You said Bleach twice (Although it is pretty violent) but yeah, it would ban pretty much all anime ever. Hell, even in Lucky Star, a show about a bunch of regular school girls in their daily lives, has sexual themes and some violence. I think I'm going to kill myself... There is that scene in episode 6 where they're at the beach, Miyuki is wearing a two piece bikini, so that might just get the whole series banned (then again the manga is the only part that is still going on) RE: Anime New Law?? - ThePokeBlader - Apr. 21, 2011 This rule is so unfair so theres gonna be no fighting in anime but in those rubbish cartoons theres is fightining allowed RE: Anime New Law?? - To - Apr. 21, 2011 (Apr. 21, 2011 2:02 PM)Kaioken Wrote: Again this is probably not real. No, it is real. It is the Youth Ordinance Bill 156. Described by ANN as: The current ordinance already prevents the sale and renting of "harmful publications" — materials that are "sexually stimulating, encourages cruelty, and/or may compel suicide or criminal behavior" to people under the age of 18. Bill 156 would require the industry to also regulate "manga, anime, and other images (except for real-life photography)" that "unjustifiably glorify or exaggerate" certain sexual or pseudo sexual acts. Another section of the revised bill would allow the government to directly regulate the above images if the depicted acts are also "considered to be excessively disrupting of social order" such as rape. Doesn't sound that bad when you don't have ignorant nonsense spread around as fact. It really just sounds that they're going after torture porn and the like (which may mean Highschool of the Dead is gone, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make), so like Gantz may be in trouble? Oh well. By the way, these regulation guidelines went into effect April 1. Did anyone notice a sharp decline in violence in anime this season? Because I certainly didn't. But nah, let's not talk facts let's talk about how anime is some obscure snob teenage and adult only form of expression that is sacred and shouldn't be touched in anyway. Let's just forget the fact that this, this and this are all anime. But nah, those can't be anime because they don't have sex, and violence, those are only for babies, that isn't anime! Let's forget that the term "anime" is just Japanese for animation, a term that doesn't describe genre, tone, or target audience, but rather just a medium of expression for everyone. You know what I wish I could forget? This thread. The ignorance and stereotyping just tells me how far Japan's pop culture has failed in actually conveying what it really means. During the whole bath scene. Other than that, the series is pretty clean. Then again, I still have to finish the series.(Apr. 21, 2011 12:45 PM)AxBlader Wrote: This would ban things like Beyblade, Bleach, Rosario + Vampire, DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, Bobobobobo, Bleach, and even Spongebob. RE: Anime New Law?? - Dude - Apr. 22, 2011 C'mon, they buy Yaoi mangas, one of the character is always complexed about the size of her breasts and they play mildly violent video games. This is obviously the most +18 Anime ever. Hellsing and Higurashi got nothing on Lucky Star, man. (At least in the Manga, anyways...) XD RE: Anime New Law?? - BDaichi - Apr. 23, 2011 The new law is for purchasing anime/manga 18+ and kid anime/manga is located in the same area in japan. 18+ stuff just has a sign/paper that covers the box art. Like Naruto would be next to "insert hentai manga title here" if there both be began with NA The new law pretty much states that 18+ has to be in a separate room/section then the clean stuff. |
