RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 10, 2014 Well, thanks Ultra, I'll probably be off on my way then to do it. Anyone with me? EDIT: Can anyone confirm on these ARs for Smash Attack: Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 11, 2014 (Nov. 10, 2014 1:11 PM)RDF3 Wrote: Well, thanks Ultra, I'll probably be off on my way then to do it. Anyone with me?I wouldn't advise anything big with Screw Zeus. The rest yes. Neo Cross Horn is great, but fragile. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 11, 2014 Which one Neo? Dragon Breaker or Saucer? Saucer i'm a bit iffy but Breaker is on both the CC list and the updated Seaborg article (in fact IIRC Dragon Breaker+Screw Zeus+Wide Defense+Neo Right SG (Regular SG Core part)+Defense Grip Base(Attack Mode) was th!nk's main attack combo). I'll note Neo Cross Horn on it's fragility though. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 12, 2014 Breaker. I know that. I have a thread, "SAR compatibility issues" in Plastics section. Read that. Saucer + Screw Zeus actually fits perfectly though. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 12, 2014 Well, I don't own any plastics, but I'm afraid it was more luck than general issue. Th!nk didn't put a mention on Screw Zeus bending upwards when sandwiched between Dragon Breaker's main AR and the WD. I'd wish I can add more HMS Smash Attack but pretty much the only AR that works for Smash in HMS is Slash Upper (and no, Advance Striker is for upper attack, not Smash.) RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 12, 2014 Unless he has the Hasbro Versions (which aren't even different in AR), I'm correct. You have to exert too much force on the SAR. At that point, you're scraping the "Zeus Heads" to bits of Plastic. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 12, 2014 I'd ask th!nk If I could, but with him off the site (until when I'm not sure) it's a bit hard. I'd rather continue this over PM honestly. I'll add these links if you have any doubts about anything (probably some things like Triple Tiger in left spin) http://thinkblargh.wordpress.com/2013/07/05/deputy-sheriff-wolborgs-finest-hour-hyper-aggro-tests-day-4/ http://thinkblargh.wordpress.com/2013/07/06/test-all-the-attack-rings-hyper-aggro-testing-day-5/ http://thinkblargh.wordpress.com/2013/07/07/the-death-of-a-tiger-defenser-hyper-aggro-tests-day-6/ I'll start with Smash Attack since it is what I understand the most, then move on to others. I noticed Smash Attack lacks parts list for anything but ARs. Any objections on adding those? RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 13, 2014 The base is important towards the Beyblade: No objections. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 13, 2014 Don't want to make this thread between me and Neo but it seems only us two have been in the discussion recently (except Kai-V and Ultra after my first post on this thread). -Anyone against adding Panter Claw for a Compact AR? It is a worthy contender of Tiger Defenser IMO. -I'll start my first major move: Fin Tectors on Draciel V2 article. Th!nk said it sucks (less than Whyborg or bumpking [lol] though) because it only adds recoil and breakage issues, without doing anything worthwhile. Anyone can confirm this? RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 13, 2014 (Nov. 13, 2014 2:39 PM)RDF3 Wrote: Don't want to make this thread between me and Neo but it seems only us two have been in the discussion recently (except Kai-V and Ultra after my first post on this thread). Panther Claw is too large for compact; but it is good as a Smash Attack Substitute. Fin Tector is actually carp. It has insane recoil; and has no practical use. Reverse Attack is better, even. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 17, 2014 Neo: Not only that, but all Fin Tectors does is snap in half lol. Put them anywhere they make contact and bang, recoil (and breakage) city. Panther Claw isn't actually big, it's about as big as Tiger Defenser. Try this: Panther Claw+10 Heavy+Neo Right SG HMC+Metal Change Base. That's listed in Beywiki (Flash Leopard is one of the few articles without the incorrect tag, but it's poorly informative tbh). RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 19, 2014 So I figured out the Great Dragon Screw Zeus combo; A. GD+SZ SAR Wide Defense Right Neo SG HMC Metal Flat 2 Heavy enough to withstand recoil, but dish out a ton of damage itself. B. GD+SZ SAR 10 Heavy Right Neo SG HMC Defense Grip (Inverted) Poor stamina, but amazing smash in the first few seconds. (Nov. 17, 2014 9:14 AM)RDF3 Wrote: Neo: It's still larger, with those wide claws. