But don't mention that she said that she still liked you. 1. He's just a friend. We don't really hang out, but we've known each other for quite a while. 2. Hopefully not. I wouldn't think so, but I definitely should check and ask. Communication is important in any relationship. Thanks for the advice. Problem is, I still don't know if I can just take her back. Besides, my parents would probably not be OK with it, seeing as how they thought she treated me like total carp. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Glad Hatter - Aug. 21, 2011 Well I personally probably wouldn't date until college anyways, but I can't give you any advice that may lead to a rash decision so I can't tell you exactly what to do if i was in your situation. Alright, that makes sense. Thanks, anyways. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Wizard - Aug. 21, 2011 @Jacksonian and Th!nk - Thanks guys. I'm hoping it goes well. We have a lot in common, and we both really like each other, so this will probably go pretty well for the both of us. Especially since, unlike some guys, I actually know how to treat a lady. Me and Megan are planning for me to go to her house one day soon, and we're gonna blow off a few hours watching anime. XD Sounds like a good day to me. We were supposed to do this today, but I wasn't able to. Perhaps in a week or two. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - JBey - Aug. 21, 2011 Help me. Now. Okay, so, in life, I'm a happy person. I do NOT look it, though. I was sitting around, and some girl comes up to me and asks if I am depressed. And then, before I know it, she loves me. WHY??? JUST WHY??? Is love so ridiculous that it can only be found when u aren't looking for it? I wish I could say: Come back one year ago, and I'll date u. But, I'm not that mean. I can only hold on to things I can't wait to lose, and I lose everything that matters. Is there like, a secret to how to love after u have made a pact w/ urself never to love again? Because, I realized yesterday a VERY scary thing: I can't love, not because I don't want to, but because I'm unable to... RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Glad Hatter - Aug. 21, 2011 Well, I can honestly tell you now that love is the connection of a healthy and well thought out relationship between a man and a woman and-... well the rest comes later. If you could explain your conversation I maybe able to advise you a bit better, you can pm me if it bothers you. Or if you really don't wan to, then just let me know. Something tells me you're implying that I don't know how to treat a lady -.- Have you been talking to my ex lately? Sounds like it! XD RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Glad Hatter - Aug. 21, 2011 Lol, is there a reason for us to consider you not being able to treat a woman? 0.o jk RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Sniper - Aug. 21, 2011 Hey ladies im single. hahaha spam excuse me RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - th!nk - Aug. 21, 2011 (Aug. 21, 2011 3:26 AM)Nano Wrote:(Aug. 21, 2011 2:37 AM)th!nk Wrote: And, for the record, I don't really find kids sharing a bed, even if they're dating, all that odd. Honestly, maybe it's a cultural thing, but I don't see why you guys were so concerned. Sleep in the same bed as =/= sleep with in that sense. @Jacksonian: Maybe I'm just a manwhore but I think calling that a "risk" is a bit, er, uptight. Still, again, what Dei said covers it. And in relation to your later post, there is a difference between belief and being completely and utterly incorrect, and you should be mindful of that. You've basically stated that you believe love is only between people of different genders, which is completely incorrect... Saying you don't mean to discriminate while doing just that only makes it more ridiculous. Bey-Heart: That is definitely not the correct definition of love at all. Some may argue marriage (and be totally wrong), but to say that love is limited to opposite-sex couplings is quite simply disgusting and offensive. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Sparta - Aug. 21, 2011 @Th!nk Wow, dude. You're pretty harsh . My friend just scheduled a tee time for this friday. It's going to be me, him, the girl he like/she likes him, me, and the girl I like/the one that likes my friend. I wrote out this whole confusing circle (Of love) in an earlier post. If you're too lazy: I like (Let's just call them girls #1 and 2, so it's easier to understand) the 1st girl, she likes my friend, who likes the 2nd girl. The 2nd girl is friends with the 1st girl, so they both kinda help each other out. It's a triangle with my friend, and I'm kinda on the outside... RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Glad Hatter - Aug. 21, 2011 @ Th!nk, I do not wish to further a discussion on that topic any farther but we all have our own moral and religious beliefs, just by stating that love can be between two "people" and not between a male and female may also be taken as discrimination or being offensive to others. This is what our world has come to. @ Sparta, that will be interesting no? Try to enjoy your tea time anyways. On to what you said earlier... Frankly, that's what people believe nowadays. That women are property, and that it is a commodity that needs to be protected. XD Men who believe that way are stupid. Not only do they think that those girls are their property, but they also think that what they want, goes. It's disgusting. People like that need to learn some self control, and how to treat a lady. Once again, treat your girlfriend better than you would treat yourself. You think girls like when you act like a total jerk? RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - NoodooSoup - Aug. 22, 2011 Some do, apparently. Not ones with common sense, though. I blame stupid shows like Jersey Shore. There is a reason why America's founding fathers did not want input from 'The people'. They believed that the people were stupid. I completely agree with this. That is, when is comes to the common man. Or, at least most of the people I see in school. This is what our world has come to. It's not discriminating if it's a fact, and I am merely stating a fact, whereas you are saying there is no "LOVE" between two people of the same gender. I'm also not saying it cannot be between two people of different genders, so there's no discrimination there either. If we were discussing marriage it would be opinion based, but we are not. Religion may have some standing were we discussing marriage, but we are not. Unless the theoretical two people of the same gender who love each other are religious, there is no involvement of religion in this matter, and either way, there's certainly no involvement of YOUR religious beliefs, other than me calling you on them because you've decided to hide behind it. If your religion states that two people of the same gender cannot love each other, it's the same as stating black and white people aren't equal in my eyes, hence my somewhat spiky response. I simply find it utterly disgusting that in this day and age someone can say that two people of the same gender cannot FEEL LOVE for one another. You're telling people WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT FEEL, not what they can think or do, BUT WHAT THEY CAN FEEL, and that's completely unacceptable. Sparta: As I said, I find it disgusting that someone believes that, and that I don't think stating it is an opinion is enough for it to be "okay". Heck, it could be my opinion that 2+2=5, and it wouldn't make it true. tl;dr we're talking about love not marriage, so religion has absolutely nothing to do with it.
