MFB v Plastics aka why I like plastics (Click to View)

I knew more about MFB as it was before I took my break than I do currently about plastics.

This is because MFB is very much "you have 5 parts, put them together". In plastics, it's you have "five" parts, but those parts can be combined in ways you wouldn't expect and a lot of those parts have sub parts that can be swapped. Plastics leaves a lot more room for new discoveries, even after all this time, largely due to the more relaxed ruleset.

It's much harder to know "everything" about plastics than it is MFB.

As for tourneys, I went into my first MFB tourney having developed combo's to use against every main MFB combo at the time, and combo's to defeat anyone who copied the combo's I was using.

I went into the plastics tourney with a compact, a low-grip zombie poorly suited to the stadium, and an attacker I didn't use. Admittedly my launch was shaky too, but my knowledge was certainly quite shallow.

Oh, and it's much easier to get every mfb part than it is every plastic part, which kinda helped.

But, it is this exact thing, the fact it's so hard to find out "everything" or "most things" in terms of plastic combinations (what's possible/will fit or work together) that is probably the main reason I prefer them.

The main reason I love beyblades as a game is customisation (not yelling at people, being able to show off my knowledge muscles or even competitive play (I actually hate competition in general, always have)). Plastic just does this better than MFB, and there were too few HMS IMO (though really, I just don't get into them because I have never had any and it'd be expensive to start a collection. By which I mean, it'd be expensive to do what I always do with such things: buy every release ever.).

So yeah, plastics is just infinitely more customisable than MFB, and there's so much to discover even after all this time (admittedly much of it is rediscovery, but hey, not my fault if people have lost interest/don't post etc). And the battles are more exciting and there aren't any over 5 minutes, even with the best stamina combo's possible. I am not a patient man, probably why I liked Kai so much (didn't almost everyone?), he was said to always attempt to finish battles quickly (never did work out why he then chose to run attack/stamina types but whatever).

As has been said, I keep my plastics by my bed and normally mess around with customisations before going to sleep because it relaxes me. :o
