RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Dracomageat - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 5:29 AM)Shika blade Wrote: my bassalt got koed once buy rock capricorne D125R2F. Hardly the surprise you seem to think that is. Rock's downward curve allows it to deflect taller attack type beys fairly effectively and, while this doesn't work so well if the Rock bey is moving around itself and the opponent is defensive, if there were a moment where Basalt was moving a lot (maybe after a strong hit) and it collided with Rock while Rock was stationary (the instant it reached the top of its butterfly pattern), strong defection would ensue. Combine this with the fact that R2F is only stationary when at the top of its butterfly pattern (or out of spin), meaning that the collision must have occurred near the edge of the stadium and this means that the KO is highly likely. Of course, the situations that led to the KO are very specific so will not occur often but with enough testing of this matchup, it's bound to happen sooner or later. Note: were Rock on a less aggressive tip, this would not happen as, while Rock would be in its stationary state more often, the out the box Basalt would not receive the hit required to get it moving aggressively. EDIT: As for Ray, I'm pretty sure it's a better wheel that people think. So long as you don't get the Gill mold of Ray by error (like I did), Ray Unicorno seems to be pretty amazing straight out the box. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - beccas12 - Oct. 12, 2011 Hello! Beyblade mom here... I am getting my son some beyblades for his borthday and I want to be sure I do not buy hte wrong thing. So I figured I go where the pro's are! 1: are hasbro and takara able to use each others parts for customization? 2: is it recommendable to get new spare arts from toywiz.com and such sites? His tips are worn. 3: he does not have that many yet, and for his borthday wanted an L-Drago. Which one would be the awesomest? Please keep in mind we live in Europe... 4: if he has mostly hasbro Beyblades now, would you recommend sticking with those or is there no real difference between takara and hasbro, so get what he thinks looks cool? 5: what are those tall tips? I can't find them to buy here. Can you link an on line store that sells them? thanks guys! becca RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Benjohadi - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 1:44 PM)beccas12 Wrote: Hello! hi.. ![]() 1. yes..they are interchangable.. 2. use purchase consultation 3. use purchase consultation 4. they are no big deal actually..but some beyblades are more fragile from the other brand and vice versa..while some brand use differ mold....etc etc personally, i like Takara more... 5. there are many tall tips as i recalled..but..try beymarketplace; selling and trading section or 'stores to get beyblades' RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Janstarblast - Oct. 12, 2011 Well, tall tips are nothing but extremely tall tips, which may be helpful to avoid scraping when used with tracks such as BD145. Here's the list, the ones I am unsure about have been enclosed in brackets. This list is of tall tips, and not about usefulness with BD145- RF, CS, EDS, R2F, LRF, (XF), HF/S, (WF). RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Benjohadi - Oct. 12, 2011 XF..i'm sure it will scrap if used with BD145..XD.. however i'm not sure for WF..(i dont own it) RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - KillerSpinner - Oct. 12, 2011 Man, I hope I don't get slapped by the "Please use search" Police, but here goes: Are these still being produced? I want to say, no, but I see SOOO many available all over the place (world). Just how "limited" were they? So, while there are not that many WBBA Shops, in them, MF Earth Aquila 100HF/S was not so limited. Vulcan Horuseus 145D was only supposed to be released with the PSP game (the Booster pack like that is what comes inside the PSP game), but it seems like factories in Hong Kong have been making these much more available than they are supposed to be, and you rarely see the PSP game associated with it anymore. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - KillerSpinner - Oct. 12, 2011 It figures (your WHOLE reply! LOL) Thanks for clearing that up. My son like to think they are SOOOOOOOOOOO rare! LOL ssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ Vulcan Horuseus. But somehow, many wholesalers got a lot of them without the game. I don't think they are still being produced anymore though. And about Earth Aquila 100 HF/S, it is a WBBA exclusive product which is available only in WBBA Shops in Japan (and a few other Asian countries). Edit- Beaten RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Janstarblast - Oct. 12, 2011 Kai-V- In KillerSpinner's post I noticed- Vulcan Horuseus has a different number to it. BBP01 is what it reads. Is there a certain reason for that? Does this mean to show that what they are selling are Special Versions? OK, so in that case, its not really a regular release of the bey, but TT's way of making beys more common(similar to SonoKong). SonoKong releases/is expected to release the prize beys of certain Random Boosters. So, is this Vulcan Horuseus similar to such releases, but by the Brand Name of TT? RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Ketos - Oct. 12, 2011 Hi, i have just got a used gb145 and it is orangey in colour and less transparent not like the clear light yellow one i have seen on beywiki but on the track it says A3. Parts also fitted okay. Is it real ? RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 3:14 PM)Janstarblast Wrote: Ah! TAKARA-TOMY has not made Vulcan Horuseus more available. It is the factories in Hong Kong which let them go to local resellers easily. For TAKARA-TOMY, the only official and approved release is Vulcan Horuseus as part of the PSP game, nothing else. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Janstarblast - Oct. 12, 2011 Thanks a lot, Kai-V! That was truly confusing! It is not so pirate-esque as you make it seem, actually. TT has given express permission to the Hong Kong factories for them to be released, otherwise it would be a very extreme trade law infringement mandating an absolute shutdown followed by search and seizure of the property being released without express consent of the contract-holding company. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Arupaeo - Oct. 12, 2011 I purchased my Vulcan Horuseus from a reputable and well-known eBay seller who stated that the product was authentic and manufactured by TT. The box my Vulcan Horuseus came in had the expected TT logos and stickers, and the box had the same form and construction as my Bakushin Susanow. If that Vulcan was a production overrun being sold in a counterfeit box on the grey market, then a lot of people have a lot of explaining to do... and maybe I have to change my avatar... :o RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Hazel - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 5:38 PM)Arupaeo Wrote: I purchased my Vulcan Horuseus from a reputable and well-known eBay seller who stated that the product was authentic and manufactured by TT. If that Vulcan was a production overrun being sold in a counterfeit box on the grey market, then a lot of people have a lot of explaining to do... No, it's nothing like that. Takara Tomy has given permission to the Factories that produce the Beyblades to sell the product separate from the game at a wholesale cost. It's a marked profit for everyone involved - absolutely zero losses. The Beyblade costs less to make than the game it comes with. Japanese companies and Hong Kong factories are both intelligent enough to know that bundling an item with something will only make you money as long as the primary item of interest in the bundle is still sought-after. Beyond that point, taking the bonus off and selling it separately right from the factory becomes an obvious business decision. There is no "shady dealing" about it whatsoever. I'm genuinely not sure where Kai-V got the idea that it wasn't authorized sale - the items cannot leave the factory without authorization. That's known, in the business world, as smuggling, theft, larceny, intent to sell stolen goods, etc. Unless there is some proof otherwise, such as a news article, or knowledge of a C&D filed toward the company for such actions, this is surely not the case. Every now and again some products DO get "leaked" out of the factories, but in these cases, it's nothing like that - thousands of units would not have gone unnoticed. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2011 Considering that Vulcan Horuseus Booster is not sold in any shop in Japan, I would not see it as such an authorized sale. What, stores in other Asian countries have them on shelves as if it were anything else ? Surely there are just easy affiliations between the factories and the resellers and, while TAKARA-TOMY does not completely refuse this 'leak', such normal sale of Vulcan Horuseus is not normal. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Hazel - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 5:53 PM)Kai-V Wrote: Considering that Vulcan Horuseus Booster is not sold in any shop in Japan, I would not see it as such an authorized sale. "Normal" or not, the idea that it isn't authorized is just entirely incorrect. As I said before, the items leaving the factory without consent from the parent company is a MASSIVE legal no-no. The factory producing the items has no legal right over them beyond what TT allows. All sales of official TT Vulcan Horuseus, be they with the game or straight from the factory, are authorized. Online and Hong Kong markets make up a MASSIVE portion of TT's profits - it is zero surprise they would actually understand this. Be it a dealing of the factory purchasing them to sell to wholesellers themselves, or otherwise, TT is receiving full cut on the items, and has released them from the factory lines in their current state. There simply is nothing more to it. I find it extremely odd that you're going to such a length to disparage these sales anyway - they harm no one, TT makes full cut regardless, and it is not as if the item not coming with a game invalidates it. Same product, same profit, higher convenience for the buyer... Save the black-labelling for actual acts of bootlegging, imo. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2011 I addressed that in my previous post ... It is just in the sense that you need to have a special link with the factories to actually get those extra Vulcan Horuseus. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Hazel - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 6:04 PM)Kai-V Wrote: I addressed that in my previous post ... It is just in the sense that you need to have a special link with the factories to actually get those extra Vulcan Horuseus. It's less of a "special link" than calling them and placing an order... the biggest "restriction" I'm aware of is that they often only wholesell in this manner to local salesmen, but that's not really strange at all - especially considering Asian policies. Wholesale is a mandatory part of any large business. Regardless, this has gone past the point of simply answering someone's question. The full truth about the issue that we can possibly be aware of has been stated, and there's really nothing more to be said about it. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2011 When most of the sales are completely unrelated to how TAKARA-TOMY planned it to be released, that is abnormal. RE: Ask a question, get an answer! #2 - Hazel - Oct. 12, 2011 (Oct. 12, 2011 6:08 PM)Kai-V Wrote: When most of the sales are completely unrelated to how TAKARA-TOMY planned it to be released, that is abnormal. You cannot really state how a company "planned" to release anything without actually being an executive in the company or a worker in the shipping department. It is not an un-planned venture if they signed over the ability for the venture to occur. Companies very frequently do many things like this deliberately. "Straight dealings" have been a fargone legacy of the business world - and were, in fact, a myth to begin with. Regardless, once again, it's down the point of just a misnomer - it doesn't matter how or why or where or who or what or waldo. The absolute fact of this matter is that TT HAS authorized these sales, and that the products are legitimate. Beyond that, absolutely nothing means anything, so going "Oh, they're authentic, but I don't like the way they're being sold" is just pointless and potentially misleading to people you are trying to inform. |
