Check your link again. The plastic ring has the four nubs to keep it fixed on the Weight Disk. Brad's right: it's Defense Ring.

I like that the dual layer bursts have the clear plastic shell around the layer. It really catches the light well when taking photos, and I can't wait to take the two layers apart and detail/paint the lower colored plastic layer without having to worry about getting foreign material on the contact surfaces of the bey.
Plus the shell more or less eliminates the need for a topcoat, so I can get really funky and use really thin coats of ink/paint that should have less weight gain than say, putting on stickers. Will post results soon

Wow, great recolor, Asterisk! Silver & gold does fit Spriggan really good and it's even better that you've used the gold just for the highlights

Thanks, haha. Asterisk/Asterisk93/Aster has been my online name for as long as I can remember. I actually wanted to change it to Aster for simplicity when at tournaments, but it seems that it's already taken.
Also, I've finished customizing my Yggdrasil layer! I liked the original green of this layer, so rather than a straight-up recolor like I did with Spriggan, I tried to do more of a shading/detailing job with this.
The colored plastic layer. I let some of the original orange show through the gold on the horns because i think it gives it a nice slightly rusted look. The shading looks a little spotty in places, which I fixed up after the photo:

The screws are tri-wing screws, and I had a TW screwdriver lying around that I'd used for electronics. You just unscrew the screws, and (sometimes with a little prying) the layers come apart.
