RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 03, 2009 that looks awful sorry RE: New WBO Logo - Blue - Mar. 03, 2009 well please explain why. RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 03, 2009 wbo - hallowe'en addition that orange is too bright and using it as the wheel color makes it too overpowering the black is just an odd choice and doesn't go at all with the color-scheme of the site RE: New WBO Logo - Blue - Mar. 03, 2009 true the orange may be too light. I used black because of contrast. navy blue wasn't so great. I gotta another in the oven RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 03, 2009 also you guys are saying all this stuff about logos being flat always, but most logos i see from big companies aren't flat :\ RE: New WBO Logo - Kei - Mar. 04, 2009 (Mar. 03, 2009 11:57 PM)Bey Brad Wrote: also you guys are saying all this stuff about logos being flat always, but most logos i see from big companies aren't flat :\ A lot of them are actually "flat" (vector) since it is easier to scale them to different sizes . Though, having gradients isn't a problem since they are scalable. RE: New WBO Logo - Blue - Mar. 04, 2009 [Image: wbologo3mychangesblue.png] [Image: wbologo3mylightblu.png] some others use only a few colours because its more expensive and harder to reproduce fades or what ever for signage, product embossing, clothing. its still done though. imo I like block colours. RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 04, 2009 those both look pretty bad and you're basically completely disregarding the existing color scheme RE: New WBO Logo - Roan - Mar. 04, 2009 (Mar. 04, 2009 12:18 AM)Bey Brad Wrote: those both look pretty bad and you're basically completely disregarding the existing color scheme Wow, put your carp claws away dude, he's just making suggestions. RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 04, 2009 and i'm telling him what i think of them? RE: New WBO Logo - Blue - Mar. 04, 2009 Its Ok, but you not explaining why so. how else can I or the design improve, right? I know Im kinda snubing the colour scheme but this is the time to do it... anyway logos tend to simple, immediate. they convey a message or brand quicky. the more you complicate it becomes a graphic, which dosen't work everywhere. RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 04, 2009 well either way, you're not really changing anything other than the colours ... the colours you're choosing are too bright and they contrast too much RE: New WBO Logo - Pich - Mar. 04, 2009 Honestly, the logo looks good the way it is. Maybe make the blue slightly lighter(more like the blue on the actual forum) and/or add the gradient fill to the orange. It would make the logo more complex though and IDK if thats a good idea. EDIT: Nevermind, your new logo is what I was saying XD. Use that instead. RE: New WBO Logo - NAP - Mar. 04, 2009 Woah, the Turkey Logo they're trying to get looks pretty cool: http://worldbeyblade.org/thread-2655-post-90684.html#pid90684 RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 04, 2009 (Mar. 04, 2009 2:26 AM)shikamaru526 Wrote: Woah, the Turkey Logo they're trying to get looks pretty cool: i made that as well RE: New WBO Logo - NAP - Mar. 04, 2009 (Mar. 04, 2009 2:28 AM)Bey Brad Wrote:(Mar. 04, 2009 2:26 AM)shikamaru526 Wrote: Woah, the Turkey Logo they're trying to get looks pretty cool: Amazing! Good design! To be honest, I like that one the most. RE: New WBO Logo - sousa98 - Mar. 04, 2009 Me to! RE: New WBO Logo - Bey Brad - Mar. 04, 2009 The L-Drago outline doesn't make for a very good logo. It's way too complicated. But, ZenX wanted that in the banner. RE: New WBO Logo - Aqua - Mar. 04, 2009 yeah, tbh I didn't like the blade (L-drago) used in the turkish logo. It just doesn't look right..... I guess the Pegasis wheel does best represent the WBO. lol RE: New WBO Logo - KidTala - Mar. 04, 2009 The L-Drago outline makes it look a bit..you know...triangle lol RE: New WBO Logo - Giga - Mar. 04, 2009 Well I think it's really cool! Can do the first few pages. They are all flat colour. 99% of all the logos on this google image search have logos with flat colour: http://images.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&q=logos. Ask any designer and chances are he will say, if not hint on, that flat colour is best for logo design. RE: New WBO Logo - Raykon - Mar. 05, 2009 Wow,you can see them getting better and better.Nice job Brad for the Logo's RE: New WBO Logo - NAP - Mar. 05, 2009 (Mar. 04, 2009 12:00 PM)BeyUK-Espio Wrote:(Mar. 03, 2009 11:57 PM)Bey Brad Wrote: also you guys are saying all this stuff about logos being flat always, but most logos i see from big companies aren't flat :\ Wikipedia doesn't have a flat design? |
