed Corona and Devin in the waves.

"Devin!!!" Miles yelled, watching helplessly. A tear came to his eye when he spotted Devin knocked out on the sandy floor.

"No..." Miles said to himself...

Then his hopes rose when he looked and spotted Corona still spinning as strong as it was when it started.

"It's still spinning??" Miles said, surprised, "But...but..."

Then Devin opened his eyes, pulled back, and in one swing of the body, got back to his feet...

The crowd erupted in surprise as Devin walked back up to the stadium.

"Come on, Corona, let's win this!! Special Move! Rainbow Gemstone!!!" Devin yelled...

Corona jumped and the giant rainbow formed. The crowd cheered and admired the Rainbow as Corona slammed right into Aquario and KO'ing it...

"What a marvelous comeback!!" the DJ shouted, "Devin wins the Match!!!"

Devin picked up Corona, shook Devonte's hand, and walked back to his friends. Miles gave him a big hug.

"Thank goodness, Devin..." Miles said in relief. "I thought you were done for after that wave..."

"It'll take a lot more than that to take me down, Miles..." Devin replied, "Now, go out there and show Tambai what you got!!!"

Miles nodded as he and Tambai approached the stadium for the last match. He readied Pegasis, and Tambai readied Libra.

"Alright bladers!" DJ announced. "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Pegasis and Libra landed in the stadium. Within an instant, Libra went invisible.

"WHA???" Miles yelled out in astonishment.

Libra was nowhere to be found, but the battle was still going on. What would Libra do in this tricky battle??

Everybody kept their focus on the stadium as Miles and Tambai were battling. Pegasis stood still, while Libra had landed and disappeared.

"Is Libra even in the stadium?" Miles asked.

"Oh, it's in the stadium, alright..." Tambai said. "Here's a hint!"

Then Libra came visible as it struck Pegasis, then it stood still...

"Go Pegasis!!!" Miles commanded. Pegasis did, but once again, Libra went invisible.

"I can't believe this..." Miles growled...

"But it's not cheating either..." Tambai said, 'It's just skill! Now Libra, Special Move! Quicksand Slowdown!!!"

Suddenly, the stadium turned to sand, just like the floor was, and Libra came visible. Pegasis started sinking.

"No Pegasis!" Miles yelled...

"Quite the tricky situation, huh?" said Tambai. "It's my new Special Move!"

Pegasis had to keep hopping up to stop being engulfed in the sand.

Miles was thinking to himself. "This is just unfair! Pegasis is sinking, I can barely move, and even if I can move, Libra turns invisible again. There's no way I can win!!!" Miles hung his head down in shame...

"Hey why you doing that??" Devin yelled from the sideline. "Don't hang your head, man! This battle ain't done yet!!"

"Come on, Miles! You and Pegasis have been in worse situations." Bri added, "What makes you think you can't get out of this one..."

"Pegasis. Pegasis. Pegasis..." Cloud started chanting, then Bri and Devin joined in. Then in mere moments several members of the crowd were chanting along. "Pegasis" was ringing through the coliseum. The sand started shaking, and becoming more solid...

"They're right!!" Miles thought, "I can do this!!"

Then he shouted. "I CAN WIN!!!" With those words, Pegasis bursted out of the sand, and the sandy stadium returned solid

"AH! That didn't stop you? Well, time to revert back to this!" Tambai said, and Libra went back to invisible. "Now what are you gonna do?" he asked Miles...

Miles closed his eyes. The crowd's chants quieted and everything except Pegasis disappeared from view, turning into a pitch black area. He then noticed Libra charge from the right.

"On the right!" Miles yelled, eyes still closed. Pegasis leaned to the right, and countered Libra's attack!

"Agh! How did you?" Tambai said in shock...

Libra tried to attack once again, this time from the left...

"Attack the left side!" Miles commanded, and once again, Pegasis countered Libra!

"Uh oh..." Tambai said, and Libra started running.

"Libra's running away! After him Pegasis!!!" Miles yelled, and Pegasis charged after Libra, hitting him every single time and making Libra turn visible.

Miles opened his eyes to find a destabilized Libra.

"Now Pegasis! Wing Starbreaker!!" Miles yelled.

Pegasis hopped into the air and landed a direct hit on Libra. Libra then flew out of the stadium. Miles had won.

