And c'mon, you know it's just an excuse to have movie tickets cost more to take more of our cash. That's especially insulting because it's like they don't care, anymore. It's okay to want to make money, I can totally understand that, but when you concentrate on graphics too much, a movie becomes CGI-Porn and is usually lacking in every other field.
3D encourages lazyness. That's why I'll never support it.
Also, as for the regular version, the theatre I usually go to pretty much never has a non-3D version. Yeah, it's not the movie-makers' fault, but it's the concept that I find hilariously dumb.
Ugh. I mentioned that there's 2 films I watched simply because of 3D. I mentioned something right after it - that they were bad, and 3D was one of their saving graces. 3D doesn't hide the faults of the film maker, story, and such. They're all still quite visible for audiences to nitpick, and make fun of. The 3D compliments the film. It doesn't replace it.
Cameron had the script for Avatar done since like the 90s. The dude's a visionary and all, but I kind of doubt he suspected 3D technology to support his film back then. That's a flawed film that would've been flawed even if 3D didn't exist. However, 3D gave that film a redeeming quality - a foreign world to visit.
I'd rather a film have some redeeming qualities, be they superficial or otherwise, rather than just being another piece of generic scifi trash.

2 hour commercial, YGO 3-D is. Much like Beyblade's movies. While some movies are better with 3-D, most are not. That is guaranteed to happen. When the plot is bad too, then you simply need to advise as many people as possible NOT to see said crappy movie.

IIRC the Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D film is actually really, really short. It was played in a 1 showing at a bunch of selected venues in the US type of thing, thus I never got to see it.

I think threads like this could'v been made for the fourth Shrek, (Insert Adjective) Movie series, and most of Tyler Perry's TV series', actually, House of Pain needs to be ended if it hasn't already.

Well, Dude should take solace that this is film's opening is the second worst in the series and that it is the least attended opening weekend for the series.

I don't even see the point of Final Destination. All that happens is a couple of kids get on a plane*coaster*motorway etc. kid has a vision. vision comes true. get off the place. watch everyone die on the place. death kills them. last 2 left link it all together then die. the end. What pisses me off is the fact that they put it in 3-D. That's like asking me if I want blood flying across my face for no reason. Final destination is stoooopid

Hah, this is good. Frankly, the directors of this movie need a theme song. "Dare to be Stupid", anyone? My father was one of those people who went to see it, but I managed to weasel my way out.

These movies are generally pretty cheap to make, and do well internationally. If this one ends up way short compared to the last one, I wouldn't be surprised to see the series go Direct-to-DVD.

Don't you also find funny the fact that this is the least attended movie in the series, for the opening week-end, but not the one with the smallest revenue? Shouldn't that show how pointlessly expensive the movie tickets must have been?

Pokemon will not die until Ash is about 35. He's still 10, according to the anime. (Did this guy drink some type of youth elixir?) Anyway, I will rejoice once Final Destination goes belly-up. Frankly, I haven't gone to the movies since DotM because of prices. They're expensive, and not many good movies are slated to release, as far as I know. To be honest, I'm surprised ANYONE went to see it.

Inflation helps, as does the fact that 70% of this movie's tickets sold were in 3D.

I see no point in continuing these movies, although they're interesting because the audience want to see the way they die, that is the only reason why people watch it. I noticed that they took a step further and made it 3D so all the blood will splatter on your face XD. The best movie out of all of the series in probably the third one. AKA, the rollercoaster one.
