From what i rember the ones on wii werent great so thats probs why.

on another note, finaly got around to watching the sonic 4 gameplay trailer and it looks nothing like what i thought it would,it doesnt look like the graphics are much of an imporvement from the old megadrive/master system sonics, when i heard it was gonna be 2.5D i was expecting it to look at least as good as klonoa 2 Uncertain

Today this arrived:

Cheap-ish lot which I got off of eBay; LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT STRATEGY GUIDE.

inb4 bulbapedia/serebii ; offline books are sometimes more convenientttt

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Daegor42 - Jul. 08, 2010

I never use strategy guides. I don't even use online references.

Is that a new or used Platinum? And how much was the lot?

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Serotonin - Jul. 08, 2010

Around 20USD shipped. It's used, I believe, as is the guide. Movesets are the most useful to me.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Daegor42 - Jul. 08, 2010

Wow, that's a pretty good deal then. I never really bothered with move sets. It's funny, I'm a "hard core" gamer when it comes to any other game, but with Pokemon, I don't bother EV training or breeding for perfect IVs/Nature.

Man, the Go is such a great looking handheld (oh how opinions change). It's so nice. Pics with the DSi, PSP 3000, and GameBoy Micro:

It's like insanely sleek, and the positioning on the buttons work really well.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Serotonin - Jul. 08, 2010

Slideout doesn't look good to me; the two shapes on top of each other is very awkward. Each to their own, I guess.

That said, your Game Boy Micro faceplate; really?

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - To - Jul. 08, 2010

When it's sliden out, it does look odd, but it feels fine.

As for my Micro, I only have two face plates, that one and the silver one, but I've lost the key to change them. (I'm also a bit afraid that a stack of weird things in the air will get in between the screen when I'm putting the other face plate on)

The Gameboy Micro is honestly one of my favorite handhelds ever. It's perfectly designed ergonomically and the screen looks so good. I just wish the screen could have been a little bit bigger.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Serotonin - Jul. 09, 2010

Nice work To ~ Although I'd generally agree that dust gets in far too easily.

Yeah, I really love the Game Boy Micro.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Mc Frown - Jul. 09, 2010

I think the GBA line was the best line of handhelds ever produced.

They're the reason I didn't buy the DSi, *sniffles*....

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - To - Jul. 09, 2010

I got my Micro well after it was discontinued so I didn't get a choice of colours, face plates, or any accessories really, lol.

The screen being so small is the reason why it looks so good, lol. The same goes with the Go, it's screen is absolutely gorgeous as it's a slightly smaller version of the screen in the 3000, but without scanlines, or ghosting. Everything's so crisp, and vibrant.

The Go and the Micro have a lot in common. They're both late generation heavy revisions of popular platforms as an attempt to target different lifestyles (Go with the digital download consumer, and the Micro with the fashionable consumer). Both were never meant to replace the main models (GBA SP, and PSP 3000). They both broke compatibility with previous acessories, and games (in the case of the Go, UMD releases, and in the case of Micro, GB/C titles). Lastly, both sold like carp compared to the platforms they were revising, lol.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Dirge - Jul. 09, 2010

realy? You guys like the gba micro Confused imo it was a step backwards from the SP,with the mirco you couldnt even put on the wireless adapter for pokemon leaf green and emerald

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Thresher - Jul. 09, 2010

Infinity Ward can go carp itself!

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - LightningVoltix - Jul. 09, 2010

I don't know why people still like GBAs.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Sora. - Jul. 10, 2010

I've yet to find a truly captivating DS game.
In terms of games I'd say GBA games > DS games.
So GBA > DS, specifically for time released.

Hello Pichuscute 2.0

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - To - Jul. 10, 2010

I have no problems with the games on the DS, I just have various problems with the DS itself, lol.

Anyways, word on the street is that Sony Cambridge Studio is working on a new MediEvil game. This, just after the announcement of a the Twisted Metal reboot at E3, and the longstanding rumor of Syphon Filter 5 makes me ponder, when am I going to get a new:

Heck, if they made it Move-only, I'd buy a Move for it. Anyways, I believe that's a screen grab from the Parappa anime series, which also makes me ask, why wasn't that put in a language I can understand? ughsfgdfg.

I find that hard to believe. What GBA games were "truly captivating" to you?

I'll just attribute my feelings to a recent lack of interest and my love for handhelds founding on the GBA.

But honestly, name some good DS games that aren't remakes, I'll be glad to try them out.