The crowd surged into cheers and applaud at the sight of the win.

"What an amazing battle!!!" DJ announced. "Miles found a way around ALL of Tambai's move to come out on top!! USA wins, 3-0!!"

Miles picked up Pegasis, Picked up Libra and walked over to Tambai, his head hung in despair. Miles simply put Libra in Tambai's hands and whispered, "That was my favorite battle...", then he walked away.

DJ came down with a mic. "Miles, what an amazing comeback!!! You did an amazing job!! How was that battle, and is this one of the hardest teams you face so far?"

"Do doubt that it is one of the hardest, that's for sure..." Miles started, "But that battle with Tambai was just ruthless. I just couldn't believe that his bey would be able to do so many different tricks like that. He had me stumped for most of the battle!!!"

"Thank you, Miles." DJ said. "Congrats to the US team, and wish them luck as they head to Egypt!!!"

The four friends waved, and left. They got into the vehicle, drove t the airport, and got on their flight.

About halfway through the flight, Miles got a call from Pablo, the Brazilian Captain.

"Cloud..." Miles whispered. "I got one..."

Cloud and Miles both got up and snuck past Bri and Devin, who were both sleeping, to the back of the plane. Miles hesitantly answered the phone and put it on speaker, only to where he and Cloud could hear it.

"Pablo?" He started....

"Miles!! Everyone's right! Russia's bad, REALLY BAD!!! Juan's really hurt!!! He got destroyed by that Diablo guy everyone's talking about!!!"

"What did it look like?"

I didn't see it, but before Juan passed out, He said that the Clear wheel was a deep gray, almost black. And he said he looked up the 4D bottom. It's called X : D, or X-treme Drive. It can switch between XF and S. The reason it might've been moving so crazy is because it was in XF mode!"

"What about the Captain??" Miles asked. "What did he do to you???"

"Nothing actually... He won, nonetheless, but he didn't hurt me, didn't use a Special Move. He didn't even crush Leone at all! Unlike Juan's Escolpio, and--"

Miles and Cloud jolted when they heard a giant smash. it sounded like metal, and smeone falling to the floor. They shudered as a heavy breathing came onto the phone...

"Hello you two..." The Russian voice said...

"YOU!!" Miles said, "WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME?!?!"

"I did not do anything to any of them. I am Vladimir Tasseno, the sub for Russia..."

"Why do you guys want to be the superior country?" Cloud asked...

"The reason, is not to just dictate the world. It is so our two most powerful members, *static* and our Captain, can destroy everyone they'd like. And both of them, are targeting you two, so I'd watch what you do..."

"Why you little..." Miles growled.

"Oh, and one last thing. Cloud...visions..." Then he hung up...

"What does he mean?" Miles said...

"I don't kno--"

Then it hit Cloud. He had another vision. This time, There was Impaler, and a demonic laughing... The last sight was of the poor American blader getting stabbed again, but this time they got a sight of the murderer. The murderer had a purple aura, and was monster-like... Then Cloud snapped out of it...

"Cloud?" Miles asked. "What did you see?"

"Two things. A blader who was...inhumane..." Cloud Paused for a second. "And death...death to the world..."

Miles and Cloud came back to their seats, calm on the outside. On the inside however, they were terrified...

Devin was still asleep, but Bri was awake. Miles got into his seat next to her, quiet...

"Hey Miles!" She said happily. However, she went serious when she noticed him shaking just a little.

"Miles, is everything alright??" she asked...

He didn't answer.

"Aw, come on, Miles. I won't go into anything you don't want me to. Again, is everything okay?"

He hesitated, then he shook his head.

"Is it because of your "Personal" issue?"

He hesitated again, and nodded...

"Is it getting to you?"

Miles stayed still and silent.

"You can tell me, Miles. I care about you, and I want you to feel okay. It's getting to you is it?"

Miles closed his eyes, and a tear ran down his cheek as he nodded slowly.

"Awwww..." she said, frowning, and she hugged him, and he hugged back, crying a little.

After a few minutes, he let go. "Thank you, Bri..." He said quietly. "Thank you very much..."

About an hour later, around 7:30 PM, they landed in Cairo. The four friends walked off and down the terminal. They spotted the team in no time...

"Hey guys!!" Miles said. "Wait, one, two, three... Where's your fourth Member?"

