Miles and his friends were now mid-way through their flight, on their way to Argentina.

Miles and Bri were the ones awake, while Devin and Cloud were both asleep in the seats behind them.

"So..." Miles said. "Argentina, huh?"

"Yep..." Bri replied.

"I heard Argentina is a beautiful place..."

"Yeah, me too! I think it's very beautiful..."

"I can only think of one thing more beautiful..."

"Yeah? What is that?"

Miles smiled. "You..."

"Awwww..." Bri said, blushing lightly, "That's sweet!" She then gave him a kiss...

"Looks like Devin's not awake to ruin it this time, huh?" Bri said jokingly...

"Haha, yep!" Miles replied laughing.

A few hours later, around 7 pm, the four came into Argentina.

"Guys, wake up! We're almost there..." Miles said to Devin and Cloud...

However, they got woken up when the plane started shaking.

"W-What's going on??" Devin said...

The pilot then came on the intercom. "It appears that the fuel tanks have leaked, ladies and gentleman. Strap in for some turbulence. We are gonna make an emergency stop at the Buenos Aries Airport.

Everyone did so.

"I'm scared, Miles..." Bri said, worried...

"It's ok, Bri..." Miles said comfortingly, "We'll make it..."

After several agonizing seconds, the plane safely landed and rolled to a stop at the end of the airstrip...

"Phew, that was close!" Cloud remarked...

"Yeah. I'm just glad we're safe..." Miles replied...

After the four friends got off the plane, they walked down the terminal.

"It appears that Argentina is here! They must've been waiting!" Devin said, pointing...

At the end of the terminal, there were three boys and one girl, all dressed in blue jeans and light blue Argentina jerseys, waiting for the US team. They walked up to the Argentina team...

"Hola, US team!" said one of the boys. "We are the official Argentinian beyblade team!"

They shook hands with the US team...

"So, what are your names?"

"I'm Miles Serge. I'm the East Coast US Team's Captain! I use MF-H Wing Pegasis BD145CS! These are my teammates, Devin, Cloud, and our sub-member, Bri! Devin uses Burn Corona 230D, Cloud uses Shinobi Orojya 90WD, and Bri uses MF Meteo L-Drago CH120EWD..."

After taking a breath, Miles continued. "So, what are your names?"

"I am the Captain, Guillermo Siad! These are my teammates, Romero Gomez and Lionel Nappa, and that girl right there is our sub, Jesse Ibarra! We all use Booster Beys!!"

"Booster beys??" Devin said, confused...

"Oh yeah. It's been a while since the US had them..." Guillermo said. "Let us show you!"

They all pulled out their beys.

"I, Guillermo, use MF Sagittario 145S! Romero uses MF Wolf D125B, Lionel uses MF Pisces D125BS, and Jesse uses MF Gemios DF145FS!"

"Oh yeah, I remember those!!" Miles remarked...

"So, I heard you guys ran into trouble on the flight?" Guillermo said...

"Yep..." Cloud replied. "Gas tanks leaked..."

"Oh my! are you okay?" Jesse asked...

"Yeah, everything's fine..." Cloud answered...

"That's good!" Guillermo said. "Now, our battle is going to be tomorrow at 9am! The hotel you guys will be staying at is just a walk down the street! Now, we gotta go. It's getting late. See you guys tomorrow!"

"Bye!" Miles said as they left...

After that, the four friends walked down the street to the hotel. They checked in, and went to their room.

"This is huge!!" Devin said, looking at the size. He then spotted a room with a TV. "That room's mine!" He said.

"Not if it's mine first!" Cloud remarked... He and Devin then started arguing...

"Boys calm down!" Bri said, "There are two separate beds in there. You can both have the room!"

Devin and Cloud looked, and spotted the two beds...

"Oh yeah..." the two said simultaneously...

"Alright, you two..." Miles said, like a parent. "Go to your room and get some sleep. We got a busy day tomorrow..."

"Awww..." Devin said. "Can't we watch TV?"

"Sure, just don't be too loud. I need my sleep too, y'know?"

"Okay..." Cloud replied, and he and Devin went in and closed the door...

"Well, looks like we gotta share a bed tonight, Miles..." Bri said...

"Fine with me..." he said, climbing into the bed...

