i think it looks nice, but i'm probably thinking of canceling my appointment tomorrow to think it over harder. it does symbolizes something for me and has meaning, but this could be my naivish side thinking it over right now.

Haha, my friend actually has one of those. Looks good as hell, plus in the summertime it kinda looks like it's tucked into her bottom string.

I think it looks fine. And if it has a special meaning to you it shouldn't matter how popular or stereotypical it is.

also, tattoos themselves are fine but the whole kanji thing is a stupid fad IMO

RE: Tattoos - Deikailo - Feb. 07, 2009

Instead of kanji for "strength", why don't you illustrate your own meaning of strength? Find a few things you find symbolic to the term, draw them in one pictures, and bury the letters within the picture.

The Celtic language has some pretty good symbols for words like that. Should look into that, too.

Why did you post then? xD

Anyways, don't get a tattoo you'll regret later. You could always get one of those ones that are permenant except for when they react with special solutions and stuff in which case it's easy to remove. They last like 10 years...

RE: Tattoos - Omega - Sep. 12, 2009

When I finish high school, I'm gonna get a transmutation circle from Fullmetal Alchemist, on my arm just like Scar's right arm Eee

RE: Tattoos - Spinster - Sep. 12, 2009

Interesting tattoo stories that make them both pointless and worthwhile:

My friend once told me about this guy she graduated high school with who was a bit of a stoner. On graduation day, before the ceremony, he went and got the word ARBOREAL tattooed in huge block letters around his neck. When asked what he was thinking, he said he'd heard it meant "dealing with marijuana". Apparently, he'd misinterpreted the definition "pertaining to trees". A good example of why it's ridiculous to get words, in ANY language, tattooed on your body.

The same friend has a really amazing tattoo covering the middle of her back. It's of a Seraph with a number of wings. It's an inherited tattoo. All the women in her family get it at a particular age, and each generation adds another wing. I believe her count was 13 wings.
