RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Benjohadi - Jan. 10, 2012 edited my recent post to more understandable one..XD haha...i would try Uriel tip for attack when i got some time later... any idea on what to test? RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 10, 2012 It's basically the same as Dragoon V's tip, aka not very good. The metal weight in the bottom of it would also act to anchor it somewhat. The only use I've found for the tip is a heavy defense combo that really should be illegal, as it uses 6 balls in Fortress base (note the wiki article mentioned two ways of doing this over time, and neither of them actually work, firstly, the pockets only fit one set of metal balls inside them, secondly, two of the holes in the base are covered by parts of ANY sg. There is one way to do it but it makes launching slightly difficult and is less legitimate than the ol' metal ball in the HMC. Honestly, I'd limit it to two balls, 4 at a stretch. But I digress, the combo basically used Fortress Base, Uriel's tip and an HMC. The huge weight made it hard to do anything to, but it was still dumb and illegal and easily outspun (though not as easily as you'd think). Test against top-tier weight based defense AR: Tiger Defenser WD: Wide Defense SG: Neo Right HMC BB: SG Metal Ball (4 Balls) or if you can't do that, a good compact. That said, Dragoon V's base is pretty fragile. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Janstarblast - Jan. 14, 2012 The Rapid Eagle, Driger G(recolor edition), Draciel G(recolor edition) and Dragoon G(recolor edition) alterations should be added? Or are we finding more people to confirm this? RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 14, 2012 Thanks Benjo, I need to update it but forgot to bring the info with me on holiday! By the way, go check out my dragoon gt rewrite if you have time! jan: will be doing so. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jan. 15, 2012 After realising even the most fervent plastic lovers (me included) don't have any idea what the majority of the stadiums from the plastic series look like I dragged some photos up from some forgotten sites. I'm doing this here since it isn't appropriate for a wiki article since i've got no other info that pics. Here we go: A-26 Beystadium Attack Type: http://www.tisinc99.com/beyh26beyatt.html A-38 Beystadium Ultimate: http://www.tisinc99.com/beyh38beyuls.html A-44 Beystadium Magne Type: http://www.tisinc99.com/beya44magsta.html A-84 Beystadium Wide Attack Type: http://www.tisinc99.com/beawibeystat.html A-93 Tornado Attack: http://plamoya.com/en/bey-stadium-a93-tornado-p-18087.html?cPath=1015 A-107 Beystadium Super Double Size type: http://plamoya.com/en/a107-bey-stadium-super-w-size-type-p-18082.html?cPath=1015 RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - bulbasup - Jan. 15, 2012 i hav got 2 stadiums, hasbro plastic gen if you want i can take photos and post them here if u want and they are both different RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jan. 15, 2012 Sorry but I couldn't care less about hasbro stadiums since they're all basically the same and the they're not hard to find. Not anywhere as near as Takara's ones' RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 15, 2012 I don't know about photo's, but I would like a list of Hasbro stadia from plastics... Thanks for the reference, ultrablader, should be helpful. Are you able to find pics of the hms era stadia, if you haven't already? Would be useful for making sure things aren't other stadiums or whatever. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jan. 15, 2012 There were only two stadiums for the HMS period which are Tornado Balance and Tornado Balance Type S. I've got pics of those too. I just didn't post them here since this is the plastics thread. The amount of stadiums in the plastic generation puts MFB to shame. Those were just the ones I could find. There were 3 at least in the number series and there were 5 others where I couldn't find pics for too. Also just realised that there's the magnadome stadium which is in the magnadome set which i'm pretty sure I know where to find a pic for. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Dan - Jan. 17, 2012 Yo, what are other peoples opinions on Customize Change Base? It may just be me, but a lot of attack customs have a hard time KO'ing it. Albeit it has balance problems and can be OS'd.. So yeah, others thoughts? RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Hazel - Jan. 17, 2012 I like Customize Change a lot(and zero people should be surprised by this); a lot of my plastics tinkering in my free time has just been with a 10 heavy on a Driger V2, launching things at it and watching the relatively amusing results... it doesn't really seem to lose too much spin when it auto-corrects, but it does wind down pretty quick. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Dan - Jan. 17, 2012 "Auto", assuming it did so by itself. An uncommon trait for a Beyblade.. (excluding Spiral Change Base) But I know what you mean, it just so happens a lot of the time during its correction process, the opposing bey feels like winning so it produces some decent hits depleting much of my poor Customize Change Base's spin. ;( RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Hazel - Jan. 17, 2012 I use it basically exclusively with the Upper Attack SP, though, so most things have usually flipped over or been thrown out by that point... and whatever hasn't/isn't will usually win, haha. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 17, 2012 Dan, what SP are you using? You can get high rpm with compacts using defense ring, and it works really well there. Also it has pretty decent stamina if you customise for that. Both of my ccb's attack abilities leave a lot to be desired. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Hazel - Jan. 17, 2012 CCB is really more of a Customize Sharper than Any Other Sharp Metal Tip Base, although I think I've heard mention of ones that were not as sharp...? I know some people have worn them down a lot to get them to behave like the original Metal Change Base. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 17, 2012 There are many sharper metal tips, did you perhaps make an error there? But yeah, there was apparently a totally sharp mold and also some more aggressive ones. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Hazel - Jan. 17, 2012 It was hyperbole, lol. Mine is really extremely sharp, though... my Metal Sharp Base looks considerably rounder, but I'm not sure if it's an issue of wear. I cannot remember what my MSB looked like eight or nine years ago when I bought it, haha. To clarify, though, there is absolutely no possible angle I can launch my CCB at, with Upper Attack SP attached, to get it behave aggressively without immediate hilarity from basically having to launch it on the SP. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 17, 2012 Ahh, yeah I see what you mean. Customize metal sharp, if mint, is about as sharp, but yeah. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jan. 17, 2012 For anyone that's interested in a lot on YJA I found evidence that there is an orange recolour of Draciel MBD. I've got a pic but I need to upload it to photobucket since I didn't copy down the auction address. Also I love how even though Poseidon started the thread it's basically Th!nk's thread. (Jan. 17, 2012 3:46 AM)Dan Wrote: Yo, what are other peoples opinions on Customize Change Base? I agree that attack types have a hard time KOing it. It's due to the synergy that the AR and the SP's have which creates a good barrier. It's also very round leaving no good point for attack types to aim at. I used this against one at a tourney with quite poor results even though it's supposed to be very good: AR: Triple Wing(Trygle) WD:Wide Defence BB: Metal Flat 2(Gaia Dragoon V) I guess it could be cause it doesn't have a rubber tip but still I was quite surprised that it couldn't knock it out. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 17, 2012 I'm definitely interested, wonder if it's from an early RB, if it's real, or maybe it's along the lines of the ito yokado beys (dark blue Wolborg 2) Yeah, kinda odd how I'm so prominent here, but plastics are basically the most perfect entertainment for me I could ever ask for, and I'm a very passionate (and verbose) person. That means a) I spend a completely unreasonable amount of money on them, b) I spend hours customising and playing with them, and c) absorb information like a shamwow. It's a shame more people don't talk about them as much as I do (Dan is learning, though ), and I'd love to see people like Cye, G, Guardian Odin and so on pop by once in a while, at least so I can pick their brains, but oh well. Oh, and believe me, if it were my decision we'd have at least a separate thread for all plastic and HMS questions, purchase consultation, and combo advice (maybe next plastics remembrance day....) In short: I'm a plastics carp. Yeah, I'm told rubber tips make a mess of driger v2's defense (tried the exact same combo as you with no luck after my tournament btw), while it laughs at metal. But yeah, not only is it round, the upper attack SP, and the rest of the parts for that matter, are really heavy. Yo guys, it would be super duper sweet if someone could verify that dranzer V comes with a shorter magnet in the North MG core (should be a visible gap inside the core, with spacers holding the magnet up), as mine certainly does, and it is the only way it looks consistent height-wise with the product pictures. I need verification though :3 If you are sure yours doesn’t (i.e. are sure you haven’t misplaced the SG and not looked hard enough to find one with the shorter magnet, or sold it somehow or whatever), please list the manufacturer if you can (should be able to find that printed on the base). Also, does Takara Gigars Customise Gear come assembled/can it be taken apart legally (basically without a screwdriver) or whatever? If anyone has SG Bolt Base (Blizzard Orthrus), could they check if a non-neo SG will fit? If you're able to see if Wyborg's SG will fit, that would be cool too :3 Oh, and if anyone is able to see if Wolborg IV's CEW Part on Rock Bison's EG spins freely on Gigars Base and (and I know I'm really pushing it here), Desert Sphinxer's Base, it would be useful as well, as again I can't get them. Think that's everything. There's a couple more I don't have enough info on, but when I pick up my order from the post office on Monday, I will. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 22, 2012 Only realised Kei posted this in the tier list thread early on, never really looked at it, but Zain mentioned to me that Beholder maintained a good database on beyblades. As much as I was aware of that, I never really knew where to look. But yeah anyway, that database: http://web.archive.org/web/20050309194729/http://www.damashii.net/database.html Pretty cool. RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - Benjohadi - Jan. 22, 2012 NIce found th!nk... but pretty bad that some pics were removed i supposed...i were really excited to look at Gigars CG..but the pics cant be seen.. XD RE: Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jan. 22, 2012 Yeah, only a few images were archived I guess. I did find it myself, but Kei beat me to it by a few months, I only realised just before I made that post, hah. Anyway, it's a really nice resource. I think the most reassuring thing is it matches what we currently know about plastics and their uses. There are a couple of minor things I disagree on here and there from my own experience and experimentation (mainly that I found BK's SG+BB better than any other zombie setup in terms of stamina), but yeah, it tells me we're at a state of knowledge that's getting somewhere close to what it once was. Now if only more members from BBD, OtC and so on would come discuss plastics... I recently got a NIB Takara Gigars the Customise Gear does come assembled and you do need a screw driver to take it apart. Also that setup does allow Wolborg IV's CEW to spin freely with Gigars Base. |