"Okay then..." Bri said, joining him...

"So, Bri, what do you think tomorrow's gonna be like?"

"I have no Idea. We've never seen how well Booster beys work.."

"Yeah, and I need to pick a line up. Hmmm..."

"Miles?"

"Yeah, Bri?"

"Do you mind if I sit this one out? I'd like to get more practice in before my next match..."

"Sure thing, Bri. I'll have Cloud take care of it..."

"Good..." Bri said, yawning...

"Tired, huh?" Miles asked...

"Mhmm..." she said...

"Well, let's get some shut-eye. We'll need it for tomorrow..." He gave her a gentle kiss on her lips. "Goodnight, Bri..."

"Goodnight, Miles..."

Snuggled up together, the couple fell asleep...

The next morning, Miles woke up to find Bri laying in bed, awake, staring at the ceiling...

"Mornin', Bri..." Miles said, "Something wrong?"

"I don't know..." she replied...

"What's the matter?" He asked...

"About what I said to you last night..." she started, "I really want to help you guys out and win against Argentina, but I just feel like I'm not ready yet. I'm conflicted on whether to help you or to be safe and practice..."

"Bri..." Miles said, "Look at me..."

She turned to face him... "I...wanna help but, I dunno..... I can't choose!"

"Do I need to make the decision for you?"

".....I think so..." she said, covering her face in shame.

"Awww..." Miles said, hugging her. "I feel so sorry for you... Come on, no need to cover up..."

"She moved her hands. "So, what do you think I should do for now, Miles?" Bri asked...

"Well..." he replied, "I think you need just a little more practice. I mean, you're fairly new, and you could use all the practice you can get... I think I'll just have Cloud fill you in, and I'll let you play the next one, okay?"

"Okay..." she replied. "Thanks, and-- OH MY GOD!!"

"What??" Miles said, startled...

"It's 8:30!!"

"Oh damn!! We gotta go!!" He said, jumping out of bed and getting dressed.

Bri ran and pounded on the other two's door. "Guys, get up! We're gonna be late!!"

At those words, Devin and Cloud got up and got ready as well. All four grabbed their beys, and ran for the coliseum downtown...

"C'mon guys!" Miles said, "At this rate, we should be there just in time!!"

Cloud had broke away from the group, running ahead of the group. Miles and Bri were next, followed by Devin, trying to keep up...

"I...can't...keep...going..." Devin said, gasping...

"Yes you can, Devin!!" Miles said, encouragingly. "Come on, you can make it!!"

"NOW I can..." Devin replied, and in no time, he caught up, and the four got there with a few minutes to spare...

The Argentinian team was waiting. "Wow, good running, guys!!" Guillermo complimented. "You made it!!"

"Can we get an automatic win for this?" Cloud said jokingly.

The team laughed. "I wish there was an effort award!" Jesse remarked...

"C'mon, let's head out!" Miles said, and the two teams headed out into the coliseum. They both received a big applause heading out...

The teams stood by their flags in the ground as the DJ entered...

"Hola, everyone!!" he said. "Welcome to the match between the US team of the East Coast and Argentina!! Here's how it works today. The captain picks two members each to play one on one matches, then we finish with the two captains facing off! Teams, do we understand?"

Both teams nodded...

"Okay then! Captains, who's sitting out this match?"

"Bri is sitting out for the US..." Miles replied. As he turned to her, she silently said "Thank you" to him, and stepped back..."

Then Guillermo answered. "Argentina will sit out...Romero Gomez". Romero nodded and stepped back, still holding his Wolf in his hands...

"Okay then!" DJ said. "It is now time for the first match! Captains, who will battle first?"

Both captains pointed to their players...

"Okay, the first match will be...Cloud VS Lionel!"

Both of them approached the stadium, ready to battle. Both attached their beys, and readied for launch.

"Alright bladers!" DJ said, "Ready? 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Cloud's Orojya and Lionel's Pisces hit the stadium.

USA East Coast VS Argentina was underway...

notice yet another contradiction of mine there? Techno and Metal are two totally different things...

Orojya and Pisces kept delivering attacks to each other back and forth, neither backing off.

"Come on, Pisces! Fend him off with all of your power!" Lionel shouted.

"Go Orojya, just keep on fighting!" Cloud commanded...