"Our captain's in the hospital..." one of the boys said. "We played Russia first, and he got hurt just a little, so we're postponing our match until tomorrow morning. The Russian Captain really didn't do too much, but he got hurt for being a little too angry..."

"Oh...can we go talk to him?" Cloud asked.

"Sure!" another one of the boys said. "Let us take you there!"

When they walked out, they expected to see a lot of builldings and some sand, which, they did. What the four friends DIDN'T expect, was that it would be 112 degrees outside!

"Oh my god, it's hot!!!" Miles said, fanning himself...

Devin took his thicker shirt off for his thinner one. "I'll say!!!" he said...

" We're so sorry for the heat, guys..." one of the Egyptian boys said again. "We recently got told the forecast was heat around 110 for today... We're really sorry. Come on into the vehicle. It's cooler there..."

"Wow! How do you guys stand that?" Miles said after getting into the vehicle.

"We build a resistance to it over time. Allow us to introduce ourselves. I am member Safiro Mabara. I use Counter Scorpio 145D. This is Estuardo Tut. He uses Thermal Gemios T125SF. Lastly, that's our sub, Ahmir Lasad. He uses Thermal Lacerta WA130HF..."

"Nice to meet you!" Miles said. "I'm Miles Serge, and this is my bey, Pegasis! This is Devin Collins. He uses Corona. Cloud right there uses Orojya, and our sub Bri uses L-Drago..."

As soon as he stopped, they arrived at the hospital. They went in and went to his room.

"We're here to see Raj..." said Ahmir to one of the doctors outside the door...

"Okay then." One of them replied. "Mr. Kitzputa, some people are here for you!"

The two teams walked in...

"Hey Raj! How's it going?" Estuardo said...

"Really good, guys!" He replied. "I get out tomorrow! I'm guessing this is our opposing team?"

"Yep!" Safiro said. "This is sub member Bri, members Cloud and Devin, and the Captain, Miles. Guys, this our captain, Raj Kitzputa!"

"Nice to meet you all!" Raj said. "And this is my bey right here!"

He reached over to the counter beside him and showed his bey. "Jade Gil AD145WD..."

"Cool." Miles said. "Um, guys, can you go to the limo for a sec? Me and Cloud wanna ask Raj something private..."

Devin started. "And what would that b--"

He was interrupted by a punch to the stomach from Bri. "Sure thing, Miles..." she said, all of them except Cloud, Miles, and Raj were in the room.

"So Raj..." Miles started. "We got info about Russia, but they all got injured before they could tell anyone. Maybe you could help?"

"Yes..." Raj said..." I got defeated by someone whose name and Bey I forgot. He really wasn't aggressive like the others, but I got carried away and started yelling at him. That's how I got this..." He pointed to a large bandage on his head. "Anyways, I observed that Diablo bey you guys talked about. I know all of this: Definitely Diablo, Definitely the 4D bottom X : D, and the Clear wheel is a definite grayish-blackish mix..."

But before he could continue, disaster...

All of a sudden, there was a flash, then just as quickly, Miles was on the ground, screaming.

"MILES!" Cloud said.

"Miles, what happened?" Raj said, concerned.

Miles then replied weakly. "I...t-think I just got cut..." He turned over, and there was a bloody knife that had caught a part of the side of his leg... "It hurrrrrrts..."

"Nurse!" Raj yelled, carefully getting up. He, along with Cloud, then laid Miles on the bed. A nurse came in and started tending to the wound, while Cloud picked up the knife...

"There's a letter attached to it..." Cloud said.

"W-What's it say?" Miles asked...

"It's smeared..." He said.

"Here, I'll read it..." Raj said, taking the letter. He then read the letter:



Miles, Cloud...

We have warned you several times to count your blessings and give up. Yet even still, you and your team do not listen to us. Nine teams have fallen to us already. It is only a matter of time.

Since you aren't going to give up in trying to figure it out, I will tell you my bey...

It is Diablo Nemesis X : D. It is a defense type, just like yours...

Also, there is one member on your team I despise, I hate...

Cloud, you have been my hated enemy since we were friends in elementary school. You bladed with me for several years, then you turn your back on me and leave for the USA. How despicable....

You were my favorite Russian partner for eight years, then you quit on me, saying I became evil and wicked. How dare you...

