RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 26, 2014 You ever try the tea stuff that makes your nails taste bad, that might help, i bite my nails because i just like my nails to be short RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 Ew. I like having my nails a little long. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 26, 2014 They get in the way for me, mainly because ive done everything without them for so long RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 (Jun. 26, 2014 3:50 AM)yt152430 Wrote: They get in the way for me, mainly because ive done everything without them for so long They help with Beyblade stickers; applying and removal. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 26, 2014 Well thats part of the reason why i dont like stickers, but i also dont like having half of the decal left after battling for a while RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 (Jun. 26, 2014 5:37 AM)yt152430 Wrote: Well thats part of the reason why i dont like stickers, but i also dont like having half of the decal left after battling for a while They make you wish it was painted. But that's getting off topic... In the off topic forums. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 26, 2014 Even then its irritating, my meteo used to look awesome now it looks like an old building (Sorry just had to say one more thing) RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 (Jun. 26, 2014 5:55 AM)yt152430 Wrote: Even then its irritating, my meteo used to look awesome now it looks like an old building Yeah, but so do chewed nails. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 26, 2014 I got my one hand slammed in a door so even if that hand could grow long nails they would look deformed, and iron finger training is definitely more than enough to grind your nails down, concrete can be pretty abrasive at times RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Flambo. - Jun. 26, 2014 One time my nails were too long and one bent back and almost tore all the way off. That's why I clip my nails and not chew them. Sometimes I forget to clip them and I end up tearing of the top part and having it look somewhat clipped. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 As long as it covers the NAILBEDS. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Jun. 26, 2014 Um, one time a steel door slammed my pinky, therefore shattering my fingernail, (there even were fragments of my fingernail inside my pinky) and I bled a pool of blood. It was everywhere. The point is, don't take your nails for granted. (My pinky nail is okay now) RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 26, 2014 (Jun. 26, 2014 9:53 PM)OwnageDerp Wrote: Um, one time a steel door slammed my pinky, therefore shattering my fingernail, (there even were fragments of my fingernail inside my pinky) and I bled a pool of blood. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 Well, I'm just gonna veer away from this somewhat cringe-inducing conversation of blood and shattered nails. Ok? Ok. Awhile ago I ordered a Jaw Harp. I finally got it yesterday, and it is awesome! I mean, once I learned to play it and not hit my tooth with the metal reed, it was smooth sailing. It's so cool! Does anyone else own/play this under appreciated instrument? Ok? Ok. W-what? I'm confused. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 About what? RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Jun. 27, 2014 (Jun. 27, 2014 5:08 PM)Du@l Wrote: About what? The fact there's a tooth instrument. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 It's not so much a tooth instrument as a mouth instrument. You press it against your teeth (making sure to leave room for the reed to vibrate when you play it), close your lips around it, and push the reed, controlling your breathing and tongue movement to make different notes and noises. It's fun stuff. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 27, 2014 Man the violin was irritating enough to play for me that thing sound like itd be crazy, how loud its it, can other people hear or just you? RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 Ironically, I can usually only hear the bigger metal part vibrating against my teeth, so I have to record myself to hear if I'm actually playing a song, or if it just sounds like sound effects from Tom and Jerry in reverse. It's fairly loud to the people listening, as long as you play it right. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 27, 2014 Geez does that hurt, metal vibrating on teeth is definitely cringe worthy RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 Haha, no, it doesn't hurt at all, because you're holding it in your hand, and it's lightly pressed against your teeth. The only time it hurts is when the metal reed comes back and hits my tooth. Even still, it's not that bad, and as long as you hold it correctly, you're good. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - yt152430 - Jun. 27, 2014 So is it like some type of harmonica then? RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Jun. 27, 2014 Not really, it's kind of hard to explain. Looking up images of it should give you a pretty good idea of what it is. Ok? Ok. Man...I haven't seen a jaw harp in AGES. I've never played one, but I can remember wanting on as a kid. Got any vids of you playing? Where did you snag it, and if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for? |