After much clashing, Lionel decided to make things interesting...

"Come on, Pisces, Special Move!! Shark Attack!!"

A shark flew out of Pisce's Face Bolt and bit down on Orojya. The attack sent Orojya across the stadium, into the barrier. A close call for Cloud.

"Hmmm..." Cloud thought to himself. "I know that one good hit will take care of him, but first, I gotta get around that shark..."

He returned his focus to the stadium. "Orojya, go for 'em!" he said.

Orojya started charging directly at Pisces...

"Go, Pisces! Shark Attack!" Lionel commanded.

As Pisces attacked, Cloud went into action.

"Dodge!" he commanded. The maneuver sent Pisces clashing into the stadium. It tried to attack again. Orojya successfully dodged the move again...

After a bit of dodging later, Pisces was wobbling, out of energy. That's when Cloud struck.

"Go Orojya, Special Move!! Orojya Spear!!" He commanded...

Orojya rose into the air. As it stated it's way down, a Spear surrounded by snakes emerged from the facebolt. Orojya struck with great force and sent Pisces in front of the DJ's chair.

The crowd applauded to the US team. Even if their teams lost, if it was a very favorited team, they'd celebrate...

"The first round goes to Cloud from the US EastSide!!" DJ announced...

Cloud picked up his Orojya and Lionel's Pisces, and walked over to Lionel. He handed Pisces back to him.

"Good match..." Cloud said, "I really liked it..." He held out his hand. Lionel gladly took Cloud's hand, and got up.

Cloud then walked over to his team. "Good job, Cloud!!" Miles said.

"Thanks, Miles..." Cloud said. "Man, that battle tired me out!"

"Okay then!" DJ announced, "Our next match is Devin VS Jesse!"

Devin and Jesse walked up to the stadium. Devin readied his Corona, while Jesse readied her Gemios.

"Bladers ready?" 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!"

Corona and Gemios hit the stadium quickly, and right off the bat, Jesse released Gemios' Special Move.

"Gemios, Flaming Ice Shard!!"

Gemios flew into the air, still spinning, and started dropping shards of ice that were on fire.

Corona got trapped in one of them, and was unable to move.

"No, Corona!!" Devin shouted.

As Gemios flew higher in the air to attack, Miles covered his eyes, terrified of the worst...

"Okay..." Devin thought quickly, "I can't move, but I've been trying something out for a while now, and haven't had to use it until now. It never worked when I practiced, but maybe this time..."

"Corona, Swift Glimmer!!"

With that move, Corona flashed red quickly, and with surprising speed, broke out of the shard and avoided the attack just in time!

"Agh, Gemios!" Jesse said, shocked by the maneuver. Gemios was now moving slower. Still fairly fast, but slow enough for Devin to land his NEW special move...

"Corona, Rainbow Gemstone!!"

A rainbow-colored trail followed Corona as it flew into the air, and as it fell, it made a beautiful rainbow appearance that amazed everyone in the stadium.

Corona clashed right on the side of Gemios, and the attack, sent Gemios sliding across the stadium, and through an opening in the stadium, KO'ing Gemios.

The crowd cheered and applauded at the play.

"What a great way to end that battle!!" the DJ said, "Devin wins with a beautiful display of his new Special Move!"

Devin picked up his bey, and walked over to Jesse. "Good battle!" Jesse said, "I really liked your new Special Move!"

"Yeah, me too..." Devin replied, "First time I tried it!"

They shook hands and walked to their teams. Devin's friends were applauding when he got there.

"Great work, Devin!" Cloud said, "Nice job..."

"Looks like you got a new arsenal, now that you have TWO new special moves!!" Miles added...

"Mhmm.." Devin replied. "I know they'll come in use..."

"Alright, now..." DJ announced. "It's time to see if Argentina will be able to prevent a clean sweep. Our last match, the Cpatain's match! Miles VS Guillermo!"

Both walked up to the stadium, and readied for launch. "Let's do this, Pegasis..." Miles said...

"Ready? 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!"

Miles' Pegasis and Guillermo's Sagittario hit the stadium, and they met in the middle, clashing in the center of the stadium, with each hit, Sagittario was recoiled back much further than Pegasis was.