I will make sure you are my opponent when the US faces Russia, and I will convert you back to your aggressive, insane Russian ways, no matter what it takes...

Oh, and one more thing...

Miles, Our captain you've heard of? It is. It is who you think it is. It is R-Dev, and he told me to tell you this:

Raj, Cloud and Miles walked out, Raj and Cloud carrying Miles, all three thinking about the letter.

Devin Ran out to them to see if everything was okay. Miles showed the cut on his leg.

"Ouch! How did that happen?" He asked.

"I really have no idea..." Miles replied.

After all eight of them were in the car, they drove off.

"Well, since both of us are hurt a little..." Raj said. "Keep the match postponed until tomorrow?"

"Yeah..." Miles said. "Agreed..." Bri added.

"Okay then..." Raj said, "You guys can stay at a hotel we reserved for you guys just in case you needed it..."

The vehicle pulled up to the hotel. "Thanks, guys..." Miles said, and the four friends entered the hotel and went to their room...

Once they were in the room, Cloud said to Miles, "Miles, I think, we need to get it over with, and just tell them what's going on..."

"Huh???" Miles said, startled, "W-W-Why???"

"It's only a matter of time, dude..." Cloud said, "They have to find out sooner or later...."

"B-But..."

"What are you guys talking about?" Bri and Devin said in unison.

Miles sighed... "It's just.....uh...it's..."

"C'mon Miles, tell us!" Devin said. "You can tell us man, just let it out!"

Miles screamed. "ALRIGHT!!! The Russian team is trying to rule the world!! They are injuring and hurting all of the other teams to get to us!! R-Dev's evil again and he wants to desperately murder me!!! To make it worse, anther guy with a Diablo Nemesis X : D is demolishing everyone in his path and I'm terrified that maybe nothing will be able to stop them and the entire world will get enslaved by R-Dev and that I will not be able to walk away with my life!!!!!"

Devin and Bri stood quiet, shocked. They turned to Cloud, and he nodded.

Miles then fell to the floor, crying...

"Oh my god...no wonder he's been in so much pain..." Bri said...

"I can't believe what I just heard..." Devin added, "And I can understand how that's hurting him..."

"It was just too much to hold onto..." Miles said, still crying. "But I was also afraid of what you guys would say, and...I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier..."

"It's okay Miles..." Bri said, and she walked up to him and hugged him.

"It's a good thing you told us, now together we can stop them..." Devin added, putting his hand on Mile's shoulder...

"And we'll help you to the very end to defeat them..." Cloud finished

Miles stood up and gave all of his friends a big hug... "Thank you so much guys..." He said. "I feel so much better now..."

"Great..." Bri said. "Now, we better go to bed. It's getting late..."

"Yeah..." Devin replied. Come on, Cloud, let's go...", and Devin and Cloud went to their room...

Miles and Bri climbed into their bed, too...

"I'm very proud, Miles..." she said to him. "It really is a good thing you told us..."

"Thanks, Bri..." he replied back...

"So, we gotta battle tomorrow...."

"Yeah..."

"What are you thinking for that?"

"Hmmm...I'm thinking that I'll start you..."

"Really? I really don't use a special move often. What if they're able to stop my spin-stealing and beat me?"

"Don't say that, Bri. You can do it, no matter what is thrown at you..."

"You think so...?"

"I know so..."

"Thanks, Miles... You're so encouraging... Well, we better go to bed..."

"You're right. I need some rest, and so do you..."

"Oh, but one more thing, Miles..."

"Yeah, Bri?"

She hugged him. "I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that you told us what was going on...."

She then gave him a kiss on the lips. He kissed back...

"Goodnight, Miles..."

"Goodnight, Bri..."

The two hugged each other and together fell into a deep sleep...

The alarm went off by their bed. Miles turned the clock off and got up. He woke to find that Bri wasn't in the bed.

"Bri?" He said, getting up, "Where are you?"

He looked over the bed to find that she fell onto the floor, and was still asleep. Miles couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Bri woke up to his laughing. "What are you laughing at?" she said...

"Look at yourself!" he replied. She noticed she was on the floor, and she began laughing as well. Miles helped her off the floor. "So, how'd that floor feel?" Miles said jokingly.

"Really good, actually!" she replied. "Anyways, we should go ahead and wake the boys up..."

