RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Galaxy - Apr. 19, 2011 I don't agree with this: Quote:Weighing in at 4.5 grams, GB145 is one of the heaviest tracks available. However, in terms of performance it is outclassed by the likes of BD145 and 230, as they absorb hits far more effectively than GB145. You can't compare GB145 to BD145 and 230,in my opinion. They have different works: GB145 gives a lot of weight and works similary to Draciel's BB. Its defect is in its shape: it's not a regular circle,it's oval; unfortunately it doesn't help during last rotations. Also, you can use this track in Attack Customization to give more weight to your Beyblade and improve its Smash Attack. BD145 is the largest track, and it doesn't absorb hits better than GB145; this is because of its shape: if you'll try to use a Gravity Perseus or LLDrago in Spin Stealer Customization,BD145 will be your defeat cause. Also, there's no reason to use BD145 in Attack Customization. Example: MF-H Hell Bull BD145 RF vs MF-H Hell Bull x145 RF. These two combos are quite similar, but in a match the first one has got BD145 that doesn't improve nothing of your combo due to its diameter that is the same of opponent's Hell. So,it's useless. In other combos, you'll have got always that the diameter of your MW will be minor than BD145,and with lower Attack Customizations,or with some bad combo with a low profile, you'll lose because of the hits of your opponents on the track! 230 is the best track for stamina\defense customizaions, but it hasn't got the weight of GB145,and you can't use 230 for Attack Customization! My opinion,of course! Sorry if it's quite confusing, but i'm italian T_T RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Ultra - Apr. 19, 2011 Why not compare them? Makes no sense. Yes they don't work the same way but this is why BD145 and 230 outclass GB145. They both do better than it for defence. BD145 and 230 have been quite significant in the revival of defence combos whereas they were failing with just GB145 and R145. Infinity does have some use and can be useful if earth, basalt and libra aren't available. I not agree with you completely. Also, your sentence is too much generic in my opinion! I said my opinion in the last post! I'm not saying that GB145 is absolutely better than BD145 and 230. I'm only saying that GB145 can be used both in ATtack and Defense Customizations,230 no. BD145 isn't so good as you think in my opinion. Do you agree with me that in a match: MF-H Hell Bull BD145 RF vs MF-H Hell Bull x145 RF,BD145 has no use? Also, have you tried to play BD145 against Spin Stealers? Here we say that you can't compare apples with oranges xD Ah,you said it! Read the bolded sentence, please! I'm talking about the capacity of GB145 to be played also in Attack customizations! 230>GB145 only for defense customizations! BD145<GB145. My opinion; reasons in precedent posts! RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - BeyPhilosopher - Apr. 20, 2011 I changed it to GB145 being defensively outclassed. Mentioning GB145's superior attack to 230 and BD145 would be a bit unnecessary. (230 is good on BBP as Mr. N said) For attack, I think H145 would be better than GB145. Prove me wrong if I am. Also, look at all the Basalt and Earth related threads; you should see GB145, BD145, and 230 testing. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Kai-V - Apr. 20, 2011 As I keep repeating, "outclassed" is too strong a word. People use it as if it were a pebble on the ground they could pick up at any moment. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - BeyPhilosopher - Apr. 20, 2011 How about slightly outclassed or surpassed or excelled "GB145 has been defensively surpassed/excelled by the likes of 230 and BD145" slightly surpassed slightly excelled RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Kai-V - Apr. 20, 2011 "Surpass" is good. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - BeyPhilosopher - Apr. 20, 2011 (Apr. 20, 2011 3:31 AM)Kai-V Wrote: "Surpass" is good. Okay. I understand. It's like someone throwing a football 50 yards, and another person throwing it 53 yards. The second person surpassed the other, but didn't outclass, like surpass greatly. Sorry if that's a stupid analogy, if that's even the right word to use. Anyway, I'll change the wording. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Ultra - Apr. 29, 2011 I think the article is pretty much done. Kei should be notified. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - HorogiumX - May. 02, 2011 You still haven't put up my edit yet... RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Rustled Jimmies - May. 02, 2011 TBH, I don't think that THAT edit is really needed. Gramatically, it's correct, and it's straight to the point. But I think, IMO, it's better to combine the last two sentences, "It's only useful part, GB145, can be purchased through Earth Virgo GB145BS, which is a better buy. This beyblade should only be bought for collective purposes," so that it'd look like, "It's only useful part, GB145, can be purchased through Earth Virgo GB145BS, which is a better buy, so this Beyblade should only be bought for collective purposes." (Edited part in bold) Problem I feel with this suggestion of mine is that it MIGHT look a bit too bulky or cluttery to others, like comma splicing or whatever (which I'm pretty bad at identifying). You can make the edit or leave it as is, since it really looks fine on its own, too. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Ga' - May. 03, 2011 (Jan. 18, 2011 3:25 AM)KidJSoul Wrote: Infinity is meant to be a rendition to the original Metal System Libra as it shares the same aesthetics with it being round and interrupted with small indents, though it has been proven that Infinity's performance as a defensive wheel is not as great as many other Metal Wheels such as Basalt. A major problem is that Infinity is slightly thinner, which reduces the "barrier" that a defensive bey is suppose to have, and its indents cause recoil, while another noticeable difference is that it significantly weighs less than most Metal Wheels in general, thus making it get knocked around easily. Just nitpicking here: First edit should be corrected. Second/Third is optional, it just flows better the way I edited it IMO, and fourth is a typo. But great article! RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Mr. N - May. 03, 2011 Ga, it's supposed to be than, not then. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Ga' - May. 03, 2011 Ah, thanks, didn't see that. It was originally 'the', whoops. (^_^') RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - BeyPhilosopher - May. 04, 2011 But Ga, if I do some of your edits, the Infinity section will just be three long sentences. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Ga' - May. 04, 2011 Yeah, those were the 'optional edits'. Just something I thought would be good for the flow, but it's fine without those. So that's all. Looks all good to me. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - BeyPhilosopher - May. 04, 2011 Hmm, thanks dude. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Kai-V - May. 12, 2012 I worked on this draft : Quote:Type: Stamina If you have any suggestions, go ahead. Otherwise, with what we know about Infinity Libra, it should be done. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Shabalabadoo - May. 12, 2012 Yep, looks gorgeous. One teeny thing, right before the overall section, you wrote "all of the latter", and in this case that would mean "all of the Diablo's". Just change latter to aforementioned. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Kai-V - May. 12, 2012 OK, it is fixed. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - Kai-V - Jun. 03, 2012 This article is now published. Congratulations to everybody who worked on this. RE: Infinity Libra GB145S Article - T. L-Drago 9207 - Jun. 06, 2012 WHen I looked at the article, I noticed a mistake in the Other Versions section; Thunder Libra 145S. Thunder Libra has the DF145BS combo, not the old 145S. |