"You got some power, Miles..." Guillermo commented, "But let's see you deal with this! Sagittario, Special Move! Shower of Flaming Arrows!!"

Sagittario started hovering in the air, sending several flaming arrows onto the stadium. Pegasis was barely dodging each one. Miles knew if Pegasis was struck once, it was over...

"Now what?" He thought, "I'm not able to keep avoiding him. Pegasis is bulky, but if he hits the MF-H, it's over. I gotta find a way up there without risking the loss... Hmmmm..."

As he thought, he noticed one of the arrows just missing Pegasis, almost singing the blue paint off of the wheel...

"That was too close!" Miles thought. "I gotta think of something, NOW! .....I got it!!"

Miles returned his focus to the stadium. "Pegasis, up the ramp!"

Pegasis launched itself up the side of the stadium, flipping to reflect all of the arrows. None of them had the opportunity to get to the face bolt.

"Pegasis is up in the air!" DJ announced. "What's it gonna do?"

"Pegasis! Wing Starbreaker!"

Pegasis Struck Sagittario from under the wheel, ad Sagittario's recoil sent it flying out.

The crowd cheered as Miles won the match...

"In a clean sweep, the US EastSide is the Winning team!!" DJ announced.

Miles picked up Pegasis and shook hands with Guillermo.

"Congratulations to the US team! Let us hope they do well against their next opponent, the Middle East!!"

The four friends waved, and got in the limo to take them to the airport.

"We thank you guys for coming to Buenos Aries and battling us. Hope can visit again sometime!!" Guillermo told the group.

"Thank you, Guillermo...." Miles said. He shook his hand, and the four friends walked down the terminal to go to their flight bound for the Middle East.

During the walk, Cloud received a thought that hurt his head.

"Urrgh..." He said, in slight pain..

As Devin and Bri continued, Miles stopped. "Cloud?" he asked, "You okay?"

"Um...yeah..." Cloud replied, and they continued walking...

Cloud thought about that sight he saw. "All I saw was a Russian flag, a torn up US flag, and I heard laughing... Don't know how this affects me. No idea about the Russian flag. Because I'm part Russian maybe? Maybe it means nothing, but I better watch out, in case it does...."

Cloud kept a blank expression as he got on the plane.

"Cloud..." Miles asked again, "Are you sure you're okay?"

He stammered. "Uhhhh...um...uhhhhhhhhh...I don't..."

Cloud's face went pale, then he fainted...and lost consciousness...

Cloud woke up in a hospital. His teammates were looking at him, worried...

"Ugh..." he said, waking up, "Wha...what happened?"

"You fell on the airplane after we took off..." Miles replied...

"Are we...in the Middle East?" Cloud asked...

"Saudi Arabia to be exact..." Devin answered. "As soon as we landed the Middle Eastern team drove us here as fast as possible... What the hell happened, man?"

"I...I don't know..." Cloud answered. "I saw a vision of something bad, now I can't even remember it now...."

"Were you dreaming about being in the Cold War?" Devin said jokingly...

"Devin, shut up!" Cloud yelled, "Just cause I'm part Russian doesn't make me Soviet, alright?"

"Okay, okay, sorry..." Devin said, frowning... "Won't do it again..."

Cloud got up and shook it off. "Well, we should go to our battle. Wasn't it supposed to start when we landed?"

"Yeah, but it's been suspended til we arrive..." Miles said. "We should probably go get in the vehicle and go to the coliseum with the Middle Eastern team..."

So the group walked out of the hospital and into the limo, where the Middle Eastern team was waiting...

"Cloud, this is the Middle East team. That's Ahmed, the captain. He uses Rock Giraffe R145WB. That's Ali and Ashid Fahar. Ali uses Storm Aries 125S, and Ashid uses Rock Aquario 125SF. Lastly, that's the sub-member, Muhammed. He uses Evil Pisces ED145WD. They don't speak good English, and they're pretty silent. Guys, this is Cloud Starcutter. He uses Shinobi Orojya 90WD..."

The Middle East team nodded. Cloud nodded back...

When they arrived, the two teams entered, and received a round of applause by the crowd when they entered...

The teams stood by their flags as the DJ, who sort of looked like a genie, entered the arena...

