What is the difference in preformance between each side when used with a bey? (side facing up) RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - xXBlueHoodXx - Jan. 02, 2012 How do I improve my Ray Horogium 100F? It has great smash and has not failed me yet, but I want to make it better. Suggestions? RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Dracomageat - Jan. 02, 2012 leon: I've always wondered that myself, since indent up should, in theory, lower the center of gravity of the bey, improving its balance but, in practice, I've never seen any difference. @Hood: That should go in "build me a combo" but honestly, I doubt you'll get a good answer since Ray Horogium 100 F is a very unconventional choice of beyblade. And now my question: I have a combo (I won't say what 'cause you'll laugh) that can both KO and OS (via destabalisation) a wide variety of MWs on MF __ Bull 230 ES/WD/EWD and, with a very precise launch, win in the way of my choosing consistently. Is this enough to assume that it will perform well vs uncustomised Phantom Orion? Anyone who "laughs" at you is just being rude, and honestly no one will really do that. if you are using a bad wheel, some may disregard your combo, but without naming the wheel we cannot give you any real helpful advice. Could you explain? Indent at the top would mean that the majority of the weight disk metal was at the bottom, thus lowering the position of the weight slightly within the bey when compared to indent at the bottom. The wheels I've been testing against (on the 230 combo) are Burn (both molds) due to similar design to Phantom, Earth due to similar function and greater destabalisation and KO resistance than Burn, Flame due to its reduced outer surface area and Blitz (both modes) due to similar weight to Phantom. There may have been others too. As for what my combo is, it's Basalt Gill M145 Q. Feel free to laugh now. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - LeonTempest - Jan. 02, 2012 Ah I see thanks. =D I will keep that in mind when making defense combos The theory behind your combo isnt bad. However if you are trying to create what I tested and refered to as a "Falling Tower combo" then i am afraid it will not work. I requested that ___Basalt 230S be tested to see if Basalt being thrown off balance could actualy allow a form of high powered downward smash. Sadly after Shabalabadoo tested it for me it didnt really work because the weight of Basalt would bring down the combo too quicly once it lost balance, and because it was on 230, the basalt wheel easily made contatct with the stadium floor and lost. Your theory is similar. You probobly believe that putting Basalt on something irratic like M145Q would be somewhat useful. I am sorry to say but that probobly wont be the case. ES wasnt a good choice for your opponent combo, which i assume you used to test this initialy. Basalt will be too heavy and lose. The weight combined with the F part of ther Q tip will lead to it having almost no stamina or grip to the stadium as well, even if you launch it in its F mode, it wi]ont be an effective combo. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - xXBlueHoodXx - Jan. 02, 2012 leon & Draco, Thx I'll do that RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Dracomageat - Jan. 02, 2012 While I can see the reasons for your dismissal, my results seem to contradict it. Not one of my Basalt Bull 230 WB beating combos (or the combos built to beat them) stands a chance against it and, as said, the 230 combos do atleast as poorly. EDIT: I cut the long explanation since this topic doesn't really warrant it, suffice to say the perfomance of this bey is very launch dependant. The question was, if the Basalt combo beats all the afformentioned variation on the 230 combo, does that mean it would be good against Phantom Orion? RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - LeonTempest - Jan. 02, 2012 Be this true or not, at this point I would highly recomend copying that entire last post, and create a new thread in the beyblade customizations forum about this combo/theory of ypurs. Just make sure to reintroduce the concept/premise of it, and then see if oter people get similar results. You may want to do formal testing on this 1st though, otherwise it will be dismissed. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Dracomageat - Jan. 02, 2012 Formal testing requires a BB-10 which is currently outside my grasp due to my family's credit card situation preventing online purchases. Also, the idea that anyone else will be able to launch exactly like me seems absurd so I doubt anyone will get results that similar. I'd have to do video testing to prove that such results were possible and before that I'd have to practice no end to get the perfect launch consistently enough for it to look good on camera. And then I'd need a new Q tip of course since it wears quite a lot. I will more than likely do something like that with this combo eventually but I do not currently have the means to. Were the tournament in my hometown actually happening, I'd show it off there for sure but that's looking more than a little unlikely TBH. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - xSora10 - Jan. 02, 2012 Another question about aesthetics. Is there an aesthetic difference between Hasbro's and Takaratomy's BD145? And is there a way or a guide as to how to notice or detect aesthetic differences between Hasbro's and Takaratomy's parts? RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - NightWolf7919 - Jan. 02, 2012 I've seen one in person, and no there is no noticeable mold difference. As for a guide, I doubt there is one for detecting mold differences, you just have to spot them for yourself, no trick to it.