"I'll take care of that..." Miles said, pulling out an air horn from his backpack that he brought with him.

"I know where this is going..." Bri said, covering her ears...

Miles walked up to the closed door and let out a short burst from the air horn. He heard a thump from the room...

"OWWWWWWWWWW!!!" Devin yelled. He opened the door, rubbing his head. Miles and Bri couldn't help but laugh.

"Look at Cloud! He's getting up as if nothing happened!" Bri said, astonished...

"Something happened, alright..." he replied.

Devin then started. "He's used to it because when he was in the barracks--"

"Don't you dare do another War reference!" Cloud said sternly...

"Okay, fine. Anyway, we better get ready..."

A few minutes later, the four friends left the hotel and raced each other to the coliseum.

"Haha, I win!" Cloud said.

"Yeah, well I was pulling weight!" Miles replied, pulling Devin in front of him, who then collapsed in fatigue.

Devin tried to catch his breath on the ground. "Cloud runs fast! Maybe that training at--"

"Dammit, Devin!" Cloud yelled.

The Egyptian team waved the team to the entrance. They walked there, and together the two teams walked out to a giant crowd, bigger than the last ones. About 7,500 fans cheered and yelled, waving Egyptian and US flags. The announcer walked out. He was an elderly man, about the age of sixty, sporting a walking stick, holding a microphone.

"Well everybody, in my thirty years of announcing events, I have never been so eager for an event! Welcome all to the beyblade match between Egypt and the US!!!"

He paused as the crowd cheered.

"Now, let us start! Captains, who will sit out?"

"Cloud will sit out on our side..." Miles replied, and Cloud stepped back.

"Okay then. How about your team, Raj?" the announcer asked.

"We sit out Ahmir Lasad and his Lacerta..." he replied, and Ahmir stepped back...

"Okay then! Who will battle first?"

The Captain's Pointed...

"I see, so Devin and Estuardo, to the stadium!"

Both approached the stadium. Devin readied his Corona, and Estu, as his friends called him, readied Gemios.

"Alright, let's get started!" the announcer said, "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Corona and Gemios landed and immediately started attacking. Gemios attacked first, but missed. Corona then tried to counter, but missed as well. Corona tried again, and landed a hit right on Gemios. Gemios then countered and delivered a return attack. The clashing continued for some time before Estu got bored.

"Go Gemios! Twin Sand Twister!!!" he yelled.

Gemios then swirled up two Sand twisters tah tstarted circling the stadium, forcing Corona to the inside, where Gemios kept combo-ing Corona with attacks.

"Hmmmm...." Devin thought. "I think I can get out of this..."

Corona then dodged Gemios' next attack, and started circling inside the stadium counter-clockwise, opposite of the tornadoes. After several spins, the tornadoes died out.

"Agh, you countered my move!" Estuardo said.

"I did! Now I'm gonna show mine! Corona, Dazzling Crown!!"

Corona flew up into the air and landed right on the edge of Gemios, KO-ing it.

The crowd applauded in satisfaction. "With that, our first winner is Devin!" the announcer said. "Now, our next battlers please!"

Bri and Safiro stepped up to the stadium, both high-fiving their partners. Bri readied L-Drago, while Safiro readied Scorpio...

3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!

L-Drago and Scorpio landed right in the stadium and started circling each other...

"Miles said I can do this..." Bri thought to herself. "...and he's right. It'll take a little bit of work, but I can do this..."

Scorpio was the first to make a move as it charged towards L-Drago. L-Drago leaned and slid out of the way of the attack. Scorpio charged again, and nicked the side of L-Drago, hitting the rubber.

"Keep dodging, L-Drago!" Bri commanded.

"You can do it, Scorpio! You can land a hit!" Safiro yelled.

Scorpio kept charging and charging, but couldn't land one hit on L-Drago.

"Looks like L-Drago's doing a remarkable job at dodging!" the announcer said. "I wonder which way this battle will go..."

"This way!" Safiro yelled. "Scorpio, Special Move! Counter Sting!!!"

A yellow aura rose from Scorpio, and A Scorpion emerged. L-Drago tried to steal spin from Scorpio, but it couldn't do anything.

"Oh no! I can't steal his spin! I can't do anything..." She thought, sadly. Then her hopes rose. "Wait...Maybe if I dodge this...yeah, that'll work!!