"Hello, everyone!!" he announced. "Welcome to the battle between the East Coast US and our Middle Eastern Team!!"

The crowd applauded, then DJ resumed..

"Let's go ahead and get this underway. Teams, discuss who's sitting out...."

The two teams circled up and talked...

"So Bri..." Miles said, "Do you still need some practice?"

"I'm not sure.." She replied, "You make the call..."

"Okay then.." he replied, turning...

"Okay..." the DJ asked, "Who's sitting out..."

Ahmed pointed to a teammate...

"Middle East will sit out sub-member Muhammed Khalir..." DJ said...

As Muhammed stepped back, DJ turned to the US team... "Who will you sit out?"

"Well..." Miles replied, "We will sit out....Cloud Starcutter!"

The crowd gasped in surprise. Cloud's eyes widened in surprise, but he stepped back, nonetheless...

"Okay then..." DJ resumed, "So, who will battle first?"

Both captains pointed once again...

"The first match will be between...Devin Collins and Ashid Fahar!"

As Devin walked to the stadium, Cloud tapped Miles on the shoulder...

"Dude, why are you sitting me out?" He whispered, "Bri wasn't sure of her skills, you know that!"

"Yes I do know that..." Miles whispered back, "But I do know you're under some sort of mental stress. Besides, I'm not letting someone battle when they fainted and went unconscious just a few hours ago..."

"But... But..."

"No but's, Cloud..."

Cloud just sighed... "Maybe he's right..." He thought to himself, "That thought is startling me. I think I should be worried about it. It's ruining my focus..."

At the stadium, Devin and Ashid were ready for launch.

"Bladers, prepare for launch!" DJ said, "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Devin's Corona and Ashid's Aquario hit the stadium and started circling...

"Looks like this battle is underway!!" The DJ announced, "Who will make the first move?"

After circling each other a few times, Devin charged and started landing several attacks on Aquario.

"The Rock wheel has very high recoil." Devin thought to himself, "If I can land a few good hits, he's outta here!"

Devin kept on attacking. However, no matter how many times he hit.

"Wow!" Devin said, "You got a pretty stable bey there Ashid!!"

Ashid nodded in reply, then he rose his hand and threw it down.

"Looks like Ashid is letting out Aquario's Special Move, Raging Hurricane!!"

The attack wiped Corona out, and left him wobbling like crazy. Aquario jumped and began charging at Corona.

"Dodge, Corona!" Devin commanded quickly...

At those words, despite being wobbly, Corona dodged, AND delivered an attack!

Ashid looked surprised but commanded for attack again. Once again Corona dodged and attacked again! After dodging a few more times, Devin made his move.

"Alright, time to finish this!" he remarked, "Special Move! Swift Glimmer!!!"

With incredible speed, Corona smashed into Aquario, and Aquario flew out of the stadium...

The crowd applauded loudly. "And the winner of the first round is Devin from the US!" Devin waved to the crowd, then turned to Ashid. Devin gave him a thumbs up, and Ashid replied with a nod.

As they walked back, DJ announced the next match. "The next match will be between Bri Crawford and Ashid's brother, Ali Fahar!!"

As Ali walked to the stadium, Miles encouraged Bri. "Alright, Bri. This is your first big one on one match. Can you do it?"

"I'm very confident..." she replied...

"Good, now go out there and show them what you got!"

With those words in mind, Bri walked up to the stadium and readied for battle.

"Alright, bladers! 3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

L-Drago and Aries landed. Immediately L-Drago started dodging Aries' early attacks. Thanks to the rubber, L-Drago creeped up and took some of Aries' spin each time she dodged...

"You're doing great, Bri!!" Miles shouted, "Keep it up!!"

Ali was impressed, but then he let out his Special Move, Speed Charge. Aries jumped on top of L-Drago, several times, causing L-Drago to move erratically with each hit and causing it to come closer to the edge every time.

"Oh no, what do I do??? I can't fight him like that!!" she thought. "Maybe...my Special Move? I should at Least try..."

"L-Drago, Dragon Fire Rampage!!" Bri shouted...

L-Drago gained an orange, fiery-like aura and started speeding up. Aries couldn't keep up with the speed and fell off the top of L-Drago. L-Drago then went on a relentless attack and with one final blow, KO'd Aries...

