RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - SK - Mar. 26, 2008 AnnieDuck Wrote:HOLY carp GUYSexactly my point people should stop caring about "tactics" I mean what the hell? it's a video game -- have fun with it, instead of "over analyzing" imo this whole tactics thing take away the fun of the game RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Roan - Mar. 26, 2008 Silver Kane Wrote:AnnieDuck Wrote:HOLY carp GUYSexactly my point qft That's one of the reasons I don't play this game with most people on the board, because they know like everything about every character and me playing with them feels hopeless because I'll never actually beat them. Therefore its not fun to play. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Ominous - Mar. 26, 2008 I stopped caring about being remotely competitive. Nowadays instead of just sticking to a character, I mix it up - despite how good or bad I might be with whoever I pick. Some people will always over-analyze it, because that is their nature (over-analyzing all things in life), or because they have skewed priorities. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - SexyMichael - Mar. 26, 2008 I usually sandbag when someone isn't very good. I've also been known to do it when I get a lead on one of my roommates, who are pretty good. This results in me losing half the time. lolz The whole tactics debate is hard to approach. As you play the game more, you naturally want to get better and better. Tech rolling, for example, seems like a chore to people who don't do it. But when you pick it up it's like second nature. I know my roommates used to get really frustrated when we first started living together. They hadn't been playing the game that long and really weren't very good. Now that they've been playing a lot they're both great at the game. Practice doesn't really feel like practice when you're having a lot of fun. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Litrid - Mar. 26, 2008 I agree, but I play with 4 main characters, but if I'm in the mood I mix it up. The only real competitive player here is Ichida. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - EverlastingBlader - Mar. 27, 2008 Lol I know Ichida goes to smashforums, I seen him. I hope I can vs him sometime^^. As for playing seriously, That's what C-Gaming does to you. You have fun getting better and learning different techs. This isn't fun for some people and sadly, sometimes, those are the ones who lose against good players. And I know I over over analyze battle situations because I want to win. no one wants to lose. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - mdhvdukshsj - Mar. 27, 2008 i don't like items because i just find it more fun RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Bey Brad - Mar. 27, 2008 i have no problem with competitive gaming (look where we are posting), but i have problems with people being douchebags about it RE: Super Smash Bros. Anyone who's interested in brawling with me, whichever style of play you prefer, just PM me your Friend Codes if you want to brawl. I'll send you mine and we'll coordinate something. I'm available to play anytime after 5PM EST on weekdays, usually. Also, since I play off of my GameBridge, I can record and YouTube any matches, unless anyone has objections. Anyone interested in seeing other matches I've YouTubed can check them out here: http://youtube.com/view_play_list?p=FFF9DD9FD00565CE RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - mdhvdukshsj - Mar. 27, 2008 i just watched some of your videos and you don't seem to be THAT good dude maybe it was the items RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Ichida - Mar. 27, 2008 Artie Wrote:i just watched some of your videos and you don't seem to be THAT good dude Well, which videos you were watching also make the difference. Up until I start using Toon Link, my current main, I was still toying around and learning the new mechanics. I'm still not very good right now, but I'm learning a lot as I fight, and I've managed to pull off some wins that even surprised me. XD RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Alice - Mar. 27, 2008 Do you know what? R.O.B can suck my carp. That event where you have to defeat giant Charizard, DK and Bowser with carp R.O.B is a load of wank. I'm not even going to try and attempt it until I know my patience isn't going to disappear up my carp. Oh and I now love Ike. Falco, Shiek and Ike are my bitches but I like Mario too. And Toon Link. SHUT UP, I FRIGGIN' LOVE THIS GAME >8( RE: Super Smash Bros. I'm making amateur mistakes like rolling into Ike's sword and SDing by dairing offstage, XD. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - KoD PT - Mar. 27, 2008 Dunno if Toon Link is hard to get used to or not, but I've been hearing he's kick carp. RE: Super Smash Bros. Think Link, only a smaller target, more agile, with better jumps, and with a better Up B. Also, Adult Link's Gale Boomerang is pretty crappy in my experience. The gap is way wider than Melee Link and Young Link. The main downside to Toon Link is his knife range. RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Ominous - Mar. 27, 2008 SexyMichael Wrote:Same. I love you, Artie.Artie Wrote:well that makes sense, toon link is a really hard character to be good with RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Kai Hiwatari - Mar. 28, 2008 Toon Link is alright, but I prefer Link just for the more powerful strikes and longer range. |