"Go, Scorpio!!!" Safiro yelled.

"Dodge, L-Drago!!!" Bri yelled, and at just the right time, L-Drago dodged the Special Move!

"Attack, L-Drago!" Bri commanded.

L-Drago then started strongly attacking Scorpio, forcing it to the edge...

"What a turn of events, everyone!" the announcer said. "Is it all over?"

"Yes it is!" Bri chimed in. "Special Move, Dragoon Fire Rampage!!!"

An Orange, fiery aura rose from L-Drago, and the Dragon emerged and attacked, KO-ing Scorpio.

The crowd applauded in a large cheer. "What a fantastic battle! Bri is the winner!"

Bri picked up her bey and ran to her teammates. She gave Miles a hug.

"Thanks, Miles..." she said. "Now go out there and show them what you got!"

Miles nodded and headed to the center. So was Raj.

"Now, it is time for the final match!!" The announcer said. "Miles and Raj in the final round!!"

Pegasis and Gil were attached to their launchers, and the two were ready....

"Alright bladers, let's go!" the announcer said. "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Pegasis and Gil were ripped into the stadium, and both stood still.

"The battle starts with a standoff..." the announcer said. "What's gonna happen first?"

After a few more seconds, Gil charged. Pegasis dodged it just in time. Gil delivered another attack. This time it was spot on, and it slid Pegasis back a little.

"Hang in there, Pegasis..." Miles said...

"You can do it, Gil..." Raj said....

Gil then ran around the stadium once and landed a good attack on Pegasis. Pegasis was once again knocked back a bit.

"Show em what you got, Pegasis! Special Move, Wing Starbreaker!!!" Miles commanded.

Pegasis flew up and landed right on Gil, who flew into the wall, but was still spinning.

"Wow!" Miles said, shocked. "How'd you stand up to that?"

"Walls. Gotta love em..." Raj remarked. "Now, Gil, Special Move! Water's Shadow!!!"

Jade released a giant wave that drenched Pegasis, but Pegasis withstoodthe attack with only a little space left between Pegasis and KO.

"Charge him, Pegasis!" Miles commanded.

"Attack him head on, Gil!" Raj yelled.

Gil and Pegasis met in the middle and clashed with a lot of force. Neither was able to push the other back!

"Let's do one last Special Move, to see who's the best!!" Miles said.

"Agreed. Let's do it!" Raj replied.

"They're gonna charge at each other with all force!" the announcer yelled. "Who's going to be the strongest?"

"Pegasis, Universal Star Ringer!!!" Miles yelled.

"Gil, Water Dragon of the Jade!!!" Raj yelled.

The two beys clashed as the blue and Purple aura's swirled, and a giant explosion knocked the two bladers backward, off their feet.

The crowd looked to see who was the victor.

"Why, here they are!" the announcer said, pointing in front of his stand.

The announcer picked up both Pegasis and Gil and held them up. "The final round ends in a tie!!!"

The crowd surged into a loud cheer, obviously satisfied.

"Ever since I started judging beyblade, I have never had such a thing happen to me!" the announcer said, giving the beys back to their owners. "I am absolutely shocked by the show I have seen today. Despite the tie, the US wins 2-0, but let's congratulate both teams on a well fought battle!!!"

The crowd applauded as the two teams left the stadium.

"Good luck to the US team as they face Italy!!"

The two teams left for the airport. Both teams shook hands, and they left for their flights.

On the flight, Miles was sitting quietly, thinking.

"Hey Miles, what are you doing?" Bri asked from Beside him. "You're awfully quiet..."

"All of the things going on right now..." he replied...

"Bri leaned in and gave him a hug. "I'm sorry you have to go through all of this..." she said.

"I'm even sorry for myself..." he remarked back. "It's just...a lot for me to take..."

"You'll get through it." she said. "I know it..." She kissed him on the cheek. He blushed a little.

"Thanks Bri..." he replied.

"Attention everybody." The pilot said over the intercom. "We will be making our landing into Venice, Italy in a few moments..."

The plane rolled to a stop on the runway, and the four friends walked down the terminal.

"The Italian Captain said that they will meet us at the coliseum." Devin said. "We just have to walk the short distance there..."

When they walked out, they got a great view of the city of Venice.

