RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Mar. 11, 2011 (Mar. 11, 2011 10:48 AM)NightWolf Wrote: I heard a rumor that yugioh went to a set rotation format (kind of like magic) and so now the older cards are obsolete. Is this true? From what I read on the website it looks possible. I interperate this as everything from LOB to the sets they listed but my friend says that the other way around and it is from those sets to the currently released ones. I have not played since the days of E-heroes and Cyberdarks so I have no idea. This is exactly what you said it was -- a rumor, and a false one at that. Konami may have plans to start a format similar to this in the future, but as of this moment they haven't announced anything. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 11, 2011 lol, older Cards aren't obsolete. There are tons that still see the daylight today. Off the top of my head: Mirror Force, Solemn Judgment, Dark Hole and Monster Reborn (thank you, ban list. =P), etc. Some older Cards were so good that they were perma-banned, for now anyway..... RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - fabled red yugi - Mar. 11, 2011 hey gold series 4 been annouced-u get a play mat with it no cards have been reveled RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Killer Beafowl - Mar. 12, 2011 Yes. I love the price of a two pack of Yusei 3 for the price of any other booster. They had Starstrike blast , STOR, and 3d beyond time, plus Jaden yuki? Anways, i bought 4 yusei 3's and got 2 starlight roads plus a ultra justice bringer RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 13, 2011 Emmersblades make all the difference; I can't believe how easy it is to bust out Hyunlei and Barkion now. Anyway, with Emmersblades in my Deck, I've been able to do this: Tourney Report: 2-2 Won against: Blackwings and Ice Barriers Lost against: Fish OTK and Lightsworns (LS guy was darn lucky) RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - meforthewin - Mar. 13, 2011 Please can somebody PM me frog monarch deck RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Mar. 14, 2011 (Mar. 13, 2011 9:06 AM)桃太郎 Wrote: Lost against: Fish OTK and Lightsworns (LS guy was darn lucky) LS is actually a bad match up for X-Sabers. I remember when I was playing LS for YCS Atlanta last format, I practiced against Sabers a lot and it was always a favorable match up for me, which is one of the reasons I decided to take the deck to Atlanta. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Daegor42 - Mar. 14, 2011 Regionals on Saturday. Sigh. My side deck's not done, and I'm missing Solemn Warnings, but whatever. I'm still gonna kick carp and chew bubble gum. And I'm going to be all out of bubble gum. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! You'll do fine. ![]() Make sure and let us know how it goes though! RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - |Joe| - Mar. 14, 2011 My Regionals are next week, so excited even though I also have to work on my Side Deck. However my birthday is the Wednesday before so I'm asking for some cards to help that ![]() RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! I've decided i'm not gonna go, so you can use my Warnings and my Skill Drains if you still need them. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - PlayMadeSimple - Mar. 14, 2011 Damn, all Im missing now is mirror force. Anyone know an alternative to Structure Deck Marik? Boosters are alright. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 14, 2011 I just want to say good luck to Daegor and |Joe| for their Regionals! I expect to see both of you do well with Elemental Heroes (Daegor; I think this is what you're going to run), and Crystal Beasts! =) RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! I ain't afeared of no Six Sams no more. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - |Joe| - Mar. 14, 2011 So far on my Birthday list I have: Solemn Warning, PoD, Malefic Rainbow Dragon, Thunder King Rai-Oh, Gold Sarc x3, and Effect Veiler. What else will i need because I'm stumped, and thanks Momo! I'm having a really good feeling about this ![]() RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 14, 2011 Chain Disappearance for your Side, and maybe even Skill Drain. Bump up Veiler to two, and I think you're good. Think about your Side Deck like I said earlier as well, as Siding out important Cards will be crucial. This is what mine looks like now: 1 Gorz 2 Cyber Dragon - Definitely taking these out soon; I sweep Machines with ease. 2 Thunder King 2 Kinetic Soldier - Very nasty for