I will see those Dark Times. My parents will probably take away my PS4.(Jul. 03, 2014 3:57 PM)RagerBlade Wrote: Honestly though this year was a blast for me. In 6th and 7th grade I was Asian Failing (thanks iTris3!) and getting A's and B's, but just barely which makes it suck even more. This year I just went try-hard and got all A's every quarter. It really is just amazing. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - LMAO - Jul. 03, 2014 Well, I received huge news today, there's a possibility of me moving from Toronto to London, U.K next summer to live with my Aunt and Uncle. A part of me wants to go, and another part wants to stay haha. Who knows, if I do go, maybe I'll end up trying to revive the Beyblade scene in London ![]() RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kaneki - Jul. 03, 2014 Just don't come anywhere near me lol. What part though if you do? RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - LMAO - Jul. 03, 2014 (Jul. 03, 2014 10:42 PM)Ryûzaki Wrote: Just don't come anywhere near me lol. What part though if you do? No idea yet, it's just something my parents are coming up with for my education, because they think "Toronto's Education System is horrible". WE COULD TRY TO REVIVE LONDON TOGETHER! RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jul. 03, 2014 If you want good education you should come to 'murica (sarcasm), thats sounds like itd be a good experience though, id love to visit london, i just wouldnt live in great britian RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kaneki - Jul. 03, 2014 London's Education System's pretty good imo. I have no clue about Toronto's though, hah. Yay, then you could come MCM Comic Con London with me and have a great time right! ![]() If I revived London with you, all my Beypoints will be gone in 10 seconds. Very god idea! RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - LMAO - Jul. 03, 2014 Wow, now I really hope I do end up moving next summer! Trust me, if anything you'll move to the top 50 haha, I'm basically a free Beypoints machine. Yeah it's much better according to my Mom haha, she doesn't like the Toronto District School Board hah, it's so disorganized and the funds for the schools are horrible. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jul. 04, 2014 America's Education system is awful. I learn more from Video Games then school. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - 6 God - Jul. 04, 2014 I don't see how that's possible, haha. It would be cool to learn things that they want to, like an individualized group learning at different levels from other students. I know that's kind of like how they have it once you get older, but there's quite a few idiots in my G.T. class... RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jul. 04, 2014 It's flawed as hell; you don't understand. The curriculum is going to be the same for the entire country...and it's so damn annoying. What they're trying to do is balance all education. Coming from Mississippi; arguably the dumbest state, I know that it makes the smart kids less intelligent. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - 6 God - Jul. 04, 2014 I heard that they were teying some PARK thing, I donmt know if it's exclusively for LA or what, but a lot of teachers are upset about it. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - *Ginga* - Jul. 04, 2014 I'm lucky live in one of the best counties in the country, and that includes education. So I'm good for right now! RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jul. 04, 2014 IMO school is only worth a diploma, alot of the things they teach in school can be learned outside of it, or at least thats been my experience RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Jul. 04, 2014 That's true, what good is Drama class in the real world? I think that English and Math are the prime subjects that should be taught. Could any of you name out at least one ridiculous elective class? Mines is Spanish, I used to know how to speak it, but I forgot how. I'm slowly learning it back. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - 6 God - Jul. 04, 2014 One school I know of, you have the choice of being a movie critique. Basically, you watch a movie then write a report on it. What good does that do? Edit: Kai-V, oh that makes sense. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kaneki - Jul. 04, 2014 I guess it's to see if they'd want to promote it if it's good in the review. If not, it goes down the drain. Do you guys think Game designer/animator is lame? Cause I'm trying hard for one of those. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jul. 04, 2014 (Jul. 04, 2014 1:48 AM)OwnageDerp Wrote: That's true, what good is Drama class in the real world? Mines is Spanish, I used to know how to speak it, but I forgot how. I'm slowly learning it back.I actually wrote an essay about how drama is a helpful class. There's lots of statistics about it improving confidence and general performance in other subjects. Personally, it helped my confidence drastically and made me more outgoing in real life. [rant]As for the ridiculous elective, chemistry and geometry aren't electives, but ridiculous classes in general. Chemistry is all about the structure of molecules and such, and unless you plan on going into science (actually, you'd need to go into a certain science), it's useless. As is geometry. Some people may argue that proofs teach how to think logically. Not only do other basic classes and experiences develop logical thinking, proofs have not hoped me at all. Others may say that learning about angles and such with be helpful, but will it really? Even if someone can give me a reason why, that's still stuff you learn in grammar school. High school geometry has done nothing but stress me out.[/rant] RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kai-V - Jul. 04, 2014 Actually, the homework of writing a movie review is to develop your sense of critique, because so many people make horrible comments about movies, like judgements that are not based on any facts they can word, they cannot see the big picture or even the context in which the work was done which influenced it, etc. Depending on where you live, the gaming creation industry can be very interesting. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jul. 04, 2014 But still there are plenty of things outside of school you can do to boost your confidence, go to the gym, join a play or something, anything. Edit: my point wasnt that school teaches useless subjects, i meant that anything that you do in that 8 hours can really be condensed into 4 and it would yeild the same results, but also thats been my experience some people love school and prom and so forth but i personally dont like being around people who i have pretty much nothing in common with for 8 hours/5 days a week, and having to wear a uniform that consisted of a bright yellow polo and dockers doesnt help my case. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Jul. 04, 2014 I'm taking classes that interest me and ones that I must take. Honestly, I don't mind if there is no significant value in it. If I think it interests me or might give even the slightest bit of knowledge, I'll take. I don't have much to choose from at my high school anyways. History is something I like, and have been/will be taking every year just because I like the class. Engineering is something that interests me, so I'm taking engineering classes. I don't neccisarily need those classes, but I am taking what I want. The only class I have to take that I really do not want to is Spanish. I might actually switch over to French. The bad thig is if have to take it another 3 years. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jul. 04, 2014 (Jul. 04, 2014 2:20 AM)yt152430 Wrote: But still there are plenty of things outside of school you can do to boost your confidence, go to the gym, join a play or something, anything.Believe me, going to the gym will make me feel even worse about myself. How would you feel if you were struggling to lift a bar while everyone else around you is lifting hundreds of pounds? Not really a confidence booster, until a lot of time has past and that humiliation gives way to some confidence. Also, at least at my school, you had to audition for plays, so not everyone got in. If you're not a confident person, you'll have trouble getting a part. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jul. 04, 2014 Thats how i was when i started going to the gym, when i started i was 100lbs and at the end of that year i was 140lbs of lean muscle, hard work pays off. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Ga' - Jul. 04, 2014 my school is in the top 500 in the USA but no child left behind hits everyone lolol, luckily I still got a decent education and the academic teams I joined I was able to build up into successful teams haha, I think the USA education is good in more liberal and well developed places. ofc the best education in the world is in Finland which actually looks seriously legit. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jul. 04, 2014 (Jul. 04, 2014 2:35 AM)yt152430 Wrote: Thats how i was when i started going to the gym, when i started i was 100lbs and at the end of that year i was 140lbs of lean muscle, hard work pays off.Ok, but the point I was making is there's a lot of pressure and humiliation for some people, plus weight lifting and stuff of the like is painfully dull, in my opinion. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Jul. 04, 2014 It is embarrassing to be in a gym, imagine a slim "unbuilt" guy lifting 20 pound weights next to a big "built" dude lifting 100 pound dumb bells. Everyone's gonna laugh at the slim guy, and it's not like you could tell them anything, because who knows if they could literally falcon punch you to smithereens. It's best you lift weights in private. I also heard that the gym memberships cost as much as a weight set to do it at home. Edit: *looks at avatar* I didn't know kirby knew about gyms! |