"Oh my!" Bri said, in awe. "Such a beautiful place!"

"This looks like somewhere I'd live for sure!" Cloud added.

They started walking down the street.

"Hey Devin, you have some money? I wanna get some food..." Miles asked.

"Of course you do..." Devin replied giving him the money. "We'll meet you there..."

"Okay!" Miles said, and he ran down the street and took a left, disappearing from view of his friends.

However, his run was interrupted wen someone stopped him and dragged him into a back alley between two buildings.

"When he finally was able to open his eyes, he was shocked.

"R-DEV?!" he said, in shock. He was stopped from saying more when R-Dev pinned him against the wall and held a knife to his neck.

"Stay still, and I won't make it as bad as I have to..." R-Dev replied, in the deep demonic voice he had in their last battle.

Miles didn't struggle, but he was freaking out. "R-Dev, why are you doing this to me?! Why are you so destined in killing me?!?!"

He didn't answer, but then he got a sudden connection somewhere within R-Dev. He closed his eyes, and who was before him? R-Dev conscious, fighting to escape.

"R-Dev?" Miles said in his mind.

"Miles! You know that R-Dev out there. He's not me, you know that right?!"

"Yes, I do. Y...You're the R-Dev that befriended me, for sure!!!"

"I am, but when I went to Russia, this guy brainwashed me into evil! I've been trying to break out, but I couldn't!! Seeing asll of the countries fail to bring me down...it's horrible..."

"I knew it! You couldn't possibly have lied to me! Something had to have happened, and it did!!"

"What are your teammate's names?"

"Hang on, um....our sub's Vladimir, our member is Antoine, and the other guy...he never told any of us his name..."

Then Miles witnessed as the force in R-Dev's mind started pulling R-Dev back...

"I can't keep hanging on, Miles..." R-Dev's mind said. "I gotta stop talking..." and he disappeared...

Miles opened his eyes to see R-Dev still with the knife, still pinning him to the wall...

"You monster!!!" Miles yelled. "You evil moster, LET ME GO!!!! I want my life, a fighting chance for it! This is unfair, just let me go!!!!" Tears started rolling down his face.

R-Dev was quiet. Then he replied. "Fine, I'll spare you for now, but this doesn't mean you're getting away scratch-free..."

"Wha..." Miles said, confused.

He got the answer when R-Dev landed several brutal punches, either to the stomach or face. R-Dev stopped with one large hit to the chest, knocking the air out of Miles. R-Dev then dropped Miles and disappeared into the air. Miles tried catching his breath, and as he slipped away, he saw four blurry shadows walking towards him.

He woke up in what seemed to be an infirmary, rather than a hospital.

"Owwww...my head..." Miles said.

A boy with a blue shirt, blue scarf, short brown hair, and blue jeans walked in to find him awake.

"Guys, he's awake!" the boy said.

Three other boys, one wearing a yellow C on their shirt, walked into the room.

"W-Who are you guys?" Miles said.

"We're the Italian Team..." one of the boys said.

"You...You guys saved me?" Miles asked.

"Yep." another boy said. "We found you beaten up in an alleyway and carried you here to the infirmary in the coliseum. He knew by the attack pattern that it was definitely one of those Russian guys who did it..."

"Now..." another boy said. "We need to make sure that you know what you know. First, what is your name?"

"Um...Miles Power Serge..."

"How old are you?"

"Uh, 13, 14 on October 16th..."

"What is your Beyblade?"

"Metal Face-Heavy Wing Pegasis BD145CS..."

"Who are your three teammates?"

"Devin Collins, Cloud Starcutter, and Bri Crawford..."

"Who are your rivals?"

"Russia..."

"Okay, you're good...."

A few minutes later, Devin, Cloud, and Bri walked through the door. Cloud pointed Miles out and the three ran to him.

"What the hell happened?" Devin said.

"A Russian, most likely R-Dev, beat up Miles in a back alley." one of the boys said, "We picked him up and carried him here. He was only knocked out for about ten minutes after we got him here. He's okay now..."

"Good. You okay enough to battle, Miles?" Devin asked.

"Yeah, totally." Miles said climbing out of his bed and walking over to him...

