Sincerely sorry to hear that Anubis.
I really hope you feel better and things improve.

My uncle is a douchebag and said something to make me blow up at him, my mom got totally drunk (or high on pain meds, I don't know) and lied to me about it, and I just hit the wall as hard as I have since I've been here in New York. Man. carp...

I went out to dinner by myself. Good tiramisu, I guess.

hope you wore the pink boa

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - Grey - Nov. 01, 2008

My Hallowe'en was pretty cool. We watched Halloween first, then The Shining. The latter made absolutely no sense and was really long-winded, but it left a lot of lasting impressions.

At least now I know where people keep coining the phrase "Heeere's Johnny!" from.

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - NAP - Nov. 02, 2008

Me and my circle of friends went around the neighborhood robbing little kids for their candy! lol jk (angel on my shoulder says that's a sick joke)
No we T o T'd a little bit, then watched Iron Man having popcorn fights in the middle....

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - Spinster - Nov. 02, 2008

The phrase "Heeeeeeere's Johnny" is from the old days of The Tonight Show featuring Johnny Carson. It was used in the Shining as an homage to that.

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - Blue - Nov. 02, 2008

Haha I meant I trashed the rest after the mall! Sorry about that.

I had like 2 shirts underneath since I didn't want to walk around with an exposed front.

Anyways here's what I did afterwards: [Image: n1280610237_30086692_7698.jpg]

Yeah, the movie ain't all that great. It implies that the house is what's driving Jack Torrance to insanity. I suggest picking up a copy of the novel, it's a great read.

G, you look tough as nails in that picture.

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - G - Nov. 03, 2008

I got the sword for like $35 lol. I'm planning on painting the back side though since it's just blank.

haha thanks I guess. Anyone could take me out if they tried Wink

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - NAP - Nov. 03, 2008

lol. You really should paint it!

RE: Hallowe'en 2008! - bladehoarder - Nov. 03, 2008

My dorm had a costume contest a few days before halloween. I made an awesome giygas costume, but no one new what I was supposed to be.

The next day I went to the UGA anime club costume contest and most people recognized my costume. I even carried around "text boxes" cosisting of Giygas's battle dialog!

You have the PERFECT hair for that, Brad.

A few friends and I are going to play a prank on the entire neighborhood. Eight of my pals will be made-up and dressed to look like zombies. We're dishin' out a good amount of cash to make sure the make-up and latex is really convincing. Then my best friend and I are going to dress up as distressed trick-or-treaters, with parts of our clothes torn and a few scratches on our arms.

We're gonna go to every other house, frantically beating on the door until someone answers. Instead of asking for candy, I inform them that my friend has just been injured and that we're in desperate need of assistance. I'll ask them to help hold my friend as we escort him to my car. Whilst we try to get him strapped in, my zombie buds draw near us in the typical lethargic fashion, making disgruntled, inaudible moans.

My best friend's girlfriend is gonna try to film the entire thing, and we plan on making a compilation of all the events afterwards. Hope we get good results.

I have yet to see this video compilation; I was quite looking forward to it. =[

Ahh, I forgot to update you guys on that.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned... One of my best friends who was going to participate in it had to go trick-or-treating with his 1-year old son. My other two friends who were supposed to play the zombie roles got tied up in trick-or-treating with their nieces and nephews at the last minute. That just left me, my best friend, and his girlfriend. We wanted to have his girlfriend film us from afar, so the victims wouldn't suspect anything. My best friend had already applied the latex bite mark and scratches to his arm, and we were ready to roll. We couldn't pull of this stunt because of children... dammit, they win again...

I was bummed out at first, but then the presidential election rolled around, and I forgot all about it. Today (or yesterday, rather) was my best friend's birthday, so I guess that compensates.

Maybe next year :\

Shame, if you can get it done next year that will be good. I'll hope for a video. =P

Anyone have a good fireworks night btw? I just saw some cool fireworks. =D
