so ok this did happen to me before with the first gen dimension driver from cho z achilles its really easy to fix
it does seem that you put to much force when changing moods once to make stick so it wont change mid battle
so if I was you ill grab a small adjustable wrench with a towel to get better grip of it
and try to put a bit of pressure to reverse the mood
don't try to hard it will brake just put enough pressure to get it unstuck