"Oh yeah, we forgot to introduce ourselves to you guys! I am the captain, Franco Rousso! I use Gravity Perseus BD145MF. This is Xaviere Benatolli. He uses Flame Byxis 230WD. This is Benito Linguini. He uses Flame Cancer 100SF, and that's our sub, Gragory Masalini, and he uses Rock Bull WD145RF. No need to introduce yourselves. We already all know your names. Anyways, let's go on out to the arena!"

The two teams walked out to a white and blue colored crowd, cheering for both sides.

"This is by far the friendliest country we've been to..." Miles said.

The DJ then walked out and the crowd silenced.

"Welcome everyone, to the beyblade battle between the USA and Italy! Let's get it underway! Captains, who's sitting out?"

"We sit out Gregory..." Franco said, and Gregory stepped back...."

"Hmmmm...We sit out Devin Collins!" Miles replied, and Devin stepped back.

"Alrighty then, interesting choices!" DJ said. "Who's battling first?"

"I will!" Cloud replied, raising his hand.

"As will I!" Benito said, also raising his Hand.

"Okay then, so the first match is Benito and Cloud!" DJ announced.

The crowd applauded as the two got their beys ready.

"Ready!" DJ asked, and the bladers nodded... "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Orojya and Cancer landed and struck directly. "Ah, you're a short one!" Benito said. "It's gonna be harder to use my destabilizer!"

"Destabilizer?" Cloud thought. "What does he mean??"

Cloud's Orojya and Benito's Cancer clashed several times, neither of them budging from their spots.

"Keep attacking, Orojya!" Cloud commanded...

"Block em all, Cancer!" Benito said.

Eventually, Cloud got tired and attacked. "Orojya Spear!" He yelled, and Orojya flew up and struck right on the side of Cancer, but instead of a KO, Cancer started wobbling, hitting the underside of the 90-track beyblade. The hits started slowing Orojya down quick.

"Oh no! I'm almost out!!!" Cloud yelled.

"Go Cancer! Destibilizer Smash!" Benito yelled.

However, before Cancer got up high, Orojya jumped and the two beys slammed into the stadium...

"What the?" Benito said, shocked, and the two beys were wobbling closely. "It's gonna be down to the wire!" Dj said...

Then, Cancer stopped, with Orojya stopping one spin later. Cloud had won.

The crowd, surprised, applauded for Cloud. Cloud picked up Orojya and walked back to his team.

"Next up, Bri VS Xaviere!!" DJ announced, and the two walked to the stadium. Bri attached L-Drago, and Xaviere prepared Byxis...

3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!

L-Drago and Byxis landed right into the stadium. L-Drago the went into spin-stealing, but Bri noticed that Byxis lost no spin when it was touched.

"How are you not losing spin?" she said, confused.

Xaviere laughed. "Silly girl! Spin-stealing never works on 230!!"

Bri gasped. Her best and most effective strategy was useless. She had to try something different. She then used head on attacking, more effective but still didn't budge Byxis.

"Byxis, Special Move!!! Destiny Needle!!!" Xaviere yelled.

A giant compass needle took over the stadium. The needle started spinning, Chasing L-Drago.

"Oh no! It's gonna wipe me out!" Bri thought. "Maybe if..."

She then moved L-Drago to the farthest edge and avoided the giant swipe.

"Argh! Missed it!" Xaviere yelled.

"That worked! Now, how do I take it down?" Bri wondered. "Attacking head on and spin-stealing won't work...hmmmm....I got it!!" "Attack from above, L-Drago!" She yelled.

L-Drago then hopped and landed an atack on Byxis, which made it start wobbling.

"Ah! Dodge them, Byxis!" Xaviere yelled, but no matter what, L-Drago kept landing the aerial attacks.

"Now, L-Drago, Special Move! Rushing Dragon Blaze!!!" Bri shouted, and a fiery red aura formed around L-Drago. It charged with mighty force, and Byxis was simply flung out of the stadium.

The crowd cheered and clapped for Bri. "That was quite the show!!" DJ said. "Bri wins the Second Round, but who win's the final? Let's find out!! Miles and Franco, to the center!!!"

Miles and Franco walked to the center. Miles attached Pegasis, and Franco attached Perseus.

3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!

Pegasis struck Perseus right on, but unlike he was used to, Perseus did not slide back from Recoil...

"Huh?" he thought. "If that's what happens on a strike like that, who knows what'll happen in battle..."