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 19, 2014 Those wide, protruding claws only make it slightly larger, meaning it is still small anyway. As for the combos ,they're quite poor tbh, here's the flaws of those combos: -Great Dragon breaks too easily in right spin, and better used in left spin. GD+SZ works though. -HMC and 10 heavy in combo #1(wat why would you put the central-focused and heavy weight disk for smash attack in plastics when speed matters more, and HMC for attack is only for standard Smash ARs like Triple Wing, Cross Griffon and Triple Tiger and that's only when you can't control the tip.) -Th!nk said flywheel effect and momentum affect a great deal in combo #2, and heavy weight is bad for both, so no-no, sorry, your decision to add weight just makes smash attack weak anyway (they need speed not weight) -SG Metal Flat 2 is not good for Hyper-aggresive Smash ARs like Screw Zeus setups, so stick to standard smash attack (Triple Wing, Cross Griffon, and Triple Tiger in right, while G Upper, Eight Spiker, Cross Spiker and Panther Head in left) if you want to use it. Hyper-aggresive Smash ARs need recoil control, not survival (they have low survival anyway) and SG MF2 only increases survival, not much movement speed (compared to Uriel 2's tip, or Seaborg RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 19, 2014 (Nov. 19, 2014 5:46 AM)RDF3 Wrote: Those wide, protruding claws only make it slightly larger, meaning it is still small anyway.-GD isn't prone to breakage in right? More so on Left, where the SZ points have better potential; and GD spikes aren't reverse attacking. I suppose I'll try left. - Heft is just as important, but I suppose MW/MG could do better. -Typo on my part, actually. I meant Storm Grip (low, but awful endurance); or Cust Grip Base with SP DF (Weight, not obsessive heft though. Also Ten Heavy was meant to be Wide Def as well; the testing notes were scrambled. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 19, 2014 -GD is prone to breaking in right. A user called ShinobuXD broke his when he used it in right spin. -Storm Grip is actually largely over-rated. On something like 10 Heavy and HMC it can barely move, and most of the users back in th!nk's day brought the hammer down on this. Stick to DGB, no other base other than the tip of the golden attack bey Ariel 2 can control recoil as well as that base. -Don't mind the typos though.. -The two combos need a Neo SG with a Normal Core or Regular SG Core Part (from the later # series starting with Driger S and ending with A-40/A-39 (Wolborg 2 or Seaborg 2 I forgot). They need momentum/flywheel effect not weight. Check out th!nk's blog (in his signature) This I can confirm: -Fin Tectors suck, Beywiki says it doesn't (which is obv. wrong). I can change that. -GDV's AR section needs to be updated with th!nks Dragon Breaker+Screw Zeus combo -Panther Claw gets mentioned in the compact article, in the AR section. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - Neo - Nov. 20, 2014 (Nov. 19, 2014 2:38 PM)RDF3 Wrote: -GD is prone to breaking in right. A user called ShinobuXD broke his when he used it in right spin. Let me tell you, Great Dragon isn't prone to breakages in right because one person's broke. Despite the thinness, mine it working extremely well after; give or take, over 300 battles in the last few months. Haven't used CGCB's tip to the best ability yet; but I will try it out w/ GD Screw Zeus. Dragon Breaker, to me, is an illegal combo. No Beyblade would be legal with the SAR how it bends. The stress DB puts on SZ is scary. Even with the right WD to fix the leveling issues of the SAR, your AR is pushed to the point of breaking the SG, as well as the pressure onto Screw Zeus's sides when hit. My guess is th!nk used it so much that the combo so much that SZ's Zeus heads (the reason for it's incompatibility)were wore down so much by DB that his would work more than my NIB beyblades. I don't see any Beyblades where to have the combo be used properly, you'd have to wear down the Plastic SO much. no neo just no RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - RDF3 - Nov. 22, 2014 Well sorry for taking this through but: -Well, a lot of people have broke their Great Dragon ARs over this forum. Even th!nk himself agreed with this. It's only ShinobuXD that I remember at that time -Don't know why yours didn't work but why don't you try getting another Zeus/GDV? It seems only you suffered this problem. Never recalled th!nk using it that much until the heads wore down though. -Assuming you meant SG Grip Change Base (SG GCB), yes then by all means try it with: Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - TimeOut - Dec. 25, 2014 On the subject of Dranzer V2: AR Looks accurate WD and Spin Gear are good Support Part is Good Only change I would make is the fact that Customize Clutch Base was clearly the inspiration for Final Drive (F) Gaia Dragoon V: looks fine Master Dragoon: Only change I would argue is that saying its AR is one of the best in both spin directions is a bit of a stretch. Voltaic Ape: Personal experience has shown little to no power in its AR I might argue that Customize Metal Sharp deserves note as one of the best-solo spinning blade bases in all of plastic. Don't know what argument there is on Wolborg, it looks good to me. RE: Project of the Moment: Back to the roots - ashton pinto - Dec. 08, 2015 I guess i can bump the thread now ? Are these needed ?
