*Sigh*Kids today putting pressure on others.Even if he is 14-16 and has not had he's first kiss is still fine.Unless you're saying you must kiss someone by 13 for social status?Sounds pretty dumb to me Speechless

I'm about to be 14, and guess what? Haven't had my first kiss. Does it really matter?

This comment made me fear for the children of the future.

Not really. It'll take time, though.

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Wizard - Sep. 04, 2011

So, I had a great time on my date on Friday. Smile After school we went to library, and just sat at a table chatting, and watching videos on her phone for 2 hours. Then, the library closed at 5, so we waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes until her mom got there. During that 30 minutes, we talked, and shared our 2nd kiss. But of course, we were still kinda nervous about it. But not as much as the first time. XD But, we're still losers who were nervous about it. Tongue_out Then, her mom got there around 5:30 and we went to go get some pizza. After that, we walked around main street in Newark DE for a while, and her mom went home while we went bowling for 2 hours. We both sucked pretty badly at bowling. XD But, we still had fun. Oh, and we went to Rita's after that. Joyful_2

All in all, it was a great day for me. After all, getting to spend a day with my girlfriend, sharing our second kiss, and just having a good time, I honestly can't think of a better way to spend the day. Joyful_2 Now I'm just hoping that we aren't super nervous when we have our next kiss. XD

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Twilight4D - Sep. 04, 2011

I haven't had my real first kiss. I did one as a dare, but it was on the cheek and it does not really count I'm guessing.
But anyways to the point...
I like this boy at my school. I've liked him for a year now and now it's getting to me! I want to ask him out, but I don't know how to approach it. We are good friends but I'm not sure if I should ruin that with a relationship. I could text him but I'm also to scared to even text him -___-. My love life is a mess..

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Wizard - Sep. 04, 2011

Just tell him you like him. The worst that could happen is that he doesn't like you back, it's not the end of the world. (But that would be kinda awesome) Tell him you like him. If he doesn't like you, then he just isn't good enough for you. It's that simple. You just gotta build up the courage and get the ball rolling. If he likes you back, you should be fine.

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - th!nk - Sep. 04, 2011

You're a girl, he's a guy. To be honest, he will a) probably say yes and b) if not it wouldn't really ruin the friendship tbh.
Just text him a bit and stuff. Nothing more to say than "Just Do It". I mean, if you're good friends, there's absolutely no risk texting him, that's normal.

That said, when you ask him out do it in person, it's usually more effective.

My advice would be ask him out face to face. Like what th!nk said, it'll be more effective doing it that way. Also, push yourself to try and text him. Once you do it you will keep texting each other and it will become a habit.

For me, I've already had my first kiss XD. It can't be bad if you 13-16 and still haven't had your first kiss yet, but in my opinion you have to before 17 years old.

You kiss too early, the bus blows up. You kiss to late, the bus blows up.
If you don't do it immediately when you are 17, the bus blows up.

All of your guy friends are secretly crushing on you. If they aren't now, they will be when you turn 17/18. As long as you aren't an idiot and you're not a slob about your appearance, but you're not high maintenance either, you're good.

Sources: Personal experience (unfortunately), the internet

And don't worry about your first kiss. Geeze, hold back on any of that for as long as you can. I didn't get my first kiss until I was 15 and it was in a different country.

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - .:J:. - Sep. 04, 2011

hail deikalo, she has personal experiences! also i don't understand the whole, you have to kiss when youre this age! or people making fun of you if you haven't gone out yet... i'm 12, i have a girlfriend but before people ued to mock the fact I hadn't had a girlfriend

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Kai-V - Sep. 04, 2011

So all "guy friends" get a crush if they have a "girl friend" ... ?

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Deikailo - Sep. 04, 2011

As you get older, everyone will regret doing this at such a young age.

Guys respect girls a lot more when they start late (or better - haven't dabbled in any of this at all!) than a girl who experimented too young because let's face it, you guys who are under the age of 14-15 are mostly dating for the sake of dating and have no intentions of spending the rest of your life with that person. If you think otherwise, you're kidding yourself.

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - .:J:. - Sep. 04, 2011

not me, thats why I havent gone out before her, because I didn't see the point in going out with someone you don't like...

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - KidTala - Sep. 05, 2011

I understand what Dei's saying. Some people in my school that are my age just go out with people so they can get a status. I don't do that. Whenever I go out with someone I always hope that I stay with them forever.

Dude, you're 13 years old. Very rarely is anyone serious at that age. For the fact that you said "whenever I got out with someone" as in, you're saying you've been out with a few people, shows that you don't understand how a relationship should work. By age 13, I wouldn't expect a kid to have been in a relationship let along a few.

You guys are kids. Be kids. You guys should be discovering yourselves, not someone else. For Pete's sake, work out becoming a strong, self-sufficient human being first and being so secure and confident in yourself that you don't need a girl (or boy) to define your existence.

Ugh.

Exactly! i am sad that im a preteen, because i wish i could stay a kid forever! but i lived a good child hood so far. when i was 5, i played outside with friends, and simple toys. At least i didn't go around with a girlfriend ,facebook, and cell phone, like MOST kids in my old elementary school did. im not exaggerating. most small children did have girlfriends, and facebooks at my school. kids should spend their childhood having fun and finding what interests them, NOT wasting it with a relationship. now of course, when the RIGHT time comes, then you should start trying to find someone to spend your life with. When i went to middle school, there was so much drama with girls getting dumped and getting in to arguments, and peer pressure, it drove me insane.i was sick of it so now, for the seventh grade+ i go to an online school.but for the short period of time I did go to a middle school, i always got made fun of for not having a girlfriend. but did that bother me? no. because i know that in thirty years, im going to be laughing my butt off when the so-called "popular" kids ,who date early, and try to look cool by smoking or drinking , are going to be working for me =)

RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Raigeko13 - Sep. 05, 2011

>Spending childhood having fun with what they like doing
Spanx, beyblade, Pokemon, YGO!, ect.

Anyways, I really don't date that much. Why? Well, most of the girls at my school are just uptight and way too high maintenance for me. I don't date to date, but I want to find the right "one." But at my age, that's basically impossible, amirite? I do have a crush on a couple girls at my school though, one of them being one of my best friends since Kindergarden lol. I just haven't asked her out yet because I'm afraid it would ruin our friendship XD

More specifically, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock on a runaway.