Samurai players to go against; you can get these very easily from the Machina Mayhem Deck, so you should add this to your list. 2 D.D. Crow - Frog match-ups. 1 Effect Veiler 2 Nobleman of Crossout 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Royal Oppression - I might take this out, too. This hurts me a lot more than it usually hurts the opponent. We'll see. What I want to add: 2 Chain Disappearance, 1 more Effect Veiler, Skill Drain(s). RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Mar. 14, 2011 I wouldn't suggest siding Skill Drain in a Crystal Beast deck... That deck revolves entirely around creature effects, so Skill Drain would probably hurt a lot more than it would help. Momo, when you get the CD's, I would definitely drop the two CyDras for that. Then I would probably drop one D.D. Crow for the other Veiler. Again, I don't think you should be siding Skill Drain though. I used to side Skill Drain in my Blackwings last format specifically FOR the X-Saber match up and it really wrecks that deck. Turns off your Boggarts, Fullhelm Knights, Hyunlei, etc. The only things that really get around it are Emmersblade and Darksoul, and with all of the Royal Decrees and/or Seven Tools floating around this format, I just don't think Skill Drain is viable. It's really not even that good. Yes, it slows down Six Samurai, but they can still play around that. It does almost NOTHING to Gravekeepers (Only turning off Descendent, Assailant and Spy, all of which kind of hurt, but the deck can just play beatdown mode without those effects anyway so it doesn't matter much). Plants can play around it as well; FFS there used to be a Skill Drain Plant deck that was huge a couple formats ago. lol Skill Drain just isn't good right now. Effect Veiler is infinitely better because A.) You can play it from the hand, so it's faster, B.) Your opponent generally won't see it coming since it's played from the hand and doesn't have to be set first to use and C.) It has way more uses, being a level 1 tuner. /end rant on why Skill Drain isn't very good to side for most decks RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - |Joe| - Mar. 14, 2011 Skill Drain would just rape me haha, but thanks I might side in Gorz for the extra power when I need it. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 14, 2011 I needed that rant; it'll save me the space for my Side Deck. Thanks for that Roan! RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Killer Beafowl - Mar. 15, 2011 yess.Dragon estique knight+Dragunity Gae ... idk but its on ther rapper of Hidden arsenal 3+ my cousin gave me a Malefic blue eyes and getting me regular Blue eyes! RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 16, 2011 Man, I can't wait to get some Warnings; I'll try to buy a playset of three, if they ever become unlimited again, but I don't think I'll ever buy more than three as I can always move them from Deck to Deck. Same goes with the other staples. Once I have what I need, I won't have to buy another Set of staples for another Deck; I think it's a good idea to save money by. Anyway, I'm still so pumped about the Lost Sanctuary Deck. I've already placed orders on playsets of Zeradias, Meltiel, Bountiful Artemis, and The Sanctuary in the Sky (I want the holos, not the Commons lol). RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - ThaKingTai - Mar. 16, 2011 Forgive me if this isn't in the right place, but what Syncros and Monster Cards would be best for a Pyro-Based deck? I haven't played since 2nd grade and now am starting to get back into it, so I want to start playing to enter tourneys soon. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 16, 2011 Hm, a Pyro-based archetype that is even remotely good is Flamvell, but still, I wouldn't build them, if you want to get somewhat competitive. Anyway, this is a standard Extra Deck, minus the techs that are specific to another archetype: Ally of Justice Catastor Armory Arm (in some cases) Black Rose Dragon Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier Magical Android Scrap Dragon Stardust Dragon Red Dragon Archfiend Chimeratech Fortress Dragon (if you have Cyber Dragons in your Side) RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Killer Beafowl - Mar. 17, 2011 Are duel terminal cards legal in card play. I want to get a Trishula but don't know if its legal. RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Odin - Mar. 17, 2011 http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay/cardlegality.html Trishula isn't at the moment. Others are, though. And Trishula might be later. |