The crowd gave Bri a standing ovation for her first one on one match.

"And the winner of the 2nd round is Bri!!"

She jumped in excitement, ran to Miles and gave him a big hug. "Thank you so much for being my motivation...." she said to him, "It really helped me..."

"No problem, my love..." he replied. "Now, I need YOU to be MY motivation. I gotta match!"

"The final match will be between Miles Serge and Ahmed Mahir!!"

The crowd applauded as the two approached the stadium.

"Let's do this, Pegasis..." Miles said, attaching his bey to his launcher...

"Alright, bladers ready?" DJ asked, "3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!!!"

Pegasis and Giraffe landed in the stadium and started smashing each other quickly. It was the battle of Defense Types.

"Go, Pegasis!!" Miles commanded.

Pegasis and Giraffe kept attacking head on, never backing off for even an instant.

Ahmed slung his arm into the air, summoning Giraffe's Special Move, Strong Arm Flash. A bright yellowish-orange aura emerged from Giraffe, and Giraffe jumped and attacked, hitting Pegasis every time.

"Oh no! Hang in there, Pegasis!!" Miles shouted.

Pegasis resisted all of the attacks, but was getting closer to the edge...

"What can I do now? i gotta stop his attacking..." Miles thought. "Hmmm, maybe my new Special Move!"

"Go Pegasis, Special Move! Delta Barrier!!!"

A strong blue aura rose from Pegasis, and it didn't budge at any of Giraffe's attacks.

Giraffe then weakened and stopped attacking, trying to revive energy.

"NOW PEGASIS!" Miles shouted, "Special Move! Wing Starbreaker!!!"

Pegasis flew up and landed right on the side of Giraffe. Giraffe's recoil sent it flying right into Ahmed's hands...

The crowd cheered and applauded at the amazing battle.

"That's it!! Miles wins, and the US wins in a clean sweep!!" DJ announced.

He then hopped down from his stand and approached Miles with a microphone. "Miles that was a great job you and your team did! How did the Middle East team do, and why did you choose to sit out Cloud?"

"Well, the Middle East team did really good. We totally underestimated them! I think they use a very good strategy, and they know how to quickly, and certainly quietly, execute special moves!"

As for Cloud..."

He paused, and turned to him. Cloud was shaking his head.

Miles turned. "It was just a feeling I had..." Miles lied.

"Thank you Miles! Congrats to the US team! Good luck on your battle in the Phillipines!!"

The team waved, gave the Middle Eastern team Captain a handshake, and left. They got back into the limo, rode back to the airport, and got on a plane bound for the Phillipines...

Cloud received the same thought he saw last time. He cringed and bent over in his chair.

"Cloud?" Devin said, sitting next to him, "You okay??"

"Yeah, just had a pretty bad thought, and NO, it wasn't the Cold War!!"

"Dammit..." Devin said. "Well, maybe some rest will help you. Get some shut-eye..."

"Sure..." Cloud said, and he fell asleep...

When the flight landed in Manila, Phillipines, Devin tried to wake Cloud up...

"Hey Cloud, we landed!!" Devin shouted...

No answer...

"Dude, wake up..."

No answer again...

"Cloud?"

Once again, no answer...

Devin checked for a pulse. "Oh my god! GUYS!" he said to Bri and Miles who were asleep in the seats in front of him.

They jumped up. "What??" Miles asked.

"It's Cloud!! He won't wake up!!!"

They panicked. "OH NO! We gotta take him to the hospital!!"

Devin threw Cloud on his shoulder and the group exited the plane.

"The Phillipines captain said that they're waiting outside to carry us to the hospital. We should hurry!"

They hurried, and rushed Cloud off to the ER.

A few hours later, Cloud finally woke up. "Urrrgh...did...did I faint again?"

"You were unconscious in the seat when we landed..." Devin replied.

"Cloud, are you absolutely sure you're okay?"

"I am.......uh...n...no..." Cloud the fell into a seizure.

"OH MY GOD!!" Bri yelled, "NURSE!!!"

The nurses came in and started trying to take care of his seizure. His friends backed off.

"Something if definitely wrong with him..." Miles said, sternly.

"But what?" Bri asked.

"I don't know..." Miles replied, "But I know that it is something bad...really bad..."
