There was a whole discussion about spamming in this thread a couple pages back. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Black_Rose - May. 01, 2009 I've never been a big fan of vegetables my self I usually stick to meat and fruit. I do eat some vegatables potatos, turnip and a few others but not very often. Atleast one of meals a day has some form of meat, not really sure how healthy that is but is usually chicken or some kind of bird and when there is some a huge helping of red meat. Well the parwents went shoping today so I have bacon to look forward to for breakfast Also on the topic of Veganism is it true they have to supplement there diet using vitiman pills and such? RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Khel - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 8:50 PM)Black_Rose Wrote: Also on the topic of Veganism is it true they have to supplement there diet using vitiman pills and such? They don't need to, but many do since they don't exactly live healthy lifestyles even with a vegan diet. It's the same with those who consume meat. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - fragbait - May. 01, 2009 There is no Carping way that chicken is "Fully cooked!" When you look at animals hunting in the wild, they sort of rip them apart while they are alive. The point for me is, human in industrial countries has the possibility not to do so. The leopard doesn't have a choice - he will die if he doesn't use his claws on that gazelle. But I will not die if I don't eat meat and products animals have been killed for. So I completely choose on my own whether to have animals killed for me or not. I wouldn't like to be killed just because there are smarter, stronger animals around wanting to eat me without needing to, either, so I don't want to do that to animals. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Rocky - May. 01, 2009 Sasch, you're a vegetarian too? I had no idea. Plus it doesn't help that all my german teachers talk about is how all germans are obsessed with sausages.......... But whatever. Point well made. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Pikachao - May. 01, 2009 We actually had a discussion about this in class recently and I people had to choose if they would pay the extra money for organic foods where the animals get treated better. Most of the class said they would but I'd be interested to see how many followed through on it if any. =/ Bacon is too amazing for me to give up meat. I do think there should be higher law standards on how animals should be treated though because some of what they're put through is just plain wrong. As long as they leave the laws to allow animals to be treated in this way, farmers will continue to use the cheapest methods possible without much thought for the animals. =[ RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Sasch - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 9:36 PM)Rocky Wrote: Sasch, you're a vegetarian too? Haha tell your teachers they're stupid for taking that dumb stereotype seriously RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Pikachao - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 10:09 PM)Sasch Wrote: Haha tell your teachers they're stupid for taking that dumb stereotype seriously I'm pretty sure anyone who's qualified to be a teacher wouldn't take this seriously. They were probably joking... Although, I DO see a lot of sausages in german supermarkets, more than england. Still, it's like saying all english people are obsessed with tea. It's not strictly true, but in general we probably do drink more tea than say, americans. I love tea by the way. ^^ RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Rocky - May. 01, 2009 No, no, they take it seriously. The majority of my teachers lack a complete brain so....... Tea is overrated. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Pikachao - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 10:15 PM)Rocky Wrote: No, no, they take it seriously. Then again, my ICT teacher writes things on the whiteboard in caps lock so I guess anything's possible. >.> Meh, I mostly drink tea because all my family do and stuff. It's like, if I want any other drink I get it myself but if my family are making tea they'll ask if anyone else wants some and make it for them and/or bring it to them. =P RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Zander Soulwind - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 10:15 PM)Rocky Wrote: Tea is overrated. 100% agree, I hate tea, it is horrible and leaves my throat dry. Also, all these years making it as annoyed me and put me off it. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Sasch - May. 01, 2009 It's not like no one eats sausage here, they are indeed quite popular. But it's not like everyone eats them all the time and you can buy them at every corner RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Rocky - May. 01, 2009 I don't think it's horrible.........I just prefer cold drinks to warm/hot drinks. Unless I'm really cold. Normally they just make me feel kinda stuffy though (does that make sense?). Nowadays I even find tap water kinda creepy. I have to chill it in the fridge before I really enjoy it. Cold tea is nice though. :3 RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Pikachao - May. 01, 2009 (May. 01, 2009 10:25 PM)Rocky Wrote: I don't think it's horrible.........I just prefer cold drinks to warm/hot drinks. If I want to feel refreshed I always have to drink something cold, usually water. I drink tea because I enjoy the taste or I'm cold or just happen to fancy it at the time. I almost never drink it because I'm thirsty. I wouldn't say I like cold tea, but if it's cooled down enough to drink properly without slurping (eww slurping, wait is that even a word?) then it's better. EDIT: Dictionary.com says it's a real word. I'm just trying to provide some basis for comparison. You're right that we as humans have an obligation to at least slaughter our animals humanely. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Pikachao - May. 01, 2009 G, the cat in your avatar looks really similar to a cat I had for ages from the isle of mann. It was like my best friend but it passed away a few years ago. ='[ It brings back so many memories. *sniff* RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - SexyMichael - May. 02, 2009 Haven't posted in a nice while lol. Getting ready to start year 3 of uni and if all goes according to plan: [Image: mm_014-1600-306.jpg] I will be buying one of these in 6 weeks when it arrives. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Khel - May. 02, 2009 That Fender looks sweet! Which model is it? RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Crimson - May. 02, 2009 Well,, I just found a manga I want to read through. It's called Liar Game. some post on Something Awful Wrote:The protagonist of the story, Kanzaki Nao, is an honest girl, as in textbook honest, she will hand 100 yen coins she finds on the street to the police lost and found. This naive, honest college girl one day randomly receives a package from the "Liar Game Tournament" and upon opening it discovers that she has been given 100 million yen (Approx 1 million US dollars if you don't count exchange rates). She is also presented with a series of conditions, she has 1 opponent and her objective is to swindle his 100 million away from him. Since this is a game, any method other than murder etc can be used to steal the money and it will not constitute a crime as its part of the game. I don't often find myself caring about any anime/manga lately, but this legitimately interests me. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Bey Brad - May. 02, 2009 That sounds lame. RE: Random Thoughts 2: ok, more like misc. thoughts - Crimson - May. 02, 2009 Someone called it "Death Note without the god complexes and murder" It's all psychological, tricks and mind games. Figuring how to outsmart someone else. Now, I'm sure that's not every bodies cup of tea, but after reading a bit of it, I've found myself enjoying it as much as the first time I found Death Note. (the first half of Death Note, where L and Kira are always matching wits) Also, the obligatory "You're lame..."
