RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Benjohadi - Sep. 22, 2011 It wont do greater than XF/ RF/ R2F/ LRF..it wont hold the fast velocity for long..XD not as long as XF i mean..XD RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Real Madrid - Sep. 26, 2011 Ares is terrible on defense combo, huh? RE: Vari Ares Discussion - th!nk - Sep. 26, 2011 Yes, the large spaces and spikes, combined with the weight being based on the perimeter of the wheel make it a terrible choice for defense. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Shika blade - Sep. 26, 2011 Isn't dat common sense? BTW, vari ares CH120R2F is soooo good Last time, my beylauncher L/R is just faulty. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - PlayMadeSimple - Sep. 27, 2011 Just regarding an old post on the tenth page, sorry if its been clarified before. Metal Flat, while somewhat slow under certain circumstances can be sped up by using a modified rev up launcher, which I believe is legal; from memory: Quote: The rev up launcher must either be used as a regular beylauncher, or as it was intended, by revving it up. I can vouch for MF's performance on left spin attack types, and while right spin is as great as left in every way, if not better a OHKO variant using left spin MF with a rev up launcher may do the trick. On another note, Variares should be a fairly viable option in the current metagame, with what I think to be flooding with skids using B as time progresses and Orion becomes more accessible. I do think however, these things are getting to peoples mind. Things such as OMG I AM L337 BEYBLADEZ0R I HAZ BLOOSEE LAWNCH don't really exist, and by denying yourself that you can't shoot as well as Bluezee practically messes with your mind. I'll make a post in some sticky later regarding something along these lines even, about how the forums are flooded with skiddies who keep changing their mind and calling things they never knew before common sense. (Yes, Shika. That means you too.) In addition, everytime I face MF-H Variares CH120RF vs Basalt GB145CS, Variares and Basalt collide and they both ko, and other times only variares ko's. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Dan - Sep. 27, 2011 I would have specified if it was 145 height. (By writing CH145.) Why not post a video of what you're experiencing. TBH it isn't hard at all. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - BeybladeStation - Sep. 27, 2011 I used 120 height, I doubt that biggest difference is made, though.. I wish I could, but I don't have access to a video camera right now, and my webcam is broken. I however did change the RF to R2F and I got the right spin results correct. But, I can't get the left spin results that Dan got. But, the results are just like the ones in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8hmu-I1ty4&feature=related RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Dan - Sep. 27, 2011 When your RF is less aggressive than your CS, you have a problem. Also, the kids launching is terrible.. That is probably your problem too. I'll try and post a vid some day, TBH should have posted on earlier. I need a new RF though. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - H8R - Sep. 28, 2011 I finally got mine in th mail and should get tests up by Friday But until then I have something to say Since my CH120 is faulty I can't get tests done because of that(I'm getting a new one on Friday) VariAres has a harder time ko'ing basalt than Blitz (note: I wanted to know where to post comparative tests for both wheels as well as a video to prove it) VariAres (in comparison) doesn't KO basalt TH170 as well as Blitz does... All I'm saying is though VariAres has definitely been incredible Blitz is getting better results for me... ( tests shall be done soon) RE: Vari Ares Discussion - H8R - Sep. 30, 2011 I've posted these in the Blitz discussion as well Comparative tests for Blitz And VariAres Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Dan - Oct. 01, 2011 .. If you're going to use CH, use 120. You should probably re-organize it liek this: Blitz whatever combo vs. Basalt whatever and then VariAres whatever combo (same track/bottom as previous Blitz test.) vs. Basalt (same) RE: Vari Ares Discussion - H8R - Oct. 01, 2011 alright then I should get those tests done in an hour or two if you don't mind... I should also have many combos to test against.... Here they are : R145RF (Click to View) CH120RF (Click to View) S130RF (Click to View) GB145MF (Click to View) RE: Vari Ares Discussion - gibsonmac - Oct. 08, 2011 (Oct. 01, 2011 3:33 PM)H8R Wrote: alright then I should get those tests done in an hour or two if you don't mind... Blitz is a KO Beast!!! yeah my VariAres is a submission specialist as well, but it can get down with the gets downs when the occasion calls for it. He had double posted. It got deleted. The content of his second post is now gone. The post was nothing substantial either, though. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - BeybladeStation - Oct. 25, 2011 Who says this thread cannot die? Honestly, I feel VariAres would be good to compare to Death, I would love to see how TT worked on it. He wants people to see how Death stacks up against VariAres, to see how valid it is as an Attack and Defense part. Someday we will be able to understand you again, BBS. Godspeed. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Dan - Oct. 25, 2011 Ah, I get it now LOL Man that wording is vague.. Godspeed indeed. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - KiLL_SwiTcH - Oct. 26, 2011 In the combo MF Variares CH120R2F, do you ever use the CH145 height? Because, I hear it can KO 230 even at 120 height. I'm waiting for my Variares to come, so I want to know the do's and don't of that combo. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Hazel - Oct. 26, 2011 (Oct. 26, 2011 12:11 AM)KiLL_SwiTcH Wrote: In the combo MF Variares CH120R2F, do you ever use the CH145 height? ANY other 145 track is basically preferable, aside from maybe ED145. CH120 will do everything better on Vari. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - gibsonmac - Oct. 26, 2011 That is so not accurate, if you have a properly functioning CH120 ie. TT from the phantom orion WBBA parts set (finally a perfect one) then the 145 is VERY usable, while true there are not MANY situations where 120 wont KO where the 145 will, there are in fact situations were the 145 WILL make the KO easier for people not as proficient with the RF/R2F... such as the 230/220 matchup, 145 may not be necessary for the KO(but hey neither is left spin) but its nice to have because it sure can make your job easier sometimes(just as the left spin option, even though it's proven through testing to be not as powerful).. Of course if all you have is the avg Hasbro, or even a lot of the TT booster variety, then this is largely irrelevant, the 145 rarely stays at 145, at if it does, it is VERY wobbly which results in loss of power... so if you use 145, make sure its one of the good ones. That said, CH120 is probably the best track to use in the most situations from my personal experience (height change aside), the R145 is more of a Heavy Attacker and you would want to pair it with MFH, to compare to pistols, CH120 is the 9mm, while the R145 is the .45ACP... both are useful, but different in overall feel and performance. RE: Vari Ares Discussion - Dan - Oct. 26, 2011 Even with a proper working CH145 it still means nothing: 120 is still flat-out better. Yo, KiLL_SwiTcH, if you search this thread (top right tool-bar) with that combination, I have some tests of MF-H VariAres CH120RF vs. Basalt 230CS in 120 height where it gets 100% easily. I think BBS has some tests on the same combo vs. something too.. :V |
