As of right now, it's looking like somewhere from July 10th to the end of July, so if you're willing to sign up, I would be extremely thankful. (Might need some pointers on site Uncertain )
I don't know if i'm your man for pointers...

That's fine, as long as you are fine giving them, I'd be glad to take all the help I can get. I'm waiting for a solid date before proposing the tourney, so does anyone have any suggestions or preferences?

I would like to join if you do have a tornament!

Cool, I'm just waiting to find a date, most likely the 17th or the 24st of July.

I'm definitely down! I live 15 minutes away from the woodlands so I can be there in a flash!

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - ZephyrDraco - Jul. 06, 2021

Alright, seems like some people are interested, can you guys say which areas you live in around Houston so I can find a better location?

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - ZephyrDraco - Jul. 07, 2021

Alright, so I am likely going to host the tournament around 3PM on August 7 at some park in the Houston area. Just checking, would anybody else like to come? I know users USN, LoneStarBlader, Ultimate_RedEye, WayoftheBey, and lulaw28 have all mentioned their interest, so would there be anyone else? Also, If you are one of the people I mentioned above, please let me know if you won't be able to make it. The location is mostly flexible, but not the time. If you are one of the above, I will send a PM to each of you to double-check. Thanks, and sorry for any inconvenience.

Here's a list of other Austin bladers that might be able to make the drive:
  • Nola1000
  • Breezey
  • Toniokolbol
  • jasonantonio
  • TSRMaster11
  • FoxAngel
  • Orochi’s Blade
  • Unburstable
  • TXGameHunters
  • Raybuster
BTW before you get a date for your tournament, I would become an organizer. The process for me was by no means quick. Mana and Kei get 100s of pings every day, but from what I understand, they are the only people around who can change your account to become an official organizer.

Wow, that's great, I don't know if I can ask all of them personally, but if you could let them know, I would be extremely appreciative.

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - ZephyrDraco - Jul. 08, 2021

Alright, update, I have received confirmation from both USN and LoneStarBlader that they will be coming, because of scheduling conflicts, both the time and date have been changed to tentative. I need two more confirmed interests to start the application process, so anyone who is interested, please let me know either on the forum or over PM.

Uhh... I never said I was coming.
1. I have no idea how my schedule will turn out.
2. If you actually go thew the whole organizer quiz proccess fast enough to actually host a tournament on the 7th I would be very surprised.

I would become an organizer first before making plans. The proccess takes awhile.

Alright, I submitted my first quiz submission yesterday, hopefully things turn out well.

BTW I'm not saying I have doubts that you will make it. Mana and Kei just take awhile to give you the actual tittle and ability to make a tournament.

Okay, just your first quiz entry? Sorry for so many questions, just somewhere between curious and anxious.

No, I mean once you pass the quiz. The only people with authority to change your rank are Kei and Mana and they are very busy.

Oh, ok, that makes sense. So how long did it take for your quiz to get reviewed? Mine's still being processed.

When I tried the quiz for me it took an hour or so but it's random

Oh, so far a few days for me. Hopefully it will be soon.

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - LoneStarBlader - Jul. 14, 2021

Just be patient with covid restrictions lowering you know they have to be more busy than they've been in a while. You know you've got my interest for Houston events just keep studying up on those rules that way you can really make a good impression on your first event. I'm trying to read up on them myself but wow its alot of little technicalities.

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - ZephyrDraco - Jul. 16, 2021

Okay, so this might be a long post, but I hope you guys understand.

So, basically, I won't be hosting the tournament for at least another month. I didn't get 100% on the Organizer Quiz the first time, and I can't take it again for a month. I feel like I owe the people in this thread an apology for being naive by claiming it would happen at a set date or time when there was no way possible to know if the time frame would work out and constantly assuming things that aren't true in order to make things seem more like the way I thought things would turn out when they aren't. I don't want to end up being a spammy person who can't contain their wishful thinking and ends up putting it straight into this forum.

I genuinely feel bad for getting people's hopes up and I would like to apologize to everyone. I would like to host the tournament around Labor Day, but I understand now that, as of right now, that is wishful thinking as well. I still look forward to seeing everyone at a future tournament. I am going to try my best to minimize the assumptions on this forum, and I will keep working towards becoming an Organizer for the time being. If I make any mistakes regarding these two things or anything else, feel free to correct me.

Thank you guys for your support, and sorry for this whole mess,

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but maybe USN was right, The Organizer Quiz is a toughie you shouldn't plan your first event before getting the recognition that you passed also maybe next time spend some more time studying for the quiz before taking it, I would study for at least a week before I take it, and hey no rush you have plenty of time to host a tournament! So just maybe be more prepared next time

Yeah, I definitely should have waited on the planning, and I shouldn't have expected to pass on my first try, but I don't think I missed it by much and as soon as I got denied, I realized what I did wrong... If anything, it gives me the advantage of not making that mistake (hopefully) for next time.

RE: [Houston, Texas, USA] Tournaments in Houston - 90sBlader - Jul. 17, 2021

1st day heavily lurking the website.... I just saw the whole thing flourish and crash all within 5 minutes of reading. I'm from San Antonio but a trip to Houston is nothing. I'll be on the lookout for the official event announcement in the future.

Its all good Zephyr just keep looking over the material. Don't apologize just keep studying and you'll get there. I guess its tough because they want to make sure these things run smooth. Don't worry bro when you get ill be the first person to sign up. Just be patient! Oh when you do something set up regardless of tournament ranking or not im challenging you okay? Wild Bey rules got it?! Non stop until a beyblade pops!
